Great first build,I agree with previous post, not being as steady hand and because I use acrylics I overpaint and cut back gently
with a cocktail stick on raised frames.Hope you keep posting!

Hi Steve,
From all accounts anti fouling red would seem to be the correct colour. try here for more info. www.ptboats.org
Thanks for the info Tony, I have gone for that option. The boat is finished and I hope to post soon
Steve.

brilliant finish!

Just seen the new boxing in store, excellent artwork and choice of decals,I love this kit despite its shortcomings,Now I am a big fan of"new" Airfix
but it cannot understand the logic of tooling the Gloster Javelin rather than a new hurricane in 1/48.you can bet it will sell around the £35-£45
mark as opposed to say £18-£20 for the hurricane.
I,m sure the javelin will be up there with the vixen in quality and sell Well so good luck Airfix.

Now that has done this old kit justice!

Lovely build!

Fantastic collection John,

Very nice indeed, are we looking at the last" manned" aircraft this country will fly?
-
Two lovely builds there!

Is it me or can I remember revell paint bottles that had sort of squared off sides?,my local newsagent sold Revell and the hardware shop Airfix.

HI folks help needed.I am building the revell classic pt 109 as a break from aircraft.the instructions have her colour
as olive grey overall with grey below the waterline is this correct as I have seen these boats finished with a sort of
brick red colour underneath. I understand the kit is not accurate to the real PT109 but I would like to get the colour
right.thanks Steve.
