  1. Academy F-35 is best Lighting II in this scale (and posible most cheap...). But i understand now, why Academy make experiment in complexisivity and scale - i speak about their new USS Missouri and USS Enterprise. In last years make 1/350 (i have their USS Indianapolis and is very nice)battle cruisers and battleships - and now released a USS Missouri in 1/400 ? I was a disappointed, because i hope in Iowa Class in WW 2 config in 1/350, and now released "Old Miss" in strange scale and simplified details (Indianapolis is better). Yup, it is here a Very Fire WW2 config Missouri, but i never saw this kit in my own eyes and don´t know it is a good kit, or not. And when i look on their HP Academy have many strange (too asian) toy-like kits... I many years hope for long nosed F-4 Phantom II (especially F-4E) in 1/48, and nothing, simple - nothing ! Academy re-boxed an Accurate, now Eduard... - but in 1/48 or 1/32 don´t make any real new tool. Yes, have gorgeous (and cheap !) state of art Bell AH-1Z "Viper" in 1/35 - but that´s all, folks !!! Not another Phantom II, not another Hornet (in 1/32 - i desperate need an accurate "Super Hornet" ! Revell is tragic and Trumpeter isn´t too accurate.) But this is a little problem by other traditional scale models companies - Revell, Italeri, Hasegawa, Tamiya - all going to toys or asian specified strange kits and on standard kits simple resigned...
  2. How shades of super metalic (i can use a AK Extreme Metalic) i can use on USAAF fighters and bombers in NMF ? Or - maybe i can combined it with standard metalic (non super metalic) colours as famous Gunze C8 or new Tamiya LP-11. Unfortunatelly - when i build a scale models a two decades and airbrush set i have a minimal one decade, i was still beginner, not expert. I have a few Mustangs (from Eduard, Airfix and 1/32 Revell) - so, what i need ?
  3. I hope in G.W.H. in 1/48 and nice book and decal for Czechoslovak & Czech & Slovak AF - many nice (anti)camouflage options, for Czechoslovak, Czech & Slovat Tiger Meet airplanes... Eduard make a nice "patriotic collection" in both scale (Hind, MiG-21MF, MiG-15, MiG-23) - and "Fulcrum" was last from MiG´s when haven´t their patriotic L.E.. So, i hope in Patriotic L.E. in 1/48.
  4. Hmm, i have in my kit stack an Kitty Hawk Su-34 - and on the box looks very good. Early Flankers in good quality are excellent deal, i hope a KH make nice kit. Personally, i still wait when Zvezda can´t go to Flankers in 1/48, because their 1/72 are nice and accurate, but still not . Minimal twin seater from KH i "desperately" need !
  5. Parts for P-51D/K you have in Chatanooga Cho Cho L.E. - prop and Dallas canopy are included, "spy" F-6 was released later, with new tool fuselage, camera etc… But when you can build fighter-bomber D/K you can, now
  6. But this is a probably far future release. Another new type (when you don't count sub version of Bf 109 & Mustang) in "near future" was "early Merlin Powered Spitfire). I can' t wait for state of art 1/48 Spitfire Mk. V ! So, i think a downscaled Hawk was too far... IMHO - I personaly want a H-75 French air force in BoF only... because Czechoslovaks fighter pilots... Another release can me make cold...as many Bf 109 & Bf 109 variants in last time Tomahawk & Warhawk was for me most attractive (RAF,USAAF, VVS, Free French etc...many colorful camos with sometimes real huge nose arts and shark mouths)
  7. Gentlemens, Fokker Dreidecker is most famous and recognizable airplane from WW1. It is synonymous for "Red Baron" and overall for WW-1 air war. And from WnW was a gorgeous kit, not comparable with old Roden kit... I need minimal two - Verner Voss Happy Face F.I and - naturaly - Red Baron last mount ! Now please SPAD XIII & VII and i' m.happy.
  8. Allison engine Mustang/Apache was boring subject. It' s Attacker/Recon, not Fighter, with limited camos and short operational history.... Now, after release of Eduard state of art, definitive kit is announcement of Bronco a bad joke. I except highest price as Eduard offer (Bronco is expensive) and one version in box. OVERTREES by Eduard was for 10£, weekend furure for 15£. BRONCO was probably the same case as Meng - brutally overpriced. (Their Early P-40 was very expensive kit...) Maybe Bronco make engine and guns... But Ed prepare photo reccon version. (I accepted around 20-30£ for "plastic only" WW II single engine fighter kit. (Exception are new tool kits from Tamiya, because Tamiya and Eduard make state of arts kit of classic WW-2 types. N.T. Tamiya have P.E. parts too - and twenty five years kabuki masks - but not pre-cut - i don' t understand why...)
  9. Eduard announcement in Chatanooga contest a complet new tool 1/48 Curtiss Hawk (P-36 & H-75) family. As last coming a early P-40 "Tomahawk" - and mayebe whole P-40 family. I think a Curtiss Hawk with radial engine was a good news. And yup, in early stage of development is a Wildcat. Curtiss H-75 is very important part of Czech or Czechoslovak history, in Battle of France many Czech airman flying this machines against German invaders. So, i´m impressed with this news !
  10. What ? Another Sabre ? Academy and Hasegawa are still nice. Or this it is a Canadair with long exhaust ?
  11. I hear - but i not now confirmed - a Eduard make a P-51B/C - aaand one - very, very popular US fighter plane, what flying in colors of His Majesty - over Atlantic and North Africa theater…. It is a small, agile plane lookin´ as small cask of whisky with wings… and have name as one popular mark of jeans trousers, when was exported to socialistic Czechoslovakia in Cold War time… I confused it is a real - or rumor only… But i hope it is a true, not rumor
  12. I don' t saw a Mustang on Eduard web for 492,-CZK. In action is for non bfc for -20%,.and -25% for BFC members. What it is a strange pricing ?
  13. But this is a problem with "big game" in scale modelling - wait for P-38 from Tamiya, but when i look on B.G. photos on HS - surface looks - bare... In my opinion - new kits in 1/48 needs a rivets. Yeah, Tamiya is shake n' bake take it easy build, but without rivetings look - little strange. Ed' s Pony have decent riveting on frame and look it decent and realistic.
  14. In Czech is pricing: Tamiya: 480CZK, Airfix : 550CZK and Eduard (lowest price) 676CZK (Stock price is 795CZK). (1USD=23CZK, 1EURO=27CZK and 1GBP=32CZK). But - is a real true shame for Airfix their kit from last year looks side by side comparation with news "Edík" (Little Eddie - nickname for Eduard in CZ) as twenty years old stuff…. Yup, Tamiya and Hasegawa are old, but Airfix is simple obsolete. (Meng i never saw on my eyes, but pricing is same as Eduard´s Chatanooga - around 800CZK). I don´t know why - Airfix car scale Tiffy and Hellcat are gorgeous, but their 1/48 as Spitfire Mk. I or Mustang looks obsolete when you compared with new tool Tamiya BoB Spit or now Ed´s Mustang. (But Airfix 1/72 Wimpy is nice....) But only Eduard have on their WW II fighters decent riveting - when you look on newest Tamiya - P-38 (what is priced much higher as Ed´ s P-51), this surface detail here was little missing. (On 1/32 Tamiya have riveting, but not in smallest scale...)
  15. Ed´s Mustang was probably a definitive "bubble top" Mustang with parts for A N Y "D or K" version. Look at sprues - all weapons (Rocket launchers, HVAR missiles, bombs, tanks, all canopy - with Dallas for "K", all type of propeller, and Eduard was a OvTr program - so - you need a AM decals only.... I can´t wait ! Friend´s have pleease a tip for ultimate AM decal sheet with pin ups on Mustang ?
  16. When US Revell re-released their kits for €U market, i was hope for gorgeous Gato Class submarine. German subs from Revell coming in many re-releasing but Gato was released for €U market before a decade. I was in this time three pieces, but i was all sold (it is a new kit....and was many years in shops....mea culpa !!!) and from this time i still hope for re-release, (and early type with round windows on command turret) - but Gato newer re-released in EU, and now isn´t availiable in US Revell program for €U. Why :( ? It is a very good kit, with excellent fitting, better as German U-boats from Revell Germany....
  17. In most famous W.E.Johns story with it's imaginary "super ace" Biggles was young pilot "Batty" Batson engaged and shot down with another Camel. After emergency landing he died but before he died tell Biggles he was shot down by Camel under false flag with number J...6 (i don' remember). Johns was a ex WW 1 pilot, and probably most of their stories by Biggles was inspired in real stories for example - white Fokker was in real Hermann's Göring mount etc... But what a Camel under false flag ? In this story captured Camel haven't a german insignia, have british roundels - and in real world this was a war crime and pilot of this aircraft can be executed by firing squad. (In another story Biggles himself fly in captured Albatros and beyond test flight over front line he must flight with German Jagdstaffel and he was later shot down by Algy. But in real - was a case when Germans used "beute Camel" with RAF insignia and attacked Britons ? Before time i saw a photo of captured Camel with cross and this is legal and in WW2 Germans test many captured aircraft in Zirkus Rosarius but neither Nazis can't used captured aircraft with USAAF/RAF/Red stars... So... it's Camel under false flag a fantasy of author or real story ? (I hear a story by "Black or Dark Mustang" was engaged a USAAF thunder box over Germany, respective flight near - and in real a one of "Beute" Mustang have not black, but very dark green and yellow belly - but with XXL german cross on side - but this is another war and captured aircraft have adequate insignia...). In Czech Republic was Biggles a cult book - but i don't understand why Biggles, Algy and Ginger haven't wifes, girlfriends or mistresses - but i think it was a child literature, and love romances probably isn't in this time (20.-60. Years of 20th century)suibtable in child (boys) literature.
  18. Hi, i look for a 1/350 Iowa class Battleship - simple a USS Missouri. Tamiya and Monogram (now re-boxed by Revell) are old kits, after modernisation in ´80. I can a WW II - but only one kit is from Very Fire (and Trumpeter in "Wiking scale" 1/200). I never heard about Very Fire and don´t know how accurate and moulding quality is. Is their Missouri good kit ? I´ am a weekend builder and can nice "Old Miss" out of the box. Another variant is a Trumpeter 1/200, but IMHO is a too big - and we know Trumpy/HB how have problem with accuracy... It´s Very Fire Missouri good kit ?
  19. Huh ? All problems are in this short piece of hump ? This can be simple corrected a resin AM parts, no ? It is a little shame, super bug was prepared three years, and can be released without bugs.... but first impressions over open box are (for me)good. Relative small parts count, when isn't here a build issues (who know) - and you can build a really HUGE Supersonic in few days... New plastic looks good and isn' t here surface issues as in revell classic white material Made in Poland...
  20. I look for relative cheap plastic kit, ships are beautiful, but expensive and hard to built(many p.e. wooden decks etc..), when you can a good looking kit... A few years ago i can built a whole WW 2 Japanese fleet, (Japanese ships are beautiful)but when i saw a price tag i forgot it on 1 minute...
  21. Pin up and colorful anti-camos where for me a reason why i was collected USAAF. Luftwaffe is for me a "cemetry art" - too many crosses and dark tones, R.A.F. i like, but was a little boring-only US is great. But very complicated for their NMF... But - gorgeous. Simple gorgeous. And when you have for your personal bible a great american pin up & gil elvgren complet pin up, when you love A.Vargas and your Girlfriend call "My dear Pin up Lady" - you must be a little shocked...It is a little piece of absurdity... And when you look in last USAAF kits - nosearts with Girls isn't presented on boxarts and in decals too Animals and signs are tolerated, but pin ups not. (And you must looking for AM decals... ). I'm little frustrated from this.
  22. It was a english text sticker, in kit from czech distribution. I maybe bought it as curiosity. (No kidding - a pin up camos are really nice - but i two months back sold all 1/72 kits...) I think it is for US market warning.... But it is - strange
  23. Today i saw in my favourit model shop a special/limited of Airfix 1/72 B-17. On box is round sticker and on box are added two NMF B-17. With - pin ups. One is a classic Vargas girl, in light nightdress and second is here a full naked - or with blue panties. Both pin up nose arts are VERY GOOD printed, very very detailed... For me is a B-17 a symbol of USAAF and American life style... Don´t forget - Esquire, Playboy or Penthouse coming from U.S.A.. (Yes, i know, in WW 2 exist a Esquire only - and here was a pin up girls.) American warplane from this time must be - BIG, SHINY and with BIG Pin Up, especialy when it is a bomber. Many airman in WW II was very young, why don´t speak - a "Virgin Mochitos" and they flying, fight, kill and die on Sky over Europe. Many never have a Girlfriend, many have Wife and Baby... They flying with Big Shiny Bombers over Germany or Japan - With Big naked pin up girls painting with full frontal nudity - topless, with bare buttocks - and Very Sexy. When i was a boy, and i live in post - communist era Czechoslovakia a symbol of USA in WW2 for me was a Memphis Belle Bomber, from famous 1991 movie. On one side with a Ginger telephoned with her lover, on other side a really BIG blondie with big - breasts... (t.t.es, b..b.s). And today - i saw on this new L.E. B-17 - a small sticker, with B/W photo and text - This camo isn´t suibtable for person under 21 years !!! YES !!! TWENTY ONE !!! I read this for second, third... - no this isn´t a dream - really !!! I know, when you under 21, you can´t drinking.... in US... But - you now you can´t - in our internet - youtuber - rap and i-net celebrity - who often build it´s glory on big breast a big buttocks - build a 70 years old bomber, flying in WW 2 post-teen Airmens.... I´am shocked ! In my country on end (before fall of Communism) was on three MiGs and one Frogfoot attack Airfplane pain (for very short time) a WW 2 style pin ups.... In MiG´s Topless, one too in negliché, and Anča (Annie) on Su-25 (Never flew with this Nose arts) have big bare butt - in this time, when regime colapsed it was a symbol of rebelion, agains puristic regime, who censored nudity... And now, in 21 century, in England, was really pin up (1cm long) not suibtable for 21 old persons ? YOU KIDDING AIRFIX ?! In 21 years have many people first Kid ! Are in half time of University (2-3 year), and in WW 2 was many of this guys who flew pin ups decorated bombers and fighters - DEAD !!!! In past time i read a memory of one british Lancaster pilot - I was 18, i can flying with twin engined monster in night over Germany and kill peoples -and naturally - be killed - but i can´t drink and drive car ! What is bad on nice young - and naked - girl ? Especially when is she only painted on Airplane - on - after 75year later - printed in decal sheet ? Two years Playboy banned nudity on it´s magazine -and now are nudity back - because Playboy without nudity isn´t playboy and topless or naked girl isn´t porno... AIRFIX - Please - removed a text from box of L.E. B-17... it is a SHAME ! BIG SHAME !!!! Be normal !
  24. Hmm, this ships don't exist as injection plastic kit. I hope in Trumpeter/Hobby Boss. Thank you.
