  1. Few year back Academy re-relased their B-17G as "Nose Art" re-box and here was three OD "G" (and one half OD and Bare Metal - Little Miss Mischief the same as is in Revell).
  2. Ohhh, long live the Political Correctness. Where are a sexy pin up noseart ? Two absolute boring camouflage scheme :/ On US Bomber from WW II MUST BE a BIG TITS GAL But i know, we live in strange time when Playboy banned their iconic Playmates, so why giving a pin up to scale kits :/ ? I can back to eightees ! Sniff
  3. I like this modern fighter bomber but nose part of prepared kit looks awful... Another "chinese quality kit" made in Trumpeter/HobbyBoss I hope from more accurate kit from another company :/
  4. In 1/32 you have many options - Hurricanes, early Merlin Spitfires, Griffon Spitfires, RAF medium Bombers, Soviet airplanes (Lavochkins, Yak 1 & 9, Petlyakov Pe-2)new and accurate Wildcat, Defiant (!!!), Tiffy (both - Revell kit is obsolete), Beaufighters etc..etc...
  5. Why Airfix don´t make a 1/32 ? In this scale is still a big potential, much more as in 1/24. And most main types absented here.
  6. I think a British modelers really can a Airfix go to bankrupt... Wake up Gentlemans ! 1/72 B-24J - against hi-tech and excellent Hasegawa kit ? Hasegawa have full interior, nice surface details with rivets - i really don't understand why make another Liberator ? De Havilland Mosquito in quarter scale - Best kit maker on the world is still a Tamia. Their quarter scale Mossie is shake and bake kit - a for few coins (in Czech cost as Airfix Hurricane/Spitfire (around 20GBP/650CZK) and Tamiya is still very nice kit , with open nose guns, bomb bay and nice cockpit with all avionics.... New tool Mossie was probably have price tag over 100% higher. Look on Revell and their "bid" on new tool Mossie in quarter scale (B.IV) as fast bomber version.... Where is Revell kit (Out of Production) and Tamiya is a bestseller - notwithstanding is "adult" (have 19 years...). When i can bought a Me-262 and have choice between HobbyBoss Schwalbe and Tamiya i go to Tamiya because Tamiya is for me a Rolls Royce in kit modeling (HobbyBoss was cheapest and have few details (radio compartment) as Tamiya not, but Tamiya is Tamiya. ¨ Only very important type, what have bad representation on the market in small scale - is on my eyes Grumman TBD "Avenger"/"Tarpon". Academy is old and ugly, and Hasegawa was overpriced with no interior details. And i not understand why Airfix don't release a very attractive lookin' Seafire Mk. 47 in small scale (downscaled quarter scale) kit used in combat over Korean Peninsula.... This is most attractive piston engine fighter with counter prop... Mk.22 have, why not Seafire Mk.47 ? :/
  7. TIGER II is my favorite Panzer. The 505th Heavy Tank Regiment with charging "Ritter" emblem ? No waaaay I must have it ! (And i have in my stack four DML )
  8. This is still a Tamiya make, a Eduard make a..... This is a logic when growing new modelers generation (kits for Kids) but you haven't it ! Scale modeling is hobby for adults - a long time ! When you have a hi-quality kits of main types, another must be MOST better.
  9. 1/72 P-47 ? Revell and Tamiya are bad ?! Do you think a Airfix make better T-bolt as Tamiya ? This is a good joke And "B" is really a bestseller :D What is bad on Revell Panavia Tornado ? Tempest was in time downscaled by Eduard. Hawker Hunter make Revell too, not ? Eurofighter make Revell and Hasegawa, really we need another ? I think a better choice is making a British types.... As: Avro Manchester (My dream) Bristol Bulldog Blackburn Shark Fairey Albacore Avro Vulcan Handley Page Heyford H-P 0/400 Fairey Battle
  10. Halellujah ! My prayers are answered ! God Bless Kinetic ! C-17 in 1/72 !!!!! Woo hoo !
  11. Wow ! This is a nice "Kot Majowy" ! And from old short run ! Dobra praca !
  12. And A-10C have updated cockpit to - with new LCD and with new flight stick from F-16...
  13. I wait a price around 50Ł not 75Ł... I love a Tamiya kits, but when haven´t open wing mechaninisation (Flaps & Slots) i (probably) can´t pay this high price. I have a Foxhound too (and Kinetic Sea Flanker) and i understand why Tamiya (for me a Technology leader) haven´t Missiles from one piece... Yup, AML prepare Super Tomcat, not "A", but i think a "A" version coming soon and when price was the same, why bought Tamiya ? Multiparts Missiles and closed wing.... noo, too expensive. (And Tamiya can make all open - Mustang, Spitfire and Mosquito in 1/32 have open hatches, why not F-14 ?)
  14. No. I prepare a traditional Scottish dinner - Beefsteak with French Steakhouse Fries and Tartar sauce... Specialty from LochNess.
  15. I wrote it bad - Mea culpa, Gentlemans. I think - first time - an technological advance. On car scale Tiffy Airfix demonstrate he have it - because i don´t understand why demonstrate it at gigantic scale only and in smallest scale not ?!
  16. "Viermotorige" can´t be too atractive when in Royal Scale (1/48) we have still a forty years old kits from Revell(B-17F), Monogram (B17G, B-24D/J) & B-29 and Tamiya (Lancaster). Last heavy bomber in quarter scale was He-177 "Greif" released a many years back by MpM... We need a quarter scale Heavies not small scale.
  17. It´s here a problem - from my point of view. Airfix is now a overprized. And when i compared a Eduard FW-190A and Airfix FW-190.... Airfix haven´t chance. (Compared between plastic parts (OverTrees/Weekend). And now released Ed´s Spitfire Mk. IX ? against any new tool from Airfix ? in small This isn´t any league - this is another Galaxy Airfix quarter scale kits looks in comparating with Eduard´s Mk IX/VIII/XVI or Gustav v.2016 as toys.... No riveting, no open exhaust pipes - Airfix news in 2016 looks as from 1996. And this isn´t only when you comparable Airfix with Eduard (I´am Patrion and Ed´s Fanboy) - compared an AMK L-29 in small scale with Airfix kits in small scale. Compared AMK "Foxhound" or Kinetic Sea Flanker with Airfix quarter scale.... Airfix make kits a 70years and small, new, agile companies from Middle Europe and Asia beats it in "First Round" ! Why (Autocensored) make ANOTHER B-17 in SMALL SCALE ?! We have Academy, we have Revell - Why we need ANOTHER Flying Fortress in 1/72 ?! Why not make it in quarter scale ?! When Airfix few years back released a Lancaster - I (a BIG BRITHOPHIL) say - wohoo - another Lanc, sooo boring (I have in this time a 6xLancaster from Hawa and Revell - and really i don´t buy another Lancaster.... Yes, a small scale Hawker Typhoon, car scale Tiffy are nice kits... and probably a Defiant and Meteor (But i DON´T UNDERSTAND WHY AREN´T in Meteor F.8 as Decal option Korean War bird... This is a Warbird from Korea and haven´t Korea in decals ?! YOU CRAZY AIRFIX ?!!! ) Many People pleased for METAL WING Hurricane in 1/72. Hasegawa is long time discontinued.... And Airfix ? Released Airfix an METAL WING HURRICANE ? NOT !) And few new tools from Airfix (YUP - the same types who relased Ed) are from Airfix a parody ! Bf-109G-6 with "saddle bulges" - WTF ? Spitfire Mk. IXc (in ONE VERSION !!!! "C"wing only !!! and in EARLY config with bad bulges over whell wells) - NO INTERIOR ! Ugly panelage !!!! MiG-15 - this is a realy a joke from HORNBY/AIRFIX !!!! New tool MiG-15 what looks as kit from 1956 !!! Compared it with "candy box" Hobby Boss - and with Ed´s - no.... this is a little unfair...Or Revell´s Shackelton vs. Airfix Shackelton - Revell looks as new kit, Airfix not... THREE MOST ICONIC FIGHTER OF THEIR TIMES - and AIRFIX CAN´T MAKE IT IN QUALITY FROM 21th. CENTURY. This is the End.... hold you breath and count to ten.... This is an AIRFIX FALL.... Unfortunatelly. Airfix ignored competetior, Airfix ignored technology, Airfix ignored Reality - with more agile Companies - it still (WHY ?) live in history and haven chance.... Airfix go into hell and probably don´t know why. Yup - i bought a Car Door Tiffy and Meteor - but this is all... Need Money Airfix ? Make an new quarter scale Lancaster, Flying Fortress and Liberator and i give you my money ! Annnd Spitfire Mk. IXc/and soon "E" in "car scale" pleease. Annnd 1/72 Upholder Submarine
  18. Why ? Eduard´s Gustav v.2016 is an DEFINITIVE kit in quarter scale. Really kit market need another "109" ? I don´t understand this policy of HobbyBoss/Trumpeter. In last time overprized kits with many flaws about accuracy. Few kits are gorgeous (M1070 HET) but many not... "Whooo neeed an Hob-by-Boss ? I´m nooot !" :D
  19. When you need a competetion kit yup, but i´am a weekend builder with limited building skills (see on my another kits here in gallery)... And small scale isn´t for me a priority (i prefer quarter scale and 1/32)... Italeri make a Mk. VII but this is a horrible kit (when you compared it with another kits from last time - Airfix, Sword, AZ/KP and Eduard...).
  20. Huh, Academy Butcher Bird looks really - strange. Short nose FW-190 is my beloved German fighter and i make it from few kit producers. Italeri - nice but with positive panel lines. Revell - my favourite - i build it a 5x-6x pieces... New tool Airfix - overal nice, but with really ugly whells (WHY AIRFIX ?) and few innacurates in panels... In my kit stack i have two Eduards (in Czech it is in weekend editon one of cheapest and now released heavy armored "Sturmbock". ) Academy have problem with "Emil" too... and "Anton" is as i see another case :/ Probably build without problems, but accuracy IS problem.
  21. I look for photos of Pierre Clostermann´s High Altitude Spitfire. In this machine (with cooperating her friend and Wingman Jaques Remlinger) he shoot down an German spy plane (probably Bf-109G-5 ?). I´m not sure it is a Mk. VII or Mk. VIII (i can built it in small scale from brand new Eduard Mk. IX and ignored a diferrences (in this small scale ) between versions...
  22. I was little bored by a historical/real modeling and can test something new. After i buy a new Total War: Warhammer i have an idea - a Terrorgheist ! I bought it - and in home found i have for disposition a parts for Zombie Dragon too. I love Dragons - and in case is my choice clear ! I was very surprised of moulding quality with nice, sharp details - really sharp (yes, a model building something hurt...). All is an click clack, only manual is sometimes unclear (too small pics !) - but all is logic and i haven´t any problem - build is straigforward as Tamiya ! (And plastic looks too similiar.) After three hours was this huge undead Beast completed - with their "dark Lord" on saddle ! I look forward to giving of undead finish of this flying nightmare (little looks as Dragon from end of Doom 3). Any tips for colour finish, please ? Thank you !
  23. Hmmm, British jet engines was a far better as German jet engines. Capturing of Meteor can be really bad for Allies. And when Meteors flying in allied side of frontline only, they never engaged any German aircraft (when German aircraft don´t flying of frontline. Simple ! Thank you ! To Spitfire vs. Spitfire. I read a many years ago a story when IAF Spitfire shot down a RAF photor-recoon Spitfire over Palestina. This story was used as boxart on kit from Czech production, but i never know what type of PR Spit IAF Claimed, but i memory a British Pilot was KIA. For me it is a sad story - Israel and United Kingdom never been a enemies. The Israeli Spit was probably delivered from Czechoslavakia. (I think a boxart was on old MpM Spitfire, -but wich version ? I don´t remember !) RAF jet jockey shot down enemy aircraft in Cold War period ! In Korean War they are a few kills on Meteor F.8 (Yup, this is a Australia, but they are too a fighters of Her Majesty.) Most famed is kill on Sea Fury (Mig-15). Yes this is a luck shoot -but... Kill is confirmed. (And piston engine powered fighter(Tempest on steroids) shot down a jet of second generation ! ) Sea Harriers against Argentinians jets.... In Operation Desert Storm have RAF kill probably to (notorious famed a desert pink Tonka with big shark mouth - "MiG Eater" Tornado Gr.1 - not ?) And over former Yugoslavia territory haven´t British pilots any kill ?
  24. It´s a problem here a main difference between Gripen and Hind - a ownership. JAS-39 are LEASED from Sweden. They are still owned by Swedish Kingdom. And CZAF can´t make a big changes on their airframes - including of marking. Mi-35 are owned by Czech Republic - and was retired soon. This is difference. You can´t make a masive airbrush artwork on leased fighters.... Therefore all tail and canard art on Gripen are very decent on self adhesive foil. Hinds owned by Czech state can be fully airbrushed, without any problem. Fiercy Tiger was inspired by Island scenery - Vulcans... Czech pilots guards Island in NATO allied support program.
  25. Meteor were used operationally from June ´44. (616th Squadron). Me-262 coming into service in the same time. (First Me-262 was lost in fatal incident on 18th June ´44) but Galland´s squadron was formed after Christmas 1943. But Luftwaffe pilots have many kills on their jets of both types (Me-262 and He-162) - and British RAF jockeys haven´t any kill of enemy airplane, they kills a flying bombs V-1 only. Why ? It is a summer/autumm ´44 and war isn´t still on end, we have a Market Garden operation, a Battle of Bulge, Across the Rhine etc... Luftwaffe is still operational and used jets against Allies on Reich Defense units. Meteor is used as attack plane against ground targets but never encountered any German aircraft... I still don´t understand For example a Hawker Tempest (last piston fighter of RAF Fighter Command)was intensive used in air combat in last months of WW II.
