  1. I'll be following this one, always a kit I've thought about doing. Your cockpit and photography is excellent as well.
  2. René, I've just had a conversation with the current owner. Those decals are really old (1998 vintage potentially!) so might be a bit suspect. If you could scan the sheets and send me a copy, i'd appreciate it greatly!
  3. So I can't recommend CAM decals at all. They don't seem to be able to conform to compound curves at all and any attempt to manipulate them results in them snapping. I've followed the directions to the letter provided by CAM. They confirm lovely where there's only a slight curve like the main body of the external tank or the cockpit sidewalls but as soon as you throw the tapering areas in such as the nose or the tip of the tank, they won't bend and just break. Not happy at all as this will leave me right in limbo. Having to consider masking and spraying all of the main markings now which will add so many more hours onto this build!
  4. Gloss Coat is down. I've redone the aux intake doors as well out of brass. I cut them off the fuselage to make them easier to paint up and decided they looked crap. Also tried out Ammo's panel line washes for white to try and give it a bit more depth. Experimented with some metal foil as well but it's far too thick for modelling.

  6. After a lengthy break on this one, bit more progress. Starting to get everything together... Tail section metallics completed... According to the references I've found, it's the only part of the jet that showed any real weathering or signs of use. I've also since got the desk tidied up and I've got all of the primary paint down.
  7. Use the resin sidewalls and seat, keep the kit pit? Careful painting and it comes up nicely. I'm working on one of these at the moment - Also, be careful with the wing assembly for the leading edges and the tips. Very careful alignment and precision will save you a lot of hard work later on. ASK ME HOW I KNOW!
  8. Excellent paint work, I really like the camo!
  9. I had a fall out with Kinetic over this kit but yes I think all the pylons are there just not referenced in the instructions. Instructions may as well be binned!
  10. YEah, hopefully the 1.48th was a learning experience and they'll be some UK weapons included in this one! Very much looking forward to picking this one up.
  11. T-pylon on the centre line with two on!
  12. Good work Pagey, I really like that!
  13. Love that paint finish, really want to get me some of those Mr. paints.
  14. Muzz, that chipping is excellent. I'll have to remember that technique for when I want some chips.
  15. No, there's more differences between the -12 and -13. They revised the intakes so some of the air scoops are separate parts for starters.
  16. Good job on that, kit looks awesome. I was hoping for 5 32nd Tornados at the end though
  17. Cracking work, the variation in the paint breaks the grey up nicely.
  18. I really like the paint work on the wings, the staining on the white is excellent.
  19. Pete, start testing the landing gear soon as well, it's a right swine to get in right.
  20. Collin, your finish in that last photo looks pretty good to me, nice work.
  21. This is looking good so far, hasn't put my off building one yet!
  22. Really like this one Arkady, like the 'clean' look you've managed to pull off
  23. Dora, any response to the fact this isn't a new kit but a copy of the Trumpeter one?
