  1. Brewer, could you give us a heads up here, when you start posting your next build?
  2. Don't hold back now ...hehe ;-) Thanks, I'd like to have a look at these items before hand...
  3. If the La-7, Brewer, which manufacturer? Any thoughts about using after market extras?
  4. I second everyone's sentiments regarding the build/result .... that the 'subject' was produced in the area of 40K merits interest imo. Because of this build I read about the IL2; I now see it as the AK-47 of the sky, along with the T34 on the ground.....it sure as hell did this guy in What's up next, Brewer...?
  5. Yeah, and Pavlov's dog would have drooled all over it....
  6. Enjoying it, Brewer ( Re Tamiya 1/42 IL-2 kit: a storm in a water glass; where I thought I saw it last night, there's no mention of discontinuation today. Hannants wrote back, but only pointed to the current listing that says it's a 'temporary' 1/3 discount. Sorry if it was a bother and thanks again) BTW, have you and Jason L noticed Hannants offers 2 prices: EU (domestic market) and Export (less VAT)? regards Jan
  7. Thx to you both... I've e-mailed Hannants ( http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/TA61113?&pricer=0) now.,..probably no answer till tommorow (going on 6 pm in the UK now) I really appreciate the links too! regards, Jan
  8. Thank you for the quick response Jason L.; thought you might sense my concern. On that, I'll get in touch with the UK kit vendor and ask for a clarification. regards, Jan
  9. A little (?) OT... Hannants in the UK has discounted this model saying it's being discontinued (from £49 to £37/ $76 to $58). It could be they have chosen not to carry this kit any longer; anybody up on new about this from elsewhere? LuckyModel.com have one left at $46 plus $12 p&p to Norway Can anybody possibly give me links to model kit stores online in the US for comparison sake? Thank, Arn
  10. Where can I find your 1/72 build of the Shturmovik, Jason? regards, Jan
  11. Thesis + antithesis => synthesis .... reality, nice and tidy...Thanks.
  12. Wonderful and useful dialog, Jason and Jason Brewer .... with a good start from 'Warhawk' regards, arn PS Brewer, did you 'manipulate' the camo colors from the original rendition?
  13. I was actually looking for something else, when I 'stumbled' on this: http://www.pocketmags.com/viewmagazine.aspx?catid=1034&category=Hobbies+%26+Crafts&subcatid=212&subcategory=Scale+Modelling&title=MIM%3a+Aircraft+Edition&titleid=369&issueid=38225&issuename=015 Military Illustrated Modeller issue 15 (2011) 'Stalin's Arrow' .... the kit in this thread...for those who might be interested?
  14. I second that motion ... but I don't think he does -> he's really pived because you shelved the 109 for this one lol
  15. Hello Jason (II-2 Anorak) A very important distinction. I appreciate you pointing that out, thank you! The 'Kill' numbers are possibly/probably OT as you intimate. Over 40k Shturmoviks makes it an interesting aircraft as is getting to know how it was used. Arn- Jan
