    I can confirm that the second RAF scheme is a stock 617SQN aircraft and there are no weapons apart from Sidewinder included, a little disappointed tbh!

    I agree it would most likely be Revell although what 737 mark is it based on? I know Revell do the -800.

    20th November, another release date slips by, I suppose I could spend my money on Star Wars kits instead.

    I was only going to get the Revell AEW version but as Amazon are selling the Airfix Shackleton at 27.99 including postage then I had to get one!!

    So it seems all that had to be done was to present the evidence on the Airfix forum and they will look into it and presumably change whatever was wrong! Personally I lost the plot after the first couple of pages!!

    You know what? I give in, I'm going to get some Fujimi Brit Phantoms and still buy the Victor!!

    The trouble with a new tooling Vulcan for Airfix is going to be the fact that as the last flying example is now grounded and efforts to get a Shackleton and even possibly Concorde flying, will leave the general public without the interest in the Vulcan and to be fair it's those long term sales which will bring in the profits.

    I still think it will be a Phantom FG1 and FGR2 possibly in 1/48 but more likely in 1/72

    It's the Roger Clark version for me although if there's aftermarket decal sets available I might need more than 1 or 2 or maybe 3!!

    I'm buying one and then keeping it until I see a decal set I like which will cost more but if I can get it cheaper I will but I want it so shut up and take my money!!!!

    I have the kit and it is stunning, individual track links, photo etch lots of decal options whether or not it's accurate is for someone else to decide but it looks like it'll build into a very nice Chieftain MK. 11.

    According to Belkits website the first shot has been approved so i would imagine it won`t be very long now.

    For me I'm going to wait for the Revell AEW version, I just don't have the space for 2 Shackletons and the AEW version is the one I'm more interested in.

    If Airfix wanted to do more overseas aircraft then they could concentrate on types which have been based in the UK, F4, F15, U2, F5, A10 Etc.

    Airfix must be pretty pleased with themselves, not 5 years ago threads like this would be entitled why don't Hasegawa/Revell/Trumpeter/Hobbyboss do these subjects? Now we have the trust in the brand to cover these wishlists, I'm still hoping for new additions to the 1/12 figure line so many possible subjects.
