  1. The framework and mesh look spot on Chris. Great work.
  2. Inspirational work going on here Chris. Looking forward to your updates. Andrew
  3. Brilliant work Tony, I'm late to your build but really enjoying your work. Andrew
  4. This is superb! The magnetic mount and twin propeller disk really add to build.
  5. Very impressive work. The mechanics of the wing fold are fantastic. Andrew
  6. What a great day and great pictures as well. Lovely to see and hear those historic aircraft flying. Andrew
  7. Thanks for sharing this one Bill. I really enjoyed reading through your build. A brilliant result. Andrew
  8. Yes, thanks. I enjoy the decal stage. You're lucky to be in Goulburn. Andrew
  9. In a burst of activity, and with some trepidation, I've finished airbrushing and unmasked the paint scheme. Close up, its not as smooth as I'd wish but decent airbrushing is a skill that eludes me. Looks like I now need a gloss coast and some decals before final assembly.
  10. Hi Bob, good to know about the new exhibit at Newark. It’s nice when you come across something you’ve worked in a museum setting. You’re right about the remove before flight tags. I’ve seen those before in 1/72 scale but don’t unfortunately have any myself. Andrew
  11. Brilliantly done and a very fetching scheme. I like how the green of the engine compartment and undercarriage bays is complemented by the roundels. The surface detail of the kit is, as you say, superb. Andrew
  12. That looks brilliant and very convincing to my eyes. Did you scratch-build any components or use any aftermarket etch or parts? Andrew
  13. Very nicely done. That's a tiny aircraft at 1/72. Andrew
  14. Thank you so much. I'm really fond of the kit and how it has turned out. There's a few little things I'd do again - the orange coat hi-lighted a few imperfections around the leading wing edges - but it's too late now to revisit that. The film was an eye-opener for me as well. They were certainly a stunning piece of technology. Thanks Jeff. The colour has a lot to do with lighting and film type / white balance etc. They could well have appeared different in real life but I agree the one with the Skyhawk is a rich orange colour. I'll use a better camera for the RFI photos which may make it appear a little different. Andrew
  15. That's just fantastic Chris. A beautiful finish and masterful paintwork. Andrew
