  2. Decent 1/48 Hawker Tempest, after the success of the Typhoon why not? Also for my upteenth time of asking and taking into consideration that the mighty A have never done one, also they have done Beaufighter and Blenheim, there is one sat at Hendon all ready for a bit of LiDAR action. Oh come on please, please please? A decent kit of the Beaufort in the Gentleman's scale, closely followed by the Fairey Albacore, not to big an ask for my wishing at Christmas list for 2017
  3. Avtar, Airfix P40B So who, for 3 boiled eggs, a subscription to Stoat fondlers monthly and a cashmere cod piece can guess what kit I will be buying? Cant beat a wee bit of P40
  4. Thanks Rob, Praise indeed from you sir. Im posting the Hawker Hurricane heart ache thread tonight. Bitten off more than I can chew springs to mind. Build thread and a half. ChuckB
  5. Thank you for all your kind words. Im on the Hurricane now, When I have time I will start the build thread. Chuck B
  6. I have a Trumpeter 1/24 Hawker Hurricane IID that would be ideal for this Group Build. A good excuse to build a monster kit, can I participate please?
  7. Stick with it, I think we both used the same After Market parts for the build.Lots of work put into yours, I think it will be stunning when it is finished. ChuckB
  8. Great build of the Flower, love all the little details like the work on the Oerlikons and 4" mounting. As for the Ships company you can hear the Jimmy barking "SHIPS COMPANY TURNING FORRARD< DIIIIIIIIIIIIIISMISS" The finish on the crew is excellent.
  9. As ever Tony, mint build and also something different. Never enough Hurricanes!
  10. Pulls up chair, its a P-40 Im not going anywhere this weekend. Someone put the kettle on please
  11. Cracking build Tony and a great colour scheme. Hope mine turns out that good ChuckB
  12. Very nice Blenheim, lovely weathering and great colour scheme choice.
  13. I have the 1/48 Hasegawa kit of this aircraft in the stash. Once I have finished the 1/32 Hurricane I am on Im thinking of doing that one next. Really nice paint finish and the underside WOW, I never seem to get mine right. You have set the bar high Great work ChuckB
  14. Proper job, lovely build sir! Very nicely finished and I do love a bit of history in the RFI introduction. I try and do the same. Im posting my next adventure in drastic plastic tomorrow night.1/32 Rag Wing Hurricane, Revell vintage, plus Grey Matters parts and Montex masks. Keeping the Battle of Britain theme going after the Spitfire Mk1 Again a smart build and great finishing. All the best ChuckB
  15. Hi Im faced with the same quandry. My father in law has asked me to build a 1/32 rag wing Hurricane for his RAFA Club. So I have taken on the ultimate challenge with my infinite lack of skill. To convert the Revell 1970's kit to an early MK1. Im posting my build thread tonight. Lord save me from what my big mouth has got me into. Chuckb
  16. Lovely work, just built one of these myself. Mines over on the RFI page. I did mine as a MK1 and very weather beaten. They do build up well, sorry to hear about the parts issues. Truly a lovely build
  17. Cannot beat an awesome Spitfire build..... Yep there it is. Lovely work on that, great weathering and finish. Love it Hoofin stuff. ChuckB
  18. Nice work Royal! That cockpit is absolutely clean, better than my fingers and thumbs efforts. Keep going this is one interesting build project.
  19. HI all, well I am very keen on this, a rare one to be sure. Also highly unlikely that anyone else will ever produce a kit like this. I would like to see some photos first, however all being well I will place my deposit this weekend.
  20. Beautiful representation of a classic kit. A very clean build, really takes me back to my teens
  21. Thanks all, Im just in the process of sanding off the last of the rivets around the cowel and re scribling. This is my first attempt at a full re scribe on an airframe, god its difficult! The Fly models kit looks promising. I will invest in one of those when it comes out. As for the Vintage Revel kit. I think it has had its day. The inaccuracies with the wheel well are glaring, the shape seems to match up to my plans but oh my the raised detail and rivets. I dont think if it was real it would ever have got off the ground.
  22. Cracking build as ever sir. You really have done that kit justice. ChuckB
  23. Well I have started on the Mk1. Thanks and props to Grey Matter. Their parts arrived in record time. Im now sanding off the largest rivets in NATO. Also managed to procure a PCM rag wing from HLJ will arrive later than I need but it will go in the stash. Chuck.
