  12. If you are going to leave the top coat of paint for a day before starting the chipping process, be careful of the paint that you apply. Tamiya acrylic paint (which isn't a water based acrylic) will only work an hour or two after you apply it. This is because it dries rock hard and it'll make it difficult for the water you apply when you start the chipping process to penetrate the top coat of paint. HTH, Tom
