  1. Thanks everyone for the replies I have the same kit, but have not gone with any PE for it. Plans for it is to be part of a dio that includes this kit: https://www.verlindenonline.com/2776-camping-grounds-germany-wwii-tankers-1-35-scale.html That has helped a lot. I have used the fruil tracks before on this Wirbelwind: Thanks again for all your replies and assistance, it's very much appreciated. Cheers, Michael.
  2. Hi guys, I'm wondering if I could get steered in a good direction. I have Tamiya's 1/35 Panther Ausf A on the go and I'm looking at getting some aftermarket tracks. The ones that I'm looking at are the ModelKasten SK-13 set or the Friulmodel AT-33 set. Can someone help me with some information? Cheers, Michael.
  3. Thanks Ozzy, That helps me a great deal Cheers, Michael.
  4. G'day Everyone, I have got around to having a crack at Verlindens kit # 2776 "German Camping Grounds". My question regards the painting of the bottles that are in the kit. The base colour of the resin is a pale yellow. How do you the Dio makers get the effect of glass bottles? With & without fluid in them? I use acrylic paints due to the room that I work is a small 'study' so I like to steer clear of enamels due to the smell. Looking forward to hearing any tips. Thank you, and have a safe and wonderful New Year. Cheers, Michael.
  5. I've got a reply form the ultracast crew and they supplied me with the view of the upper wings for the A/C in this decal sheet. And Jack you were right on the mark. And apparently they will update the web site to include the extra views. Cheers, Michael.
  6. Thanks again Jack for your help. I've emailed ultracast to see if they can help. Thank you again to the both of you who replied. Cheers, Michael.
  7. Thanks for the reply & photo Jack. I guess it would help know the references they used. I'll keep searching the net for info. Thanks for the help so far. Cheers, Michael.
  8. Thanks for the reply Vesa, That helps alot. Cheers, Michael.
  9. G'day Everyone, I have recently taken a Bf109G-2 into my possesion and I'm going to add it to my other 109s in service of Jg 27. I'm thinking of doing it as either of the first two of the A/C: http://www.ultracast.ca/products/Limited%20Stock/Third%20Group/48-064/default.htm My question is; would the upper wing surfaces have the similar camo style or be the RLM 79 with the RLM 74 'splinter' style? Thank you for reading and look forward to any help available. Cheers, Michael.
  10. I found this little bit of info here: http://www.airhistory.org.uk/spitfire/p026.html. It seems BM 243 had a rudder & fuel mod done and had the stiffeners added prior to being sent to 453. Cheers, Michael.
  11. Thanks very much for the info Edgar. I'll post some photos once production gets underway. Once again, thank you very much for the help. Cheers, Michael.
  12. G'day, I use the Lifecolor range of acrylics. however doing a quick search I came up with this : http://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/jgrlm.htm F/S 36492 which also appears to be RLM 63v.2 according to this site. http://www.paint4models.com/paintchart/paintconversionchart20100101e.htm# Humbrol 196, and Tamiya XF66 seem to be a close match. Hope that helps. Cheers, Michael.
  13. Hi Guys, I'm hoping a Spitty buff may be able to help me out. My plans are to biuld Tamiya's 1/48 Mk Vb spit and do her in the colours for 453 RAAF. The particular A/C was coded FU-C s/n BM 243. This A/C from what I have found belonged to 453 from 19/8/43 thru to 3/11/43 when it was then transfered to 341 Squadron. The A/C was flown by P/O Russell Leith in one mission where he claimed two Bf-110's as shot down. I'm hoping to find out whether this A/C had the wing stiffeners added or not. The kit that I have has them added to the wing, and I'd like to try and find out if they need to be removed or not. Look forward to hearing some news. Cheers, Michael.
  14. Yes mate, from what I understand. Cheers, Michael.
  15. Here are a few more shots as the build progresses... Wings on... The engine... Rear Gun... Thanks for looking. Cheers, Michael.
