  1. Thank you gentlemen! You were very helpful! Revell 55 than it is! I am using the Zvezda kit, therefore the lack of proper painting instructions!
  2. Hello everyone! I am building an A320-NEO in the new Aegean livery. After an exhausting online search for the blue color of the inside of the P&W engine, I have not been able to find an answer! Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you ahead!
  3. Very nice build of the A320 NEO! I have a question on the paint used for the inside of the engine. Is the blue paint off the shelf or is it a custom blend?
  4. Any updates? Their website preorder page is not working. Neither is the go fund me link.
  5. You are right. I received my orders from 26 and Aviation Megastore. The S&M decals from the Megastore are from the earlier livery version and the 26 are the later version. Looks like I will building two Comets. Anyone build the newer Welsh Comet4B. How does it compare to the Airfix.
  6. I completely missed it! Must be getting old! I ordered another set from Ray's webstore and also gave me an excuse to get the MEA 707 which I wanted for a long time. I already have all the previous Olympic decals from Ray.
  7. Just ordered the S&M Olympic Comet 4B decal from aviationmegastore.com. They still had one left as of yesterday (Tuesday 8/5)
  8. That is some mighty-fine metal work! I envy you guys that you have the time (and ability) to do such precise work. Retirement can't get here soon enough, but getting close.
  9. The "orangey" color you pointed out, is actually a light mist of gold paint with the red showing through. A search on Airliners.net will cofirm it.
  10. I read somewhere that Italian racing red is a close match.https://www.google.com/search?q=tamiya+Italian+red&client=firefox-a&hs=g6i&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=np&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=8nxJU8bWJInf8gGL1IHYCA&ved=0CFwQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=921 Using a white primer(undercoat) might work best. Did you not start this thread? http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234956425-qantas-red/ As far as the blue I do not see a single color but more like three or four. I see KLM blue, Hawaiian purple...... Russel Brown from AHS had one built for his Airliner magazine a few years back. Look in his store for back issues.
  11. Here is a link to Airliners.net http://www.airliners.net/photo/British-Airways/Airbus-A319-131/2207885/L/&sid=cb746ea5e242c8be4222db4cd87dbaa8
  12. To answer the original question about the availability of this decal, considering that it was probably made around 15+ years ago, the chances are very slim. Even on ebay! Maybe we can persuade one the legit decal makers who advertise on this and other forums to make it. I would love to see one for the DC-10.
  13. Not to worry. Nazca are good and legit. I have got decals from them before and will again. I am sure they are talking about the guy from Poland who goes by the name of Alexander.... who sells decals made by Gio from Brasil..... who use to go by the name of rafashir?...... You catch my drift!
  14. I am(was) working on this conversion and my advice is not to bother. If you look closer you will see that Welsh is totaly wrong. The prototype, which I think Revell has it captured spot-on, is a thicker stubby looking aircraft where the Welsh is much thinner and obviously longer. Also the the tail starting from the last window has a very noticeable drop where the Welsh is almost straight. The wing attachment is also a problem as the Revell's are thinner and will require a lot of putty. As it does not closely resemble an RJ100, I will not waste my NAZCA Aegean decals. I've stopped working on it and as soon as I locate which box I have my second RJ85 in, I'll start doing some chopping. Just my two cents. I just realised that this is my first post here so hello everyone and happy moddeling.
