  1. Hm, but it is a better as "good old Tamiya" ? Tamiya was still sold for very reasoneable price tag, and Revell was more expensive.... For me is Tamiya´s Beau a really shake n´ bake build - engines nacelles, hatches, main gear etc - all - click n´ clack. Maybe is little "poor" in surface details, but very very buildable kit.
  2. Camel is classic. And why we can have any year another Spit, Mess or Pony - why not about a decade new Camel ? Old is nice, but new was be superior. Now Ed´ re-released their Hanriot on Reggia Aeronautica anti-camo PP L.E. and it is still a nice kit. Fro new i appologized new kit of quality 1/32 Camel from WnW - in quarter scale only.
  3. Hmmm, this Italeri plastic was released short after "Velvet Revolution" by Bilek(with Desert storm campaign decals), former distributor of Italeri for Czech in pladtic bag. I have it many years back and sold it for few bucks... Today it is a really legacy kit of legacy Hornet. But is very popular as re-box, Revell have it in their own boxes too...(in history, im not dure what is on newest box). Academy Hornet is better choice for Legacy Hornet. Bilek launched in their bags (really bag with paper sleeve - as old Frog)a Su-34. Yup, it is old kit but still looks more as "Fulback" then newest HB with strange shaped "beak". Maybe later ?
  4. OMG what it is ? I was a really concerned when companies as das Werk or Miniart make this "What if" machines... Not another my cup of coffe .
  5. After two years a new 1/32 from Tamiya and it is Another re-box of "D" Stang No P-51B or P-38 in 1/32 or cannon Corsairs(F-4U-4 and up) I´m not sure, can be this an best seller ? I think - not.
  6. I don´t know why KP (AZ) re-box old Italeri mould.... Revell was better (but not great...) and most accurate representation of "C" (CZAF) version.... And in history was Italeri re-packed with another czech company - Bilek.
  7. Niiice - new tool T-34 (at last !) and Pzkpfw IV with interior ! I can bought an Border, but i wait for Miniart offer. Miniart have nice kits !
  8. Eduard Mk. I was in Weekend edition a cheap alternative to relative expensive Tamiya (but yup, it is a little as ProfiPack), with nicest surface details (Tamiya is nice, but bare without rivets) and more detailed to early version and sub-version. (And with more colourful camos and better decals choice). I bought Tamiya, because i love a Spit and Tamiya, but Eduard was more interesting option... - and i hope in accurate Mk. II, especially first cannon Spit Mk. IIb... (And naturally Czechoslovakian Squadron L.E.).
  9. Zwilling was huuge aircraft in 1/72, in quarter scale was big beast - and in 1/32 have gigantic wingspan. I lookin´ for Hasegawa Zwilling in 1/72, but their pricing was awful... So i wait for ICM 1/48 kit. I don´t think a Revell realised their He-111 as Zwilling - yup, they can make a few new parts - maybe in future as L.E. ? It is visual attractive and unusual aircraft, but still a glider tug with really big wingspan. Maybe exist a conversion set.... I don´t know...
  10. I was sceptic to scaled up Hellcat-minimal in near future. New Bf 108 "Tajfun" was bought project (as wrote Mr. Šulc in Eduard Info 1/2020), not their own. First & Last own mould in 1/32 is "Emil´s Family"first released ago a decade... It´is a pity - when Eduard scaled up Hellcat, Bf 109 Friedrich Gustav & Kurfürst , Spit Mk. VIII & IX, Butcher birds and naturally - Mustang - i bought all in many pieces. Yup, excellent Mustang and late Merlin Spit make Tamiya, but are expensive, Revell Mk. IX is cheap but Tamiya is most beautiful, Mustang exist in D-5 early only... Best kits (on my eyes) in my eyes are Bf 109G-6 (universal and cheap kit) and G-10 - but this is only "Erla" version. Maybe, when was "Tajfun" a best seller, maybe later Eduard going to their own 1/32... Big scale kits are best for building :)
  11. On February coming exterior & interior P.E., canopy mask & resin wheels. It' s on their new eduard.online webpage.
  12. Car scale Tiffies & Hellcat have gorgeous surface details - no doubt ! (Tiffies i have, Hellcat now not, but is in my sight...) And when i know a Airfix can make nice kit (and because i don´t understand why make a kit with flaws as is new Fresco.) For me have Airfix nice kits (Flying Fortress, Lancaster - especialy with Hercules engine, Swordfish, Whitley, VICTOR , Meteor F.8 and Hurricane Mk. I 1/48). And Fresco is relative important type - ´Nam, Mid East conflict, Warsaw pact AF...). I still hope was made in small scale can be later enlarged to quarter scale
  13. Because it is a Czech company and i´m proud a small company from poorest part Czech Republic play extraleague in aircraft kits ? And was best West European plastic kit producer ? Look at Heller, Revell, Italeri... All going to hell, resigned to really scale modeling and transformed to toy company, with decals version or (sub)version only.... Ok, i can compare with Arma Hobby, too small company... with excellent small scale kits ! And - Eduard make MiG´s, no ? In former Czechoslovakia are MiGs very popular subject - and discussion about new Airfix Fresco on CZ model discussions is very excited. I was a Airfix fan, when was their single engine WW I fighters cheapest (around 5 GBP)i buy it by dozens... Airfix P-51D i have 8x . But when is price low, you can ignore a little problems with quality.(All my Mustags kit from first batch have error in strutter shaft). But MiG-17 haven´t price tag of 5 GBP. Very beautiful kit of MiG make too Modelsvit - not only Eduard... and i don´t understand, why you have expensive LIDAR scan, when you have references & feedback - so why you can release with all this modern options - another BAD kit of Fresco ? PS: I don´t know a Eduard Mustang have long main legs... I saw many finished Mustangs from Eduard and any critique on long legs isn´t here. Mustang have few mistakes... Part with guns, or very carefulness build of main gear shaft.... But - it is a best (Definitive) Quarter scale Mustang kit on market. Look at Bronco.... Both moulds from 2019. Incomparable... Ughh...
  14. It' s shame when Airfix made new tool "Fresco", with 3D scan and have feedback from modellers - but make it with many issues. It' s 2020 not 1990... A kit isn' t cheap and MiG 17 have a potential... But when it have a wrong wing profile, hot seat from MiG-15 and awful surface details... it is a real shame. Compare new "Fresco" from Airfix with new "Fishbed" from Eduard... Both are MiGs in 1/72, new tool from 2020... I don' t understand why Airfix release this today. When was un-accurate MiG' s kits from cold war era - ok they haven't reference . But today we have reference, real aircrafts... The "Fresh Fresco" looks as from 1990... not 2020.Sadly
  15. Revell have an Gr.1 in 1/48 ? I know a Gr.4 and German IDS. I think a Revell never released their new 1/48 Tornado as Gr.1.
  16. I think a Eduard make most detailed Mk. I ever… After War config, BoF config, BoB config…. And initial L.E. was a after release as be Chatanooga Cho-Cho…. probably another different (sub)version which was released later (In E-Day 2019 was released first Mustang P-51D-5 Filetless - but in Chatanooga was Mustang with fin ( is in L.E. Royal Class) - officialy non limited P.P. with fin version Mustang isn´t released yet. (Chatanooga and R.C are L.E.). Probably first after relesed box was in the same style . Griffon powered Spit probably haven´t big bussiness potential… Do you think - on home market you can sold many pieces - Czech Republic is model kit superpower and probably coming another "Naši se vracejí" (Our boys going home")L..E. with big decal sheet for Czechoslovakian Spitfires. And Mk. IX was most numerous Spitfire and Mk. I is most famous version - because BoB… In near future coming with high probability Mk.V - super camos offer and later Hurricane and P-40 respective P-36 or Hawk.… Because Eduard make all Bf 109 from Emil to Kürfurst - maybe in very late future make Griffon Spit. But in last year released Griffon powered Airfix, no ? And then have a whole range or G.P.S. (without Mk. XXI) - but offer Korean War Seafire Mk. 47, Mk. 22 and WW II period Mk. XII and XIV....
  17. Z-37 ISN´T RE-BOX - this is a BRAND NEW kit from their own mould. In former Czechoslovakia is "Čmelák" very popular - yup - legendary - aircraft. Every know it from it´s low flying over big lanes of fields in time of socialism and - is a movie hero in CULT czech commedy (nominated to Oscar and directed by Oscar Winner Jiří Menzel) "My sweet little village" and another movie Blockbuster from the same and most popular screenwriter duo Svěrák - Smoljak. Zdeněk Svěrák himself is screenwriter, actor and father of another Czech Oscar Winner Jan Svěrák - and both make WW II movie "Dark Blue World" - story of Czechoslovakian Airmen in R.A.F.... And with Eduard´s sense to humor we can wait many funny with their own Z-37 model kit ! This is small, yellow but here very popular and cult airplane ! (Ideal for kids modeller - no guns, no bombs, just many yellow coat !) And Dauntless & Avenger from Hasegawa was in last months of 2019 re-boxed by one company from Poland (i forgot their name.) And MiG-19 "Farmer" is probably L.E. in style of re-boxed Floggers over Czechoslovakia. (All re-boxed Trumpy).
  18. From Eduard Info 1/2020 1/48 Bf 109G-10 "Erla" FW-190A-6 P-51D-10 P-51D "Pacific" Spitfire Mk. I Lysander (ex-Gavia) Morane Sauliner N (re-edition) F-6D "Photo Reccon Mustang" 1/72 MiG- 21 PFM MiG-21PF Fokker D.VII (Alb.) 19. Hmmm :( A only quarter scale new is - Sabre ?! Academy and Hasegawa offer are still nice... and relative cheap... But i hope in attractive R.A.F./ Italian/Yugoslavian marking as are in 1/72 kit... No "car scale" aircraft.... No new 1/48 B-17, B-24, Lancaster... No 1/72 B-one, O/400, or Halifax and 1/72 B-29 Superfortress/Washington/Tu-4... Beaufort are great, but is in small scale :/ Spit Mk. Vc - good choice, but too in small scale. Concorde prototype is interesing, but probably a only decal version ? I think a traditional european kits producers are "in clinic dead" and great news coming from Asia and Middle Europe & Eastern Europe... Huh- Cromwell - nice... but Tamiya offer is shake and bake kit for few bucks... For me - is still MUST BUY a Vulcan - but there was announced in October :(
  20. Hmm, nice work of this old Eduard Tempest :)
  21. Horray - GATO class submarine re-issue ! Gentlemens, are Revell Beau better as Tamiya, or not ? In CZ is relative expensive.... I built TAMIYA when was brand new and was a shake and bake and click n´ clack build. But Revell is newest - and i hope in 68sqd. marking
  22. I was (a still) fascinated when - on Western run on politicall corectness - and Japan is another side of coin. Here was banned a advertising with sexy girls in bikini - because is too sexy (huh ?) and in Japan pull manga girl anything. Here was problem with girl with beer (too sexy) and Japan and Japanese have still a adolescence :) Manga schoolgirl here and there.... When i look on japanese model shops - a normal (for us normal) kits are off - and still here a Gundam robots and manga manga manga sexy teen girl in many form and costumes....and Hasegawa run on this wave. Though i love a Playmate and Pin up aesthetics - i never (and i study it long time) understand a really crazy fascination of "alien form" of femimininity in Japan. Face of teen years girl with non realistic facial features and sexy curves of porn star.... As manga girl don´t look any (without plastic surgeon work) any girl on the world.... And despite that i really hate an anti-sexism theater and political corectness - a Japanese sexism pop culture i don´t understand too :/ I was shocked, when Hasegawa now add Manga girls on many kits. A nose art pin up girl is nice (on my taste :) ) but 85% of future production (with Manga/Anime) is without my understanding :( In Czech is very popular a termine "TamiGawa" (for excellent kits). Tamiya still run on "normal kits wave" but Hasegawa really can produced a old tools with printed/resin Manga Schoolgirls ? :( Last really new tool was Emily a two years back no ? And personally i prefer a Eduard re-box with their addon and thin decals before Hasegawa bare plastic with thick decals.... I don´t hope a Hasegawa make a real new tool kit, i long awaited an new Boeing B-29 "Superfortress" - or 1/32 Hurricane...And when we have from Hasegawa ? Manga girls ! Huh ! (But resin Nose Arts is good idea, but with first coming it (with excellent quality) a South Korean based company Legend (a decade ago - make an Memphis Belle girl, a one Vargas´ artwork inspired "ginger" from Lanc, California Cuttie girl with towel and Girl in bathtub - all from nose arts.). In Hasegawa offer is interest it is a mainstream and traditional company. I know only Masterbox when released a girls (naturally - not manga) figurines (for few coins and relative good quality...)
  23. This can´t be a Germany 40th. years era technology - looks it as X-37 secret shuttle what was tested by USAF - and when this stuff really exist - a aliens must help it Nazis with it ! Looks very very modern. I must have it - to company of Haunebu U.F.O.
