  1. Hey Artur, It looks very nice like always but in my opinion you should ease a little on the weathering. If you would manage to keep it more suble then this would kick the realism up a notch. Just an imho.. Reg. Jeroen
  2. Well done! This really looks the bizz. Very nice metal finish, make me a bit jealous. Reg. Jeroen
  3. Hi guys. Thank you so much for all the kind words. @scotthldr; Thanks for pointing those things out but to be totally honest, I never care about these things. For me it's all about presenting a great looking model with the loadout I think looks cool. i don't care for 100% accuracy. Have a nice day, Jeroen
  4. Thank you all so much guys! This really makes me appreciate this baby so much more again. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we are all a little blind of the beauty of things we create ourselves. It is this appreciation that opens my eyes for how special all of us are for being so utterly creative and share our creations with all these nice people here! Thanks again guys!! Jeroen
  5. Hi all, This is an oldie of which my friend René (HartDeco) has made some pictures which do the model much more justice than the pictures that I had taken a while ago. Therefore I would like to present them here. It is the old Hasegawa Japanese F-4E made to a Greek Airforce Toom. Fitted with Aires pit and Icarus decals. Thank you for watching! Regards, Jeroen
  6. If there's anything you want to know, just shout! Reg. Jeroen
  7. Thank you all for your kind comments!! @Flankerman: thanks for pointing that out. If I had know then I would have added those rods. They were not in the kit. There are actually a lot of small errors in the kit which are completely different from the real thing. For example the visor on top of the canopy and the piece under the tail which is much longer in the kit than it's supposed to. To be honest, for me the main goal is to present a great looking model and total accuracy for me comes second, or third.. I could say that I will change these things if I build this baby again, but I doubt this will ever happen. This has been a very challenging piece of work. Have a nice day and be well, Jeroen
  8. Hello guys! As promised in my topic of the Pakistani Thunder I have finally finished the Hokum! There were some 100 stencils to put on so this took some time. But it's done! For this one I used the Italeri kit with Eduard PE set and a Neomega resin seat (which is fantastic btw) and an Armycast resin set which provides pylons and exhausts. I think this is a must have if you are going to build this kit. Also I used the Begemot decalsheet which gives you the choice of 17(!) versions. The kit itself is not a real quickie to build. A lot of putty and sanding went in and quite some fitting issues. But all the more rewarding in the end. Enough said, here come the pictures. I hope you like my alligator A big thank you goes out to my good friend René (HartDeco) for making the pictures! Thanks for looking and have a nice weekend lads!! Regards, Jeroen
  9. Hey guys, As said above, I am looking for the colours of the J-10 in test camo. This is the onje I am speaking of; [/uR Can anyone help me with finding the right colours (preferably Gunze)? Thanks and regards, Jeroen
  10. I have just finished the alligator this weekend and my friend René (HartDeco) and I will be making some good pictures next weekend and I will post them after that is done. It is not black however, it is camouflaged tan/green with a blue underside. Reg. Jeroen
  11. The PE set was ok, I didn't use all of it, for example I did not use the pe plates for the instruments on the sides of the pit because the kit details were better and raised where the pe is not. Otherwise no problems except that its quite soft metal. Funny you should mention the J-10 exhaust because I have received this set last week. I have already started the build of the J-10 and I will be going for the early testflight camo scheme. I cannot post a picture from here so I would like to direct you to Google for this. I will post a picture this evening because I really need help in finding the right colors for it. As for the missiles and tanks, These were all advised in the instructions. There were several option of weaponry in the box and I just picked my favorites . And yes, all from the kit. You really should build it because it is a very pleasant kit to build and the fit is excellent. The only bit of struggle was the part for the engine beneath the tail. This needs so sanding to get flush.. All in all thanks for your nice comments and critics and have a nice day!! Reg. Jeroen
  12. Allemachtig, wat prachtig! One of your best. Looking mighty fine my good friend!! Love, Jeroen
  13. Hey Russ, Despite the problems you encountered during the build this little bugger looks mighty fine! Congrats on a great looking finished project! Regards Jeroen
  14. Thanks a million for the credits guys! Reg. Jeroen
  15. "I have also too this project on my helling. But, - I have a little question to you. This is a Hasegawa kit. And do you know, that these kit is about 4mm (1: 1 = 19cm) too short. Do you have the fuselage lengthened behind the cabin?" Are you serious???? 4 mm.... Is your comment really necessary?? Jeroen
  16. @Exdraken: no problem at all. I can only say respect to you for seeing all these things. You are just well informed I have another hase draken in the stash, will try to keep the pitot intact on that one "LOL" Reg. Jeroen
  17. This is not a scooter, this is an airplane!
  18. @exdraken: i found a picture of a Draken with these 4 tanks so I ordered a pair of extra resin tanks from Maestro models. These are just resin castings of the hasegawa tanks, but without the hassle of sanding, etc. And the pitot... It was there, I drilled the hole, fitted the Master pitot and then it broke off at the final stage. That's the big trouble with metal parts. There is no way to drill into the metal which is still in the plastic after things break off... Reg. Jeroen.
  19. Thank you all very much for your nice words. This really keeps me going!! Regards, Jeroen
  20. hey there, first of all; thanks a lot for your kind reactions. @Mark; I primarily use Gunze paints, they are an absolute joy to work with @Joachim; I think you are absolutely correct. In fact I only saw the crudeness of the preshade once I saw the pictures. I still need to make the rockets for the open pylons so I need to go in again and additionally I maybe can try and dull these lines somewhat. Reg. Jeroen
  21. Thanks a lot everyone! I appreciate it a lot. @Janremco; for the panellines I use Mig Productions dark wash, real superstuff. I use it for everything, even missiles. Reg. Jeroen
  22. Hello again, Was making pictures of the JF-17 Thunder which I posted just now. I thought I might as well post my previous project also. Here is my Hasegawa J-35 Draken in 1/48th scale. For extra's I used Two Bobs decals for this one, an Aires pit (which actually fits very well!!) and an Aires exhaust. Here come the picca's: Hope you like her! Have a nice day! Reg. Jeroen
  23. Hello lads! I have finished another project of which I would like to share the end result with you guys. It was an unfinished project which I picked up again during the build of the KA-50 Hokum by Italeri which is waiting for me to apply about 100 stencils, hence the delay.. This little Trumpeter kits went together so incredibly well and really was a joy to build. Fitment was excellent and details are staggeringly good. Such a pity that there is no Aires pit available, I like those. I decided to use the Dreammodel detailset instead. I also knew that the ngine in this plane is the same engine as the one fitted in the Mig-29 so I dropped in an Aires Mig exhaust. This fits like a glove! But enough said, here are the pics. Hope you like her :-). Have a nice day! Jeroen
