  1. I recently ordered their F-15J/DJ update set from them and was VERY impressed. Took less than a week from ordering, very securely packed. The quality of the parts is excellent and the instructions are outstanding - 2 sides in full colour showing where the parts go and pictures of the real thing. Just a shame the pound has gone against the USD
  2. Thats a real nice collection you got there I prefer my Phantoms with open cockpits mind, but thats just a personal preference (doesn't look like an F-4 to me with the canopy down )
  3. Forgive me if I am doing you a dis-service Damien, but this is the first WIP thread of yours that I can recall on BM - you certainly don't do things by half when you do get stuck in! All I can say is, you must really, really want a 72nd scale Attacker in your collection Thats some fine work so far on a kit that clearly requires "a little bit of work" as Bill likes to say
  4. Nice looking work - this kit has now arrived at Hannants, £32!!!! Thirty Two!!! I really want a JASDF one, but not at that price!
  5. Looking forward to seeing this one Mike - for me Bomber Command Lancasters are right up there with grey F-16s in the snooze stakes, but I do love a nice Lanc in anything other than green & brown over black
  6. Great pics as always - last Herc shot is best one for me. Is that C130 a streched one btw? Fuselage looks longer than normal.
  7. Looking good.....will look even better when weathered!
  8. That looks terrific Mike - I think you are correct about the Klear blending everything in, the paintjob looks much better in the 2nd shot.
  9. Nice - is this the recent boxing?
  10. Platz decals from HLJ http://www.hlj.com/product/PLZJD-3 http://www.hlj.com/product/PLZJD-21 http://www.hlj.com/product/PLZJD-22
  11. No Bill, JMN would be complaining about the thickness of the wheels or shade of green. Complaining about the nose cannons on an F6 is stating the bleedin obvious!
  12. No, in the 3rd pic down, the blister goes over the porthole to the right of the orange box
  13. Fairey Gannet T.2 of the Marineflieger using the Trumpeter 1/72 kit, OOB http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26721
  14. This is looking really good Karl - the Airfix Hawk is a bit basic but a really good kit can be made from it with some work.
  15. Alas, I don't think my caviar nose weight was sufficient to do the job - she's still a tail sitter (hence the blu-tac ) I also made a bit of a dogs dinner of the canopies Was **very** impressed with the Trumpeter decals, extremely thin, and went on gorgeous with a bit of Klear/Future. Apart from the stencils that is, not sure why there would be a stencil on the engine saying "The Spassers will be prosecuted" but there you go Still, my first finished model of 2009 - wanted to get one done early doors to set me up for the rest of the year.
  16. If you use the Great North Roads 1/35 Horsa, you will be my hero for a whole week!
  17. Nice progress so far - I thought when I opened my box that the pilots looked a bit funny! Reminds me of the pilots in the Airfix Vulcan who are massive as these are small.
  18. I feel your pain mate...check out my An-32 thread I just started. And I bet you've at least got location points for your parts....
  19. Been beavering away on this beastie for a couple of weeks, now I've finally got something worth showing Interior pics first of all - interior isn't too bad, certainly a good base for those who have the refs, time, skill and inclination to detail it up. However I'm too lazy, and 99% of it won't be seen once the fuselage is closed up Fuselage closed up I think we might be needing some filler..... And this is what we are working towards. Always loved the Antonov series of turboprops, and the An-32 is easily my favourite with its high mounted engines
  20. Just finished reading a book on the Cassino battles - not pleasant. War is never pleasant, but those battles were particularly bad, entire divisions virtually wiped out in a day or 2 of fighting.
  21. Just be careful you don't take up Philology by mistake, or you're liable to end up as the lead character in a CS Lewis novel.... Oh, nice model btw
  22. Hello Leigh, great to see you back - and with a build as well. Car looks terrific, although maybe some dust on the tires wouldn't be amiss. I know its Montys staff car, so would be kept clean, but it is driving on what looks like a dirt track The drivers uniform looks really glossy, as do Montys trousers. Base is nice though.
  23. I was looking forward to seeing how you would handle the paintjob - looking forward to further updates!
