The shop was Lightfoots models and toys and sadly the shop closed when he retired i have spent a lot of time and money in that shop from the 70s when it was round the corner to its last days. There is a model shop in Rhuddlan across the road from Spar and a little cafe which sells the best sausages anywhere!

About to start this kit but i`m totally confused as to which colours go where. The instructions only give Italeri and modelmaster references but looking at builds online they don`t correspond to what i`ve seen. I use mainly Humbrol and i`m wondering whether the main Grey colour is 145 or maybe 5? what colour are the seats? Where the colour listed is fs 34230 i have no idea as theres no equivalent, Can anyone help please?

I keep seeing these descriptions for paint colours on WW2 British tanks but i`ve no idea of any match of either Humbrol or Revell. I`ve spent more time on the Interweb than i have modelling trying to find anything but i`ve come up blank although i have learnt that quite a few people on various sites don`t half use up a lot of words just to say nothing, Anyway some help and basic advice would be appreciated thank you.

The rarest kit(s) I have is the Monogram air combat series P47 Razorback and DO335 Arrow, Not very rare i know but i do have a strange tendency to build my kits

Just for the record I have no problem with the appeal at all, I just don`t think that Animal cruelty even in jest is the right way to do it.

To be honest after looking at the available Whiff schemes for the TSR2 I`d pretty much decided to do the Prototype scheme but seeing how good yours looks well......

The only thing I keep thinking is, Is there another commercially available product that when bought new comes with errors, omissions and inaccuracies? For instance a Ford Fiesta with Doors that did`nt fit or a Steak and Kidney pie with Strawberries instead of kidneys. Trading standards would be on the case straight away. Weird how we put up with it really.

That really is a very impressive sight. I can`t imagine all the hard work that went into it, in fact all it needs is a Train load full of Jews to complete the scene. Sorry to bring this down but in my opinion sometimes I feel people can get dangerously close to not so much glamourising the German Army but almost showing them having a " Jolly old time" . Hi, Thanks for the info. Unfortunately that and most of the conversion tables only list Gunze Aqeous numbers and Mr Color is different.

As above, The colors given are for Gunze Mr Color but I can`t find matches for Humbrol anywhere, the colors are 15=Dark Green, 19-Sand Brown, 116-Black Grey, 122-Light Green, Any help appreciated!

Thinking a little further on this I do wonder if it was a good idea at all. Obviously the work put in so far getting the funds for her to fly again and the engineering effort has been amazing but I just think that it was always going to need so much money to keep her in the air that it would be always on the edge of running out of funds. Don`t get me wrong the Vulcan is an incredible aircraft to see in action but I always thought reality would bite sooner rather than later.

Providing you finish it Then i think this ones going to look very good, I`ve always liked the Stirling.

I`m pretty sure they are all Monogram kits, they should be pretty good all the same though.
