But Zvezda make new kits in good quality and have good price policy... So is strange, they re-box of vintage DML and don´t make a new tool Shilka. Meng is relative expensive, and new tool Shilka from Zvezda i probably bought, but outdated DML kit isn´t my choice... But maybe isn´t Shilka a popular subject for new tool kit...

1/32 - MRCA Tornado by Italeri - GR.4, ECR & IDS released
AlCZ replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
This is strange approach. Italeri is one of traditional EU companies, but not too agile (and this is typic for all traditional companies) as more aggresive and innovative competetiors from Asia... (Or former East Block). And need money. Your money. When released long awaited Tornado - you must bought it from Italeri, because money must go in to cash of Italeri. Not Revell ! When you can a really new tool kits from Italeri, you must bought their kits... In other approach you can awaited a re-box of re-box only... And Tornado is probably very popular in EU market. Both re-box of Revell quarter scale Tonkas in Eduard re-box was sold out very quickly ! And Gr.4 was never released after Italeri in big scale. I don´t know what so popular is bigs scale in USA. F-22 Raptor in big scale still isn´t released, F-15 family is still from old mould of Tamiya, F-16 exist as non-actual kit of Tamiya, Academy and very old Hasegawa... Jets (and twin engined jets extra) isn´t cheap. (I have only big scale jet a Super Hornet from Revell - but when i read a reviews, i not sure, when i build it in my life... (And i bought it as "weekend project - few parts, big scale....)... My dream is IAF F-15 in 1/32.... as complete kit, not as conversion... And F-22. -
I don´t understand of this choice. DML Shilka is kit from cold war era, and today is on market Panda and Meng.... Zvezda make nevest russian AFV kits for good money, and now released this vintage kit ? Strange :(

In Tamiya Model Magazine Facebook is this: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=403120827319227&set=pcb.10158224606299821&__cft__[0]=AZUmBED5GaPIGJxsj12_QN-SlnB1bSnvZJUviVwXDG17XkpO6aUdKNly0dPN4Ks4tm83DgWyY1eLm7RyyWMCPsm5D6pQDQgkndmWd3lk2_4glEKfnquTuoiTrTM2FbxVq4SzGaZVh2PeOHF3U83UzHXI3BLnJSZVCG_K3Sf1pwPrEFJ5HrVYUO6k-XD9FI7uiXc&__tn__=*bH-R An Bf 109G-6 in 1/32 ! And when it is on Tamiya Model Magazine - it is a probably long awaited kit by Tamiya himself not ? (But in comment is a speculation about Zoukei-Mura, but i think a Tamiya have Gustav in 1/72 & 1/48, so 1/32 is logical upgrade I hope it is a true ! Yup, we have Revell (for few bucks, but Tamiya is Tamiya and i see on picture a Wgr -21 rocket launcher, gun pods with guns... completed engine... Shake n´bake... And "Gustav" is classic fighter a most popular version with many colourful camos (not only III. Reich).,, And when Tamiya really released a G... A "Kurfürst" was good choice for another box... (And in Spit and Mustang was parts for early/late config, so i hope in Galland Haube, and high wooden tail... Coming under X-max tree ?

Sniff - and P-38J still not released/announced :(
-
Wooow, nice - but - when i can this version, i must pre-order kit and this in Russia :( ? (And do you know - a taxes....)
-
Hmm, on pic i see a parts was probably prepared to futher versions and subversions, and the conversion set with metal guns look very nice, so i don´t understand why Zvezda don´t make in future a gunship version out of the box ? Only difference are cannons (and sensors), not ? (I don´t think a make a complet new interior with consoles of fire control, in this case i´m don´t optimist.... (But maybe i bought a conversion set, looks really good). And i think a gunship is really popular... But still i go on it in cargo version, it is legendary aircraft and i never have it in stash, because all kits are vintage...

I´m in many sources read, a first operational flight with "Fridrich" was in last phase of BoB. Bf 109F is most beautiful version of one-hundred-nine - and i can build a one "early" - it´s this early operational flights in last phase of BoB documented on photography and make any company a decals for "Fridrich in BoB ?" (Yup, and i can build 1/48, so i go into Eduard offer).
-
Do you know I´m Spitfire fan - i have both - Tamiya and Eduard - Merlin powered Spits & Mustangs are my favourite aircraft. And in time i build both (Tam & Ed too). Both kits are nice. I have in stash a old tool Tamiya - new tool brother and Little Eddie have more complicated build, because have more detailed pits... Only in my eyes looks Little Eddie better, because rivets, this is all. And yes, i love Tamiya kits, for me is Tamiya synonymum for "shake & bake" build.

I understand - warbirds must be in perfect condition as it is WW II fighter, or f.e. veteran car. But for scale modeling is more relevant photos of operational machine from wartime with all "war wearing scratches". Because we build a operational aircrafts and not museal machines or warbirds, no ? Restored aircraft are ideal when you make a moulds a research in project, but not for weathering. And piece to piece it is on will of owner, what he have their aircraft restorated. (F.E. - rivets on Mustang wing, as i write above).

Hmm. Riveting is part of "Czech school or Czech model style". When you look on czech discussion first was - "Have you blueprints for rivets ? And when modeller (Many of them were Telford's Champion's) ignored rivets was under heavy critic... Top build kit MUST have rivets. I'm not top modeller, only "box collector" but i must say - with riveting looks model better... but when you look on Eduard P-51D so have fine rivets on fuselage, but on wings not - because was in real putted (but Tamiya 1/32 have rivets on wing.) An in big airplanes (as Flying Fortress or Catalina) looks surface without riveting bare... so a HK Fortress have rivets and Revell still nice Big Black Cat (PBY)have riveting a 25 years ago... and vintage many kits looks still dam good and more realistic with over surface riveting. In last time was in czech hard critised a Mi-24 from Zvezda - because haven' t riveting - so this is true - real Hind was heavy riveted. And we can polemised with rivets, but open guns barrels and exhausts may be standard in 2020... And patine too looks better in riveted model... I don' t speak about 1/72 WW2 fighters but in 1/48 (and 1/32)kit without riveting looks - as child toy. And when compared a 1/32 Spits from Revell - Mk.I (II)& Mk. IX with Eduard (and Pony was the same problem) quarter scale fighters from Ed was more detailed as Big scale kits from Revell. I realy like a car scale Tiffies (have both !) & Hellcat with (stitched/patched) surface details - and i was impresed a WnW Lancaster with photo-realistic surface details made by me a Pavlov reflex ! Is sad a WnW is gone and big scale Lanc probably never flying on shelves... And Spit on picture is nice - but it is a current time warbird after restoration - and not heavy weathered operation aircraft - without any patine... but you can see a over surface rivets in tail section and on frame.... On war pics war Spits heavy weathered with masive oil leaks.. So - warbird in top quality haven' t a relevance... (So few pages back everybody give here a pics of "Prague Spit" from National Technical Museum in Prague and demonstrated why havent ed kit a hump... But Prague Spit was originaly machine after crash and have warped nose...Yup, it is a original WW,2 Spit but after crash... And any warbirds - as Mustangs - every have clear (putted) wing and many not... and Mustang in operational service probably isn' t high polished chrome bird with miror shine surface ! But still - on frame are rivets (as have Eduard) in all cases... It is too in style not ? When you prefered "toy like or brand new look" or artistic interpretation of reality... And i can must see i like a british more "hobby" or "relax" work. In Czech isn't scale modeling a hobby - it is a type of religion.... Rivets, weathering, after market...(Maybe because many modellers who presents their kits are a really Masters).UK is military and nuke superpower, Czech Republic was superpower in Scale modeling

Not the first time I've seen you getting all defensive over Eduard, by the way. Could you perhaps accept that others have a different point of view about them? I love Eduard and i´m very proud on it ! I like their surface details, open exhausts and guns, RIVETING, broad choice of markings... , colours P.E. , resins and pre-cut masks... and all in one box. When i compared a new tool Tamiya Mk. I and Eduard Mk. I... hmmmm... Tamiya is beyond Eduard... (No open exhausts, no RIVETS, fat decals and only two aircrafts, no flat top hood, no twin bladed wooden prop, no extra fuselage for very early version... And look as Eduard made ! In summer Mk. I, in October Mk. II and next year Mk. V ! And Tamiya ? Made Mk. I late -and nothing else ! Bf 106G-6 have in early version, Eduard have from F-to - G with "bulged compressor" ... I a wait P-38J...and where is ? So, i like Eduard. Maybe made only few types - but in superb quality and in whole coverage of variants and (sub)variants. With extra parts !

LoL... Vulcan is beautiful aircraft & i awaited 1/72 Falkland War variant... But 1/48 was enormous big...I can' t see a bill for quarter scale Vulcan mould. B-52 is most important type and after (near) 70 from maiden flight still don' t exist 1/48 long run kit (HpH is L E w. Gigantic price tag...) IMHO Airfix never released a quarter scale Vulcan (too expensive, too big and with one combat mission). Any WW 2 R.A.F. Heavy bomber was better choice (or B-24 )... 1/72 Vulcan is accetable in size & price, but Quarter scale ? You need a Manor for gigantic models of this size.
-
OMG, Eduard make best Spitfire Mk. I in quarter scale (and probably best kit of this version in any scale) - and british modellers found one and hundred errors and discuss about nitpicking... This is crazy ! Sorry, but who make an accurate REAL early (without armor) Spitfire Mk. I after Eduard ? Nobody (maybe give in parts twin bladed prop and flat top hood and voilá - early spit is completed... I look on my new tool Tamiya, and here have a lever on box with round cover or only this box - this a very disscused aparature ? This must make every modeller in five minutes from plastic profile...

I know discussions about "pure" camo on JXoE "Night Reaper" - black or semi-black... So, i can build both options I planned it, with Arma´s small scalle Hurri, but never bought it - and now i wait for quarter scale kit... Night Reaper have a Czech decals maker too, but when you have it in box you can´t spend any money... simple, dear Watson... (Escpecially, when you can built it double). When i was a Kid, i read a Robert Darlington "Kut´s " Son in Law book "Night Hawk" and build their Hurri from Směr kit (ex Heller ?). But this is a 25 years ago . And, yup, i wait for nice Hurri kit from Ed´, but i think a Arma make it in competition quality, because their small scale kits looks gorgeous ! So, i´m happy a Arma made an Mk. IIC soon... I can hope a new quarter scale Hurri landing under X-mas tree this year ?
-
Please, give to kit an "Czech Night Hawk" , top scored Czechoslovakian ace Karel "Kut" Kuttelwascher "the Night Reaper" marking option... And i can' t look for Old Hasegawa...
-
I think a KP have Italeri kit from Bílek - they re-boxed many Italeri kits- and Hind is one from this. But Zvezda and HobbyBoss are better choice.

WHAT ?! WHY POLISH ? CZECH REPUBLIC (or FORMER CZECHOSLOVAKIA) IS IN POLAND ?!!!! We are NOT Polish ! Yup, one part of Warszawa called Praga, but Praga in Warszawa isn´t our "Hundred towers Mommy" Prague or Praha... And in early 10th. century wrote a merchant Ibrahim Ibn Jacob "Prague - Frága - is city made from stone and lime over river..." Czech state is here thousand years, Praha (Prague) is here thousand years.... and in Czech really don´t speak POLISH !!!!! Yes, we have similiar history (some-times) with Poland, Czech kings married with Polish princess and on the throne was a Jagello - Lithuanian-Polish dynasty.... BUT WE DON´T ARE POLISH !!!! WE ARE CZECH ! AND WE ARE IN MID - EUROPE - NOT IN EASTERN ! OMG !!!!! Many Czechoslovak airmans falling for King and Country and you wrote - ANY POLISH SPEAKERS !!!? But yes - second high rated Czechoslovak ace Josef František flying with polish sqd. but - this is another story... (And was 100% CZECH). This project is a little madness... In communistic Czechoslovakia in sixties naturally haven´t an original Wellington - so this make from Li-2.... but in scale modelling it is a little "kinky".... But fun ! And i never saw an conversion from Dakota to Wimpy in scale modelling... Unfortunatelly - original aircraft never was not preserved to museum.... :( Good Luck :)

Hi ! I love a Euro Truck Simulator 2, and i can build a my favourite trucks. Unfortunatelly all were twin axles only, so i can´t build a three axle or five axle heavy haulage out of the box (and on conversion i´m not good builder). All EU Trucks make a Italeri. But have many versions and subversions and i´m not sure what is what.... I can newest (current) types. Scania S - im not sure - it is this: https://www.italeri.com/en/product/2632/7/35 This is a Scania S or Scania S is biggest type ? Or it this a current Scania ? Or - maybe i can´t need a type S (looks a italeri havent S in offer) but current Scania with light under windshield https://www.scania.com/group/en/home/products-and-services/trucks/r-series.html Or all Italeri Scania R-type is old generation and current haven´t in offer ? And Volvo FH 16 is current version or not ? I saw a only "Wiking" https://www.italeri.com/en/product/2666/7/35 and this is old type, not ? Actros MP 4 is with highly probability current (he is recognised with "hockey stick lights". I like US trucks too, but all was old kits... and haven´t high cab sleepers :/ Revell few years back re-packed a Lonestar...but today isn´t in offer :(

Hitler´s personal aircraft after taking power (election campaing)
AlCZ replied to AlCZ's topic in Aircraft Interwar
Thank you ! -
In many non fiction movies is saying a Hitler was first politican whey used airplane in their election campaign (in prezidental election and later in election to Bundestag). But on movies are Hitler´s famous Ju-52 Immelman II D-2600 f.e. (III. reich flag with swastika and Lufthansa Marking) but i presumed it is after taking power, when was Hitler a Reichskanzler and Führer. But - what looks their aircraft in election campaing ? And Hitler was rich man, because Mein Kampf was bestseller in times after taking power, but Ju-52 was in this time a state of art aircraft, and i think is very expensive... (Yes, i know a Nazis have many rich sponsors). But used Hitler in election campaign really a "Tante Ju" or small "bussines plane" ? (In germany exist many light bussines types as He-70, Junkers F-13 or G-23... and what marking have ? I don´t think a after taking power, in Weimar republic times (after was Feldmarschall von Hindenburg election a president) have Lufthansa Aircraft on tail nazis flag with swastika... So, what aircraft Hitler really used in election campaign ? I think he have small Junkers F-13 (this is a bussiness jet/private airplane) and not "Tante Ju" - this is as today private person used a Boeing 737 or Airbus 319.... and not Learjet... And i know, few very rich peoples or rock bands used a their personal Jumbo jet too.... (Iron Maiden), but this isn´t a standard personal aircraft. And when Hitler flies on small towns but with power electoriat really he use a big Tante Ju ? I think he have a F.13... or G.23. It is true ?

OK, thank you, so i ignored this. Probably have new instrument board with LCD, but demonstrator aircraft isn´t good choice for me...
