  1. Yeah, like's already been said.....'that's a quick build?!?'........wow ! They're both great, well done. And as for the back story; I've never heard of this before and so I've managed to get hold of a copy of the book for a squiz. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Gaz
  2. Great workmanship ! It's an interesting looking aircraft alright, worth modelling for that alone. Cheers Gaz
  3. Outstanding ! The weathering and finish it just right for my tastes, and unless that hand is exceptionally small then it gives a good idea of what I've got to look forward to in my stash, It's rather large aye ! Well done Gaz
  4. It's turned out really good aye ! I like the the light dusting you've given it Well done. Gaz
  5. Yup, I agree. One of the reasons I don't even do aircraft in flight. Gaz
  6. That's just brilliant in every way. I love it. I think I'll just quietly meander back to my comfort zone in the Aircraft section and stay over there. Well done. Cheers Gaz
  7. Nice conversion, very well executed. Love the paint finish. And it's a Brawdy kite as well Cheers Gaz
  8. Outstanding. I've got two later model British B-17s i the pipeline and came across pictures of this version during my research a while back.......I think you've absolutely nailed it! A superb build of a pretty rare subject. Love it Cheers Gaz
  9. Sweet build ! I'm no expert on the Onion but she looks mighty fine to me. I did look at getting myself one last year and building it up in the bomber role with pylons/bombs under the outer wings. Too many other projects on the go though. But now that I've seen yours I might have to have another look at it. Well done. Cheers Gaz
  10. Looks brilliant, I can't anything wrong with that at all, love it ! Well done indeed. Cheers Gaz
  11. A typically unglamarous and brutish looking British tank aye........nicely build though. The shovels caught my eye even before I saw the close-up pick. It's the little things. Looks cool, well done. Cheers Gaz
  12. Whoa, I obviously missed this first time around. That's pretty special, and just goes to show how restrained weathering can be quite effective in itself. Excellent skills on show. Well done Cheers Gaz
  13. Really nice job. A lot of work has gone into that and it shows..... and it looks means as well! Cheers Gaz
  14. Hi Ernst Very nice, I like the weathering and your mention of soap is very interesting; I must give it a try. Being new to these tank things, I haven't seen or heard of these before. I'll have to do a bit of reading. Cheers Gaz
  15. I'm not sure I ever saw one of their Landies anything less than super shiny unless their new 18yr old Acting Cpl had taken it accidentally off road Great scene, great build. Love it ! Great comments also. Cheers Gaz
  16. Thanks Pete. Might be time to grab yourself another lit and have a go. A ton of patience and a few rolls of masking tape is all you need. Besides, mud covers all Thanks Stix, much appreciated Thanks Tony Thanks Nurwin. I did think of visiting Bovington last year when we were back in Blighty for couple of weeks. It was too far out of our way unfortunately. As I mentioned above, I've been watching Tank Chats by The Tank Museum on Youtube. They've also put together a series of videos ,that I'm now watching, about the rebuild of the Matilda. I'm finding it very interesting, but I do wish I'd found it earlier. I like to have a bit of understanding about the subject that I'm building. I'm ok with aircraft but I know virtually nothing about tanks it seems Cheers All Gaz
  17. Yes, well that's what we all say in response to the inevitable grilling from SWMBO, you're getting into the groove quite well already Welcome, from another 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 born. Cheers Gaz
  18. Sweet phantoms, and 2 of then in schemes that I've got planned (USAF and Israel). It's going to be a good looking shelf from any distance. Cheers Gaz
  19. Superb, and very colourful. Like has already been said, I too used to ignore these older types for the more 'exciting' ones in grey/green.......My mistake. I think I might have to look at doing something along these lines. Well done ! Cheers Gaz
  20. Definitely a case of less is more with the colours I reckon. I'd normally go for the more colourful and complicated schemes for interest, but I'm really liking this. It certainly shows the modelling skills. Nice one. Cheers Gaz
  21. I'd call that a very successful end to what must have been an 'interesting' at times project. It looks great, well done. Cheers Gaz
  22. Nice ! I really should start building bikes. Good choice on the colour, I used to have a CB750 (white), and a 250 (silver). The white one looked way better (except for the massive fairing it sported). Cheers Gaz
