  1. Morning folk's not overly obvious in the photo but some panels were picked out in different shaded then a couple of gloss coat's brushed on for washing and decals.
  2. Hi folk's had a few issue's with this one which has delayed it's finish.I rattle canned the matt coat outside on a bit of a cold day which I think was the reason it dried milky white in places so re-glossed ready for another attempt, fitted the rockets which was very fiddly in fact I ended up using dots of superglue.just painting both canopies hoping the open option looks the better we'll see.
  3. Modelling as an artform.Superb work all round and especially depicting the D-day stripes as hand painted which is How they should be I'm as guilty as anyone of masking perfect lines, next time I,ll be brave and have a go!
  4. Many thanks Craig, now I know how it works I think it will look interesting with the canopy open.
  5. For it's age very well presented thinking of even having the pilot figure's too they are quite nice and well posed.
  6. Hi folk's same treatment as the other build two coats brushed on next job will be to mask certain panels for variations on the silver,OD anti glare painted too.
  7. Morning folk's time to split the photo's as each start their respective schemes. Two coats of Mig chrome and nicely drying the wings might need one more I'll see tomorrow when I'm next up in the loft.

  17. Hi folk's,what's one more build in the scheme of thing's? With two silver schemes and the restored warbird Lou iv being done better find time for a OD finished example which will be Missouri Armada.
  18. Hi folk's need some help, just finishing Hobbyboss's 1/48 kit and there is the option of an open canopy which is a five piece affair but no instruction reference to it can anyone post a photo or diagram on how it looks in the open position I can't find any decent photo's and the model photo's show different configurations. TIA Steve.
  19. It really is a very nice kit Craig,it must have created a stir back when it was released,I'm a big fan of the other 1/48 Airfix kits that were released at the same time especially the Stuka. Hopefully James!
  20. Morning folk's.Kit arrived and it was the issue pictured in the introduction, despite the battered box the kit was still bagged in excellent condition but those decals are shot so the big H was checked out and replacements ordered along with the stencils not present on the kits sheet, two schemes mirror the kits with an Australian scheme which also applies to the Mk Vi.
  21. Thank's Mark, brush painting her but trying a few different metal finishes this time.
  22. Yea Steve that debate has raged for year's despite members of the ground crew who stated that no blue was ever applied the one suggestion was RAF green was used as tins of the stuff were lying around the well known colour photo added to the myth which some say was caused by the quality of the wartime colour film,we'll never know.
