  1. Late in finding this WIP you have done a remarkable job so far, excellent! the spitfire and hurricane must be the kits i build forty odd years ago you have done them proud.
  2. Thanks Martin, I bought tamiya clear green and had a practice on the clear intakes brushing and it was a disaster so I will try spraying them.
  3. Lynx latest, two issues have arisen very poor fit of the four part German nose but worked out ok and idiot builder attached RN version,s wheel legs at the wrong angle so they point inward,so said idiot will have to cut them off and re-attach!Still a very enjoyable build should have them primed in the next day or so but dreading the tinting the top cockpit glazing.
  4. Funny thing my 13 year old son keeps asking me when will I finish that mustang (Passion Wagon) never normally takes that much interest!
  5. Another closely related item and not wanting to get too far away from Graeme,s question what AEW platform will protect them, if any?
  6. Lovely build and brilliant original photograph
  7. Interesting question Graeme,I suspect the answer will be by helicopter I can see no way we can afford to develop a new aircraft without partners and there are none out there with a need for such an aircraft,If our carriers are configured for cat/trap then the american Greyhound possibly on lease may be the answer, how about the V22 Osprey?
  8. Nice one, seems like a good range of kits for a quick finish.
  9. Saw mention of the Airfix 1/72 Bansee the other day and remembered it was in its time a very good kit and find it strange it has not been released for years anyone know the reason for this?also the last time I saw their SR 53 It was in a poly bag! although some may not relate to the cold war period can anyone else think of any "lost" Airfix kits?
  10. Nice one, you,ve done an old kit justice!
  11. Excellent job, superb weathering love a spitfire in invasion stripes.
  12. Thanks Tony,I will modify that area,I used squadron white putty for the first time seems fine. Straight from the box just a dark wash and dry brushing to pick out the detail.
  13. Main components together very difficult plastic to work as far as glueing is concerned but fit of parts excellent only filler so far on the caps that cover the screw holes and a large gap at the front of the wing/ fuselage join.
  14. Great build in itself but that seascape is one of the most realistic i have ever seen, brilliant!
