    I'm slowly realising why there aren't any WiPs of the Sword Spitfire XIV... it's one of those kits that looks good on the sprue but doesn't go together well.

      Rob, don't let the fact that the XIV's cockpit makes the fuselage spread so much you need to do some serious shaving of the wingroots, after cutting the bottom part of the instrument panel off and shaving the sides of what's left (and trimming bit the seat fits on) and that it also interferes with the rear part of the lower wing meeting the fuselage or that the lower wing has excess plastic, which doesn't help with the fit, put you off.

      The Sword Vc and Merlin Seafire go together pretty well.

      Gah, I knew it was too good to be true, but I shall live in hope that one day...

       

      Thanks Simon, it has been pretty merry so far and I am on the 15 year old single malt now so I expect it to improve further henceforward. May yours be as jolly :)
