    Trouble is, its like drinking, once you start its the top of a very slippery slope.

    Always a pleasure to see hoghedge posting, I can only add my hope that things turn corners for you.

    Had to look up RSV as I wasn't sure if this was a modelling acronym that I'd not come across. 

    For any sneezy, cold, fluey type symptom, my father swore by a used sock tied around the neck and worn overnight, (had to be your sock tho). Sounds rank but it seems to work.

    Anyhoo you only have to hit a few bricks out to make a wall fall down

    Sad that this build/instruction manual has ended, but looking forward to the Jags and possibly the diorama of the bang seat on a hill i:) (has to be included in the category of 'things I've flown')

    Fell asleep at the wheel of my dad's Allegro coming back from a Yes concert at Bingley Hall at 2 in the morning on the M50 in 1977, hit a kerb bent the front disk and blew a hole in the sidewall of the tyre. Never changed a wheel so fast in my life, Dad was not amused as he had to take my Moggie Thou van into work and had the p**s taken all day.

    After reading intro etc, and having an Airfix Ligtning in Stash #1, I thought that a metal nose ring and shock cone would be a good addition to the bits n pieces, so I pinged a request off to Mini World. I didn't realise that they are based in Kviv, and are probably freezing their B******ks off due to the situation over there. I have been humbled by the fact that they are able to find a small bit of humour as they included a Mr Packy flier in with the order, this describes standard working practices for Ukrianian farmers and the best way to see off unwelcome ships in the Black Sea. For those that haven't used this company before I would strongly recommend reaching out to them. They are producing niche consumer items under challenging circumstances and on first inspection the parts look well made, so as the TESCO Supermarket advert says...Every little helps

     

    I note that there was fighting over the recent models, I hope that you have recovered :) and are not too badly roughed up

    No sticky-out-at-the-front-thingies yet, that's got to be at least a page worth, plus the foldie-over-glass-lookie-lockie contraptions need to be added. Seroiious procrastination required methinks.

     

    Anyroad, and however, these two do stand up to micro macro scrutiny, its scary that they can fit in an open hand.....so real, so real.

    I get Bald moments, but I've used it to my benefit

    Standard response to Postie within earshot of SWMBO

    'I can't remember ordering this/these' followed by an exagerated Gallic shrug

    Once the thought is there it can't be un-thought

     

    Anyroadup praps you could offer one of the 5? little gems to various to clubs stands at next years Tellers and start a sort of a BM treasure hunt? I am confident you would be sans hands in no time.

     

    I know your skills involved in getting these to where they are have been improved and expanded, but looking back at the Chippie and the 'low tech'(but gobsmacking) techniques used on that little beauty, I am encouraged that non-cads like myself can still aspire to attaining the bar (see what I did there?) set by your good self.

    Mine was at RAF St Athen 1972 end of the day, low mist starting to roll in off the Severn, eveyone returning to coaches and cars accross hardstandings, a noise that cavetated my chested came over the top of the crowd, rose to avoid the tower and for a short period there were three suns in the sky. I remember one small boy actually falling over from the shock as the beast disappeared into the amber gloom, my mate and I went from Ooooo to Cor to crying laughing at the poor child's predicament. 

    I consider page 2 as an early start for me.

     

    After market the innards out of it old fruit!!!
