Evening folk's,well I've been a member here since 2013 but I reckon this might be only my second posting in RFI,the fact that four years has elapsed since this kit was started until finishing it today may be a clue why! As a person who's only form of transport for many years was a motor bike modelling them has not been a thing I'm interested in which is a shame as they really look great on display,This was finished thanks to the KUTA GB. Brush painted and most of the chromed parts were overpainted especially the engine which doesn't look right all shiny.

Hi folk's with @JOCKNEY and @AdrianMF carrying the flag of the old kits brigade I'm free to cover the 190 via my favourite series of kits by Hobbyboss so with the paultry price of 17 quid shelled out on KK three examples are on the way.Two variants of the A-8 to be built here with two very different schemes and a new thread for the long nosed D.See you next week!

Many thank's Ian,my Katana was originally all red but an auto painter friend did a red and white paint job on her and fitted a lovely twin headlamp fairing on for me she was a real beauty I sold her for peanuts as my eldest son had arrived we were strapped for cash and I needed a car for obvious reasons!Still hurt's to this day!

Hi folk's having been beaten into the gallery by my own son I wiped away the tears and plodded on with the Banshee, sprayed Sea Blue then the leading edges brushed in Vallejo aluminium I gave her a coat of gloss and battled with the old decal's which after leaving to dry overnight will recieve a final coat to seal them in.

Morning folk's might crack on later but I was flicking through the instruction book and had genuinely not looked at the colour references for the decal's so was taken aback that the SW-S codes were for an a black night fighter version which drew my interest so maybe another on of these kits is on the cards at a later date. I would love to build a 607 County of Durham Sqn. machine they operated the MKii for a time after the BoB till mid 1941 but photo's of their Hurricanes are as rare as hen's teeth and I think they were bomb carrier's too. -

Hi folk's here's the wing photo's.you can see the tabs on the outer wing. so the trailing edge tabs click into place first then by twisting the leading edge up and pushing inwards it clips into place closing what was up to then a big gap. the small block of plastic flush against the wheel well wall is what causes the gap issue but clicks nicely into place with the twist. flip it over and the join just looks like a panel line thats how good it is.- 86 replies

Never an issue Troy glad to have your knowledge and enthusiasm on board, now on that subject of the lower wing assembly I did a dry run and finally thought Gotcha Revell ! the first big issue at last but no once again they've played a blinder. The join consists of three tabs on the outer wing with holes in the centre corresponding with three "pins" on the centre part, the join looked awful till I realised to push the rear pins in place and twist the leading edge which clicks the small cut out which is part of the wheel well nearest to the u/c leg and push the last pin in and hey presto you get a flawless join,I'll stick a photo on soon showing the parts in detail. -
Hi folk's,gone together well just a little filler along the wing joints needed then grabbed a bottle of Gray to prime as a base for the sea blue.

Evening folk's last update for now, more that'll never work moments come and gone as the rather complicated wheel well unit went without a hitch and the top engine covers never fit theory went out the window as it was perfect! Note the clear part which needs to be masked over two small inspection windows.- 86 replies

Many thank's Ritchie, hopefully Mike will get his hands on a Review sample and you can see the sprue's up close to appreciate the quality, there are some accuracy issues as @Troy Smith has pointed out but nothing that can't be easily sorted or lived with by us modeller's my main praise goes for the methods Revell have used to solve the fitting of the component's more on that as we move onto the wing and underside's certainly it's been a breeze up to this point. -
Hi folk's this was not on the cards for this GB or any other till now,I picked it up off E-Bay three or four years ago for a tenner but the decal's were shot and it's taken till now from about the same time for Caracal to release three sets of decals for this aircraft so dusted it of and ordered a set which includes a great scheme which will become apparent.First the box and contents. As for the scheme one of the sheets had a superb China Lake Navy test version matching Monogram's Panther built a few years ago and winging their way from Hannants.

Thank's Mike and Adrian,Revell really need to take a bow over the way this kit has been thought out, every time I look at some of the construction method's and think there will be an issue I'm proved wrong with thing's just clicking into place beautifully without being "over engineered"- 86 replies
