Cheers for the help, I'm currently experimenting to get a colour that looks good to my eye but all of your advice hasbeen most helpful. Sadly the kit decals aren't very inspiring and it seems that unless you want to do one of the recent anniversary markings you are screwed for replacements in 1:72, unless any of you know where I can get a set for the tiger stripped jet or similar?

Hi All, I'm just after a bit of advice on the correct red to use on my 1/72 T45A Goshawk the kit says FS 28915 or Italeri 1745 (Fluorescent Red) but locally I can only get Humbrol or Tamiya colours and I was hoping someone would be able to help with a decent match for the colour.

Apparently the Nottingham store will close this week and stock levels are low! I went in to the Derby store last week, Aircraft kit stock was low but plenty of other stuff and they are expecting to get the left overs from Nottingham and Leicester. I managed to get the Skyfall AW101 for £13 and the Tamiya Red Bull RB6 for £35!

Has anybody heard of any plans by Decal producers to do a 1/72 sheet covering the 2012 RCAF Demo Hornet? I know that Hasegawa has brought the kit out as a limited edition but as I already have 4 Hornet kits I don't really fancy spending £30 on another even if the scheme is stunning.

There are some sweet ideas here and that aircraft profiles link has given me an idea for a post independence Scottish jet I'm just doing my first What If's as starting with a Royal Navy Sea Eagle equipped F18E Super Hornet then a USMC or USN Adversary Rafale and a RAF Hawk FGR2 CAS bird. Basically because I'm not confident enough to totally remodel a kit I'm going for non standard users and a plausible back story.

It's a bit poignant reading this thread today with the news that the Tbirds and Blue Angels are both scrapping their show season this year :-( I'll be looking forward to seeing the finished kits!

How available are Army Lynx's in 1:72? I've been looking on EBay and never seem to see any but I would like to build one as a RM bird.
