  1. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Let me present you my next model in 1/48 scale. It's Eduard dual combo kit, but a made this one in US camouflage. The kit is fine, I made only riveting and wing edge sharpening.
  2. I will try to answer all the questions in one post. The manufacturer of the model is the Czech company RS Models. It is relatively fresh and is still on free sale. The model is made by the classic technology of "short run". This means that large parts of the model do not fit perfectly. Small parts require careful processing. The model has photo-etched parts that take a lot of time for their application. The model assembly scheme is not entirely obvious - as a result, I made one significant error - all deflected wing surfaces should be at a distance from it, and not right next to mine. I also forgot to unstick the adhesive tape on the three windows of the photo equipment below. By the way, which must be done by himself. And it is also desirable to make the cameras themselves. The glazing of the cabin is completely opaque and disgustingly distorts visibility. In short - I did not get any pleasure from the assembly of this model. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are not many built models of this outstanding aircraft on the network.
  3. The fuselage of this aircraft is not so big. But the wing is very sweeping. Because it is a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft. Unfortunately, I don't make any photoreport from building of models.
  4. Hi, everyone! I present you my next model. This is typical "shortrun" model, not easy to assembly.
  5. The set is pretty good. There is a magnificent detail of the engine compartment. But the detailing of the cabin, in my opinion, is poor. Therefore, the use of additional sets of parts is justified. For painting, I used Mr. Surface 1500, camouflage colors - Tamiya acrylic.
  6. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Let me present you my 3rd model in 1/48 scale. I used some "Aires" resin parts, "Eduard" etched set and "Foxbot" decals.
  7. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! 10 years I have been making model of airplanes. But recently, I wanted to make figures. And I liked it. This is my fourth job.
  8. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Let me present to your attention my next model. This is Italian light bomber and attack aircraft, weak in parameters, but very charismatic in appearance))). Unfortunately, I can not say anything good about the model manufacturer. I had a lot to modify, add and manufacture again. But this model has no alternative manufacturer in the 72nd scale.
  9. I added rivets where they were missing due to the processing of the docking.
  10. Good question. Definitely I'm not sure they were blue. But in some photos they look dark, and on boxing the artist also depicted them in blue. Because these glass parts after installation do not look very presentable, I decided to tint them with transparent blue varnish. This plane was mainly engaged in photo intelligence. Maybe he needed to darken the glass for some process? Anyway, you can consider this a kind of artistic device )).
  11. Honestly, there is nothing unusual here. These are just dots of oil paint (green+brown+gray) over matte acrylic. I just rubbed it with a wide brush.
  12. Hi, everybody! It's my next model from Special Hobby.
  13. The headlights of the landing lights are made of Belarusian "Elf" sets. On the left wing console, the compartment is closed with ordinary stationery tape.
  14. Yes, you are right. I had exactly this "Flak Bait" set and I drew inspiration from it. But I didn't want to use decals from Hasegawa - they are too thick, you know.
  15. Thanks for the comment, colleague. Yes, loaded wheels would be welcome. I couldn't find ready-made for this model. And I was too lazy to remake the wheels from the set.
  16. Hi, everybody! It's my next model from excellent "Hasegawa". I used two etched set (interior+exterior) from "Eduard" and "Miniworld's" gun barrels.
  17. I made main identification marks from stencils, and the remaining decals are from the SH box. But I will immediately say - they turned out to be of poor quality, because reacted very poorly to special adhesion fluids.
  18. Of course, you are right, sir. But at the same time, not every plane fits absolutely "clean look". Some of them want to give a little "vitality." In the end, I am almost an artist - I see the world like this))).
  19. Hello colleagues. Its me again. This time with the Vampire. A little history about the pilot: DH.100 Vampire Mk.I, TG/287, HF-L, Squadron Leader Frank J Howell DFC and Bar, No.54 Sqn RAF, based at Odiham, April 1948. In 1940, whilst with 609 (F) sqn, F/Lt Howell shot down several enemy’s aircraft, achieved the squadron’s 100th victory (a Ju 88 shared with P/O SJ Hill) and was awarded the DFC. In 1941 he formed and commanded 118 Sqn and also claimed its first victory, a He 111 on 8 July and was awarded a Bar to his DFC in November. In the winter of 1941-42, he commanded 243 Sqn at Kallang to defend Singapore and flying a Buffalo, he shot down a Ki-27/Type 97 fighter. Captured by the Japanese in February 1942 and released just after the Japanese surrender in August 1945. In January 1948, he took command of 54 Sqn at Odiham only to be killed on 9 May 1948 while making a cine film of the squadron’s Vampires, one of which struck him on the forehead with its wing tip.
