  1. hahahaha dear Homebee you are very fast! I painted this box art too! I am surprised how you locate them cos in Trumpeter's official webb site, still have the computer image, where here you post the actual box art! I did not know about that link you posted above!! I did 5 box art images for Skywarriors! Have a nice day!!
  2. Hello there Flarpen!! Thank you for the comments! Yes, Hobby Boss sends me some information on the subject they want me to work, and of course they send me the markings that they want to include in the kit! After that i do my own search throught my books and webb sites, plus a few good friends that help me out woth their very good knoleages! Then i work on the lay out image! They let me propose ideas and they pick the one they like most! Now, some times new information comes along long time after i had finished the box art, (it happend a few times) and maybe some of my work seems wrong! Or maybe it is if the new data are so clear! No one is perfect!!! I have painted box art images 4 years ago and they have not been released as yet!! I really like Swedish Airplanes and i do have a friend in Sweden who provides me with clues!! I'll be glad to answer anything else you want!! All the best!!
  3. Dear Mattlow, hello! Yes you are correct! I did this box art and those days i wan painting it i was always telling Hobby Boss people that the markings are for the A-2a version! However they did not mentioned anything else so i continued to paint it as it was! Maybe they found info proving your correct comments about changing nose during field maintenance or operational needs! i do not know! I had so few info! But surelly it was an A-2a airframe under these markings!! Thanks for your corrections!!!!
  4. This painting was done with Acrylics on board and not PC programs! I used real aircraft good photos to get the dimentions so they are correct! I also used, as it is right with the F version, the dog tooth wing and the rare Austrian Recce configuration!! I hope the kit to be as good a it can be to please Modellers worldwide!! Hobby Boss engineers are responsible for that!! All the best Kostas Kavvathias
  5. You are right Laurent! The F version had the dog tooth wing! So the image used by Hobby Boss is wrong! Strait wing had the early A/B versions!!!! Have a nice day!!!
  6. hello there! I painted this box art and i used real images of the aircraft so the shape is correct and not weird! Have a look in J-29 images in that particlular angle and you'll see what i mean! Now as for the understores, there are not any, just the pylons!! Now...if the kit is going to be correct or not, you can ask the Hobby Boss people about that! Let us hope it will be! I am only resposible for the box art!! Have a nice day!! Tha's right exdraken it is the rare Austrian recce configuration!! All the best!
  7. indeed great work!!!! Magic!!!!
  8. another very good effort!!! Well done!!
  9. Very nice indeed Gray!! Fireballs rarely have been used as paintings of any kind! So your pick was a very good one!!!
  10. Dear Houston, it is a very nice honour for me that your sister likes my effort in Avaition art!! She is an artist and her opinion is really important to me!!!Please thank her on my behalf! Thank you also for the nice comments!! I wish you all the very best!!!!
  11. Dear ClashCityrocker, thanks very much for thenice comments! HAF, (hellenic Air Force) was created in 1911 and since then it has been using a lot of different types!! Thanks again!!
  12. Dear Gray, thank you very much for the nice comments! Have a nice time!!!! All the best!!!
  13. Dear Fellow Aviation artists and fans hello! I am posting here the second video a friend of mine prepared for me on you tube about my work in aviation art! This time most of the images depict mainly box art images i did for the Chinese Model Companies of Trumpeter and Hobby Boss!! I hope you'll enjoy it!! All the best!!
  14. Also here the box art was drawn by me! Before the critic machine starts...the actual camouflage and markings belonged originally to a P-61B version, but Hobby boss i think did maybe a deal with the Museum that owns this C machine with the original markings of the B version of the P-61!!! All the best!! This is the one i am refering about!! https://travelforaircraft.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/blog-p-61-img_63211.jpg
  15. Dear Tiger 331....nothing is wrong with your eyesight!! Hahahahahaha!! For reasons uncnown to me, Hobby Boss erased the Turret from the P-61A Skippy/Nocturnal Nemesis, although when they commioned me to paint it's box art, all the data that was send to me, plus my own search, proved that this particular P-61 had an upper turret!! I did send them again all those info, and informed them about it!! I do not know what they are going to do! I feel ok because i did my work in the best possible way!!
  16. I have painted the box art for the 127, 200 and red arrows hawks! I really enjoy them cos this airplane is really beautifull!! Now, how accurate the kits are, i am not aware! After all i am sure there are a lot of prolific modellers here to judge that! All the best!!
  17. Please exept my good remarques about your nice painting Terry!!!
  18. Unfortunatelly some times they at Trumpeter-Hobby Boss Models, act differently dispite the info i send them! I had a few issues with the Skywarrior box art images, plus a few other subjects! For some reason unknown to me, they still ensist on the wrong information!! Thanks Julien!!
  19. Here is my original box art image!! https://www.scalemates.com/kits/319497-hobby-boss-81730-us-p-61a-black-widow
  20. It is a mistake by the Chinese!! I did paint the box art of the Skippy/Nocturnal Nemesis with a turret! I am sure they erased it in their designing room!! I do not know why they did that! I thought the pureness was referring to the Swing Shift Skipper!!!
  21. Dear The Pureness, i painted this box art, plus the box art of the A version! The P-61B'' Swing Shift Skipper'' was a turretless airframe! Now if that was like this form the factory,or was done in the field,i am not aware! If you have a search in the Web, you'll find images that prove what i inform you!!
