I second everyone's sentiments regarding the build/result .... that the 'subject' was produced in the area of 40K merits interest imo. Because of this build I read about the IL2; I now see it as the AK-47 of the sky, along with the T34 on the ground.....it sure as hell did this guy in What's up next, Brewer...?

Enjoying it, Brewer ( Re Tamiya 1/42 IL-2 kit: a storm in a water glass; where I thought I saw it last night, there's no mention of discontinuation today. Hannants wrote back, but only pointed to the current listing that says it's a 'temporary' 1/3 discount. A little (?) OT... Hannants in the UK has discounted this model saying it's being discontinued (from £49 to £37/ $76 to $58). It could be they have chosen not to carry this kit any longer; anybody up on new about this from elsewhere? LuckyModel.com have one left at $46 plus $12 p&p to Norway Can anybody possibly give me links to model kit stores online in the US for comparison sake? Thank, Arn

Hello Jason (II-2 Anorak) A very important distinction. I appreciate you pointing that out, thank you! The 'Kill' numbers are possibly/probably OT as you intimate. Over 40k Shturmoviks makes it an interesting aircraft as is getting to know how it was used. Arn- Jan
