I finally got the last two finished, it's funny how the first and last photos are both Jordan Products kits. The Ju 87 was a hard slog as the canopy was broken in two when I got it and I had to plug mould a replacement. I used painted decal paper to make the canopy frames, something I first tried on my B-26C and I'll be doing again. It's tedious work but the result is great.

The Hawk is a great airframe for kit bashing, I whipped up a cranked arrow version with canards about 15 years ago. It's still one of my favourite whiffs I've produced over the years.

Would "War Machine" from Iron Man 2 be OK to enter? If not I be entering Farsia from Gundam AGE. I might end up doing both to be honest, plus some Star Wars & Battlestar Galactica stuff.

Since I've voted for this one I may as well get involved. If I can find decals in 72nd for a Rhodesian Air Force Hawker Hunter and no-one has bagged that nation already you've got an entry but I see Zimbabwe has been taken so what's the ruling there?

I asked the same question but I was going to do Revell's 1/144 kit with the Xtradecals...

If we can build a subject from any period in aviation history, what are the rules regarding countries that no longer exist in name only? E.g., Rhodesia becoming Zimbabwe after independence in 1980? If I'm allowed, I'll do Rhodesia.

But unfortunately it's a "no go" on Rhodesia.

Sorry, but under the rules we are working to a 'regime change' does not qualify as a separate country (apologies too if I've misrepresented the political history of Zimbabwe with that last statement!).

Finished!

After spraying a light coat of Citadel's Agrax Earthshade to the muddy bits to add a final tone I gave the entire model a light spray of Clear. Once this had dried I sprayed it with a mix of Clear and Tamiya's Flat Base to give it a nice matt coat. I then used a fine brush to dab Clear over areas I want to look like wet mud, capillary action lets it spread naturally and pulls it up seams and joins.
