  1. Welcome to BM! For a first effort, all I can say is – blimey! Top work. When I re-started after the inevitable hiatus of growing up enough to re-visit childhood hobbies my first effort looked very much like my childhood had barely elapsed at all! Really nicely done, and it looks like your learning curve is steep but well shaped. One top tip for straight lines - Tamiya masking tape is incredibly, invaluably useful. It's worth paying the premium for it - low tack, so it doesn't lift off paint, and infinitely moveable. Looking forward to seeing your next build!
  2. Absolutely superb. I'm absolutely blown away by the level of detail in the paint finishing - just stunning. Top, top work...simply wonderful.
  3. Gosh - that looks absolutely fantastic! You'd never guess it was what - from preconceptions - may be quite a simple, basic kit. Beautiful finishing too - really like this!
  4. That's absolutely terrific work - what a great idea too! Lovely execution on the NMF, very realistic...
  5. That's a beauty! Great work on the painting - very realistic, and a very eye-catching scheme.
  6. That's an absolute corker. Love the subtlety yet visibility of the weathering - wholly appropriate for the scale, and the build and overall paintwork is fantastic. Very inspiring.
  7. That's absolutely lovely! What a great build and fantastic painting...top job!
  8. That's an absolutely beautiful build. Terrific work with the complex canopy - and lovely mottling camo!
  9. Fantastic build and great finishing - love the paintwork. Great job.
  10. Startlingly good work there - incredible weathering. I like to think of weathering as being impressionistic - sure, you can go for absolute accuracy, but I'd rather be drawn in with a bit of drama such that I want to know the story of the machine in question and the people who flew and worked on her. After all, if you wanted absolute accuracy, there's no substitute for sheet metal and 1:1 scale! I absolutely love this.
  11. That's a great build of a fiddly kit - I've built the Mk.I which is from the same moulds and found it surprisingly awkward, cracking decals though. Top job! - EDIT - A repeat comment! Evidently I really do like this build!
  12. Fantastic build - great to see such a beautiful bird in unusual markings, and that's some top-notch weathering. Extremely realistic, especially around the cockpit.
  13. What a cracking group of builds. Very interesting subjects too. Top work!
  14. Absolutely lovely work...great job all round, great NMF.
  15. Cracking build - what a beautiful model! I've just added one of these to my stash and reckon I might well take your WIP as inspiration! Great job!
  16. Absolutely lovely builds - really quite inspiring actually. Lovely work...
  17. That's a cracking build...terrific work. Fantastic lustre to the finish too...
  18. That's an absolute corker of a build. Having just completed a rather hapless Italeri 87B, it's inspirational to see what can be done in more skilled hands. Wonderful.
  19. Very very subtle weathering - great job. Love that, despite it not being my usual kind of aircraft...
  20. What a brute of a machine! Fantastic job - lovely finish. Top work Russ.
  21. Great job on such an old kit - lovely finish and weathering.
