  1. Thank you very much for such kind comments . My uncle was a jeweler))).
  2. IMHO, this is unlikely. I don't think there was such a strong exhaust.
  3. You can see some information about this aircraft on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blohm_%26_Voss_BV_138 This model is the repacking of “Revel” from “Supermodel”. I spent more than 100 hours of labor for assembling this set. The main difficulty - is cutting from rough external lines of joining panels to delicate internal lines. I was added and anew produced many small parts from my own stock materials. Assembling process can to see here: http://scalemania.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=390 Blohm und Voss Bv 138 C-1 Code: K6 + AK Serial number: 0310158 Department: 2.Staffel Küsten Flieger Gruppe 406, coast of Norway, 1943 crew: 1. 4. Bf 109E-7 W.Nr Unbekannt (tail number is not known), the pilot - Franz Elles 2./JG27 The set is very good. Assembly – is a pleasure. But I bought to this gorgeous set - the new cab and alloy wheels from “Aires”, landing flaps from “Quickbust” and the turned barrels from the Polish “Aber”. Antenna cable – is a nylon thread. Painted: Top basic is the Humbrol 63 Sand, stain Tamiya 58, bottom Humbrol 65. Rapid identification band is Akan. Color RLM 78/79/80. Weathering - Tamiya. Washing - MIG. Lacquers - Futura, Tikurilla. 5. This company has always produced very extravagant sets. I will soon be announced on another airplane model from the firm.
  6. If you notice, this aircraft is no exhaust pipe. There was applied the system is very innovative for the time. And only one gloomy German genius known why these radiators so far away from the fuselage . I think, that it was made so for the best weight balance and for more efficient cooling.
  7. I'll to observe this assemble with great pleasure. I have the very good version of "Auntie Ju" in 1:72 from Heller.
  8. I think that this plane is similar to the aggregate of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars.
  9. I'm looking for TB-3 "zveno" from ICM and ready to buy (even expensive). The other day one of our colleague founded it at the Polish site and bought the last copy .
  10. Very nice machine! But I would add a little bit of washing and weathering.
  11. Ba.88 delusions are probably the most unfortunate of combat vehicles used in the Second World War. By mid-November of 1940 any equipment was removed from majority of the Ba.88 aircraft, and they were placed on existing airfields to lure British attack aircraft. However, at this time were set 19 Ba.88, collected by Breda, and 48 - by IMAM Meridionali. Many machines went straight to the scrap. Despite this, Ba.88 very interesting shapes and proportions. For example, with the ratio of tiny canopy and hyper-engine plane on the design looks interesting even today. I can’t to say that assembly was easy. All the details required to fit and fillers. I used aftermarket from same company, but it sold separately. Barrels of guns traditionally made from needles. All edges of the wing were boring and then cutting was restored. Pitot tube made from brass tubes. Leafs of main chassis made from the beer tin. Location and density of spots made on the motif. Paints – Tamiya and Alclad.
  12. The main condition for the application of spots - very diluted paint and low pressure airbrush.
  13. Very nice maschine. But the experience with spots drawings - will come with time.
  14. Thank you very much for comments. Such comments are good inspiration for new work. As far as I know, there was built only 3 copies of this aircraft. But flew just one. It was a very "raw" machine.
  15. No, my friend. This "wooden box" was in the kit. Unfortunately, there are was not layout of rocket site. At your request, as you remember , I put the blade in order to understand the size of the model.
  16. Don't worry . The photos below (3rd from end) shows that the wheels are further from the radiator.
  17. The plastic and some resin parts, unfortunately, aren’t best quality. Assembling of almost all parts requires fitting, sanding and putty. Joints of panels are internal, but non-deep. Wheels are from "Equipage" firm. There no any aftermarket for this model. And what I have to did: 1. The deepening of existing jointing and cutting the new one; 2. Barrels of the gun and machine guns, pitot tube made from injection needles and a piece of the drill; 3. The gun sight made from the transparent plastic + painting; 4. Belts in the cockpit; 5. Pipes on the right side of the hood - copper tube from “Lionroar”; 6. Navigation lights – colored transparency plastic; 7. Navigation light on tail – drop of glue; 8. Thrust trimmer on rudder - pieces of old etched parts and nylon thread; 9. Drive parts of stabilizer - old etched parts too; 10. The mechanization of the wing was cut; 11. The screw was strongly sawn, because it previously resembled like a screw of grinder; 12. Rack of chassis and its drives was redone in fact - was used needles, pieces of old etched details, copper wire to simulate the hydraulics. 13. Rear rack sawn from the set wheel; 14. Decals from set - only the top crosses on the wing, the rest + technical from my stocks; 15. Nozzle turbocharger system supplemented with clips of foil; 16. Ring antenna was made from piece of new gate and wire, there was set resin, but is too thick; 17. Headlight was made from crystals, filled with gel glue and grounded; 18. Holes for barrels escape was cutting anew (missing in the wing). References: 1. Monogram Close-Up 20 Blohm & Voss 155 2. Bilderliste BV 155 1944
  18. Thanks for the comments, dear colleagues. Stand is made at my request, from one of the most talented modelers in the world. His nickname Slava Trudu. Next display stand you can see on my Bachem Ba-349a Natter model.
  19. By the spring of 1944 the German High Command realized that the own air defense can not to make something against constant daily capacity allied bombers raid on the industrial city. The situation was so serious that even the most unusual proposals for the interception and destruction of bombing compounds were considered, but only a few have been feasible. One of these proposals was eccentric Erich Bachem project - to create cheap, vertical launch missile air defense fighter. Vertical launch missile interceptor was proposed by the Technical Department in the summer of 1939 but it was rejected as too fantastic. Bachem’s project has extremely simple, with maximum use of materials in the construction of non-deficient and unskilled labor for assembly. Cheap and non-deficient materials used in the construction of each site, which was to be used only once. The rocket engine was supposed to save for later use. The model is purely "only box details" and it was assembled for two evenings. Details at least, but it needs cleaning and trimming. I grind all the edges. Place for a canopy too had to adjust. Canopy was muddy, needed to polish and varnish. Also I made preshading and washing. Paint - the background RLM76, rings RLM75, starting boosters RLM02. Metallic - Alclad.
  20. I am very glad to see you, Dmitriy! . I can not hide anywhere from Russian Mafia . I think your artwork will also be very interesting for this users too.
  21. Arado Ar 196A-3 of 5./ Bordfliegergruppe 196 August 1941 at Brest-Hourtin, France Ar-196 was one of the latest and most massive Luftwaffe seaplane. Geography of basing of these small, but very aggressive machines was very extensive: the Atlantic, the North Sea, the Baltic, Mediterranean and Black Sea. Ar-196 worked very effectively as a ship scout and received an honorary nickname "Kriegsmarine eyes." The appearance of "Arado" floating upper Allied convoys could mean only one thing - a quick attack. It was one of the most successful aircraft in its class, and the fact that he served until the end of the WWII is the best proof. The model attempts to display Ar 196a-3 from 5./196 squadrons which in mid-1941, with its 26 aircraft (except Ar-196A-3 had a few He-114) carried out combat missions over the Biscay Bay, intercepting "Whitley" bombers going after Germany submarines. Revell’s model Ar 196A-3 is essentially repacking ancient model of the French "Heller", but with his good decal with traditionally rich technical inscriptions. Perhaps, it is one only positive aspect of this model, as the main criterion - good copy number, this model does not have. There are ancient Airfix, but there is a copy number is also not good, as far as I understood from the pictures of the finished models. The main drawbacks of the manufacturer inherent to me - this is the wrong shape and slightly wide keel and narrow floats. It is strange, that with the means at my numerous drawings match the proportions of the keel, but in the photos it is more elongated shape. And probably, master of mother model apparently relied at the time on these drawings. Canopy of the model is a terror, in the form of rough cast disgusting muddy plastic with irremovable bubbles inside, and lots of flash. Repeatedly “Future”-consistent procedures is made the canopy more decent. What the hell the canopy cast from three bad abutting parts also unclear, because to make it in the clear, because of the thickness of plastic is simply impossible. As a result, the canopy is long customized; cracks were filled with gel cyanoacrylate glue, putty and all skins. The whole sordid bulge out joint lines alters nesting inside. And the secret stairs to the crew in the fuselage didn’t need to cut - decal still hidden cuts. The wing and rudder edges are ground off. The assembly was used as aftermarket etched parts from Eduard - Pitot tube, motor wiring, holders of bombs, a step on the rack, water wheels, and the simulation of the upper panels with hatches on the floats and draft stabilizer, and completely cockpit, along with the walls and chairs. I used only one set detail in the cockpit – is the oversized desk gun - which, ideally, yourself making is too better. Movable machine gun MG15, as well as the wing cannons and stationary MG17 MGFF made from injection needles, foil and old stocks of etched parts. But MG15 better substitute for products from the Mini World. Something, given in the set drowned in flash - resembling MG81Z coaxial machine gun from A-5 version. Apron of motor shell is also made from etched parts, but IMHO to no purpose. There should be still more truncated cone than a cylinder. Air intake filters are simulated from grid of tea bag. Navigation lights made from gel of cyanoacrylate glue, then painted with Tamiya Clear Red and Green. The antenna tower made from stretched intake, wire – from colored human hair)). Exhaust pipes (which are generally has not in the set) made from turned intake. Pipes under the nose of fuselage were machined grooves. Front opening lid (below, on the oil cooler) was simulated from strips of thin plastic. Supporting rough straps were ground off and replaced with strips of foil. Ropes with clips were made from twisted copper wire of 0.1 mm and then inserted into the empty slots in the model. Braces made from split cord yarn. Mounting lugs made from copper wire. Bollards on the floats made from wire too. Primer and paint - Tamiya. To compile RLM 72/73 I learned a lot of information - different view of this case comes to the absurd. On some sites that were discussing even darker - 72 or 73))). Because different paint manufacturers, models, and the "historical" literature quite different interpretations of these colors. Rather tired of this mess, I still decided to give preference to one of clear information - RLM 72/73 is the sea counterparts RLM 70/71. According to the descriptions of those who saw these colors, they differ in that they have a bluish-gray hue. So I went away, adding to the 70/71 blue and light gray colors. It is no secret that the green color is a mixture of blue and yellow. More yellow - green grass, more blue - emerald green, respectively. On my model green spectrum deviates toward to the emerald green. This is my vision, by the way, which coincides with the vision of the art-paints.com site. I chipped and worn only floats. I was made a little loss of pigment there are on the wing, where the crew and staff went. Wash made to a minimum - mostly at the joints deflecting surface, the bottom did not do at all - sliced a deep cut and so clearly visible. Trolley from the Czech company "Kora" - an awesome sight, but it has no any alternative. References: 1. Waffen-Arsenal_2520126 2. Wydawnictwo Militaria Ar-196 3. Авиаколлекция 2010 № 04. 22. Yes, sir. Now I'm busy with building BF-109F-2 from Fine Molds it is such a decal. But the process of delaying the availability of additional photoetched parts from "Edward."
  23. Oh yeah! It is really great! I know this terrible plastic, you made the heroism!
  24. Very nicely looking. I love red color in the technical units .
  25. Thanks for the comments. I am very pleased to be here. If only because of the fact that through contact with some members I can touch some great stories. Eternal glory to our grandfathers and great-grandfathers!
