  7. how about going a little left field........something odd.....a decent beaufighter for starters?..........and why european...ki-84 could do with a decent kit
  8. Hi Nick ive got the same problem,,,what do i need to do to be invited back? Paul sabin
  9. boomerang scheme's mainly depend on the model type... CA-12 raaf dark earth and foliage green raaf sky under sides....A46-1>105 CA-13 raaf dark earth and foliage and sky undersides...all fitted with a flame dampener exhaust.....A46-106>199 CA19 foliage green overall with white leading edges and tail.....A46-200>249 the white tails were meant to be painted on any single engined aircraft operating in PNG and were on the earlier types often paInted in the field. and the blue tail tip is a mistake..it was foliage green.
  10. oh i'd buy a ZM shinden in 1/72..........and most other's as well!~!
  11. i got this back today... Thank you for your kind request on SWS kit. You listed a lot of attractive British and Japanese Aircrafts !! What would be the result if we recreate the Kangaroo in SWS kit!? I'm getting excited by imagining that. Please keep supporting SWS kits until the day these kits are realized. i think its a pretty standard reply.....but peronalized and i9 must admit quiet nice to recieve........yup the ca-15 would excite me too!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. just done the same....be interesting to see what they say.....whirlwind,ca-15 and A7M2 reppu
  13. 1/48 or 1/72 would be fine...interesting designs
  14. ooohhhhh looks like i need to find a couple of more airfix whirlies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. a decent nakajima kikka in 1/72 would be nice...also a ca-14a boomerang(well i can wish!!) and any news on the ki102?
  16. yep GiorgioN...but if petter got his way the whirlwind would have dad this power(not the poor 650 hp of the peregrine )...so power ands altitiude....400mph twin in 1940/41!!!!!! two stage whirlly...450 mph...maybe...dowding hated it..westlands couldnt produce the numbers......and yet produced plenty of spit's....unfortinatly she was always going to be a passing light...what could have been....but never was...too early and too late!! the hornet's advantage...range...jets couldnt go that far or be trusted to last that long...a near 500mph fighter that could fight and hit hard....hhmmma two stege whilwind could have been done two or three years earlier!!!!!..p38 proved what a propper twin could do!! btw a hornet had twice the power of an early merlin..,........close to three times a peregrine...a whirlwind with 50% more power and real super charger's..may have been not much better thanwhat was avaiible ...but if the brass had seen what the pilots had seen......the whirlwind may have just had a real chance!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. isnt that the biggest problem with the whirlwind?...it was before it's time...turning dog fights were out..but she didnt have the speed or the altitude to go far beyond 1941 without becoming a train attacker!!lived for 3 years after production finished....but never found a real niche!! always with out a home...and yet mr dehavilland built a hornet and showed what she could have been.....but for merlins!!!!!!!!!!...petter wanted them...and the whirly may have been better for them...but the hornet would have never existed with out them!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. jerry if i recal...petter wanted the merlin but the airministry wouldnt let them have it?...the nacelle was said to be designed for the merlin with a few minoir mods here's my merlin powered one!!! i also read that on the deck a whirlwind was pretty much big trouble for a 190!!
