  1. Many thanks Jean, the codes on the sheet are as you say horrendous but once off the backing sheet vastly improved and as you can see look OK. The same applies to their tempest, there was a post in the RFI section a few months ago where the builder mentioned the over long U/C legs but I have it on the shelf with Airfix,s new Typhoon and it looks OK.So go on get building and enjoy!
  2. Lovely choice Rob,watch the separate wheel hubs and the leg to wheel joint very very tight fit especially if pre painted.
  3. Here,s the progress so far,Airfix provide a very good interior with this kit and after a dry brush and wash I,m happy that it looks busy enough.
  4. Well after my jumping the gun on Wednesday here,s the painted interior as anyone who has built this kit knows there is no detail at all in the cockpit other than the seat.
  5. Thanks Giorgio glad you mentioned the wheel wells, most models on the net have the aotake finish but colour photo,s of real aircraft(many restored) are in the under surface colour of the aircraft.
  6. Yea,thats the set I want, got six builds out of their BoB set so well worth the money.
  7. Superb job, painting and details look excellent.
  8. Great build and finish, well photographed too!
  9. Cracking little build Stew, wish I had,nt got rid of that sheet of Swastikas now since airfix are releasing some great Luftwaffe subjects.
  10. It,s a great little kit,and you,ve done it justice.Great scheme too
  11. Have to agree with Jessica looking at all the info on the net the real aircraft I have seen seem to have interior green paintwork, but modellers seem to finish them in black and even a metalic silver blue which I know the wheel wells were finished in so I am going the interior green route.
  12. Hi folks,as a second entry I would like to do Airfix,s recent Zero.I have had this kit over a year and cut everything of the sprues and just never got any further,I have been looking around for reference photos etc and on this very site found navy birds superb build with yellow undersides so may go that route but be warned I intend an over the top wear and tear finish which many will reel back in horror from!
  13. Thanks,Stew, certain to build more waiting for new decals to come out for raf versions and really want to do Finnish version,as you know it really is a superb little kit with some great schemes.
  14. Evening folks,my first go at the new tool Hurricane and what a lovely kit airfix have given us,as soon as I saw the Belgian markings I had to do this version.I sprayed the under surface but brushed on the rest many thanks for looking.
