  1. Great to see this reviewed Mike I'm on with it now and a very pleasurable build it is proving to be I'll pop a link in so folks can see the parts in all their glory.
  2. None of them are bad to be honest. True Col probably be Italeri's rebox.
  3. Evening folk's thank's to the KUTA GB I finally finished the Honda 750 that was languishing in it's box and realised just how smart these bike kits look. Taking advantage of my LMS's 20% off Tamiya picked up the Virago for well under £20,back in the late 70's early eighties I always wanted the custom versions of the bikes on offer but price and other priorities got in the way.The nearest I got was Kawasaki's 250 which served me well for commuting and a memorable trip to the TT's with the wife. Anyway here's the nearest I'll now get. Built the first half dozen stages to date. I'll be delighted if she turns out as nice as the Honda.
  4. Evening all the promised update, now this stage has caused the only issue's so far only in as much as a good few dry runs were needed and a little trimming here and there but tonight she's drying nicely just behind the tape on the nose you can see a small gap which will need filler as will the wing root which has a minor gap. On the other side we have a lovely tight wing root fit but an awful gap on the leading edge however there's no step so filling should cause no issue's. Now make your own mind up about the dihedral but here's a front view.
  5. Hi folk's.Decals arrived and beautiful they are three sheets in total and leaving me in a quandry as the Sea Blue schemes look superb but the China Lake scheme is the intention I bought them with the intention of picking up another kit in the future so both will eventually get built but we'll see when the build starts.
  6. Hi folk's while the airbrush was out this one got it's interior parts sprayed the appropriate colour.
  7. Hi folk's built to ease myself into the Salty Sea Dog GB a simple stick it and paint it quickie build of the Banshee surely a contender for the Classics range? Decal's posed a few problems due to age as it was a 1970's boxing but got there in the end. Thanks for looking in.
  8. Many thank's Fritag yes I wake up in a sweat thinking of the accident and a few other spills back in the biking day's,playing nurses for a week or two so no progress on this one till yesterday with the joining of the wing to fuselage which was a bit of a challenge report in later today.
  9. Hi folk's,Banshee done time for number two build this will be a bit more serious as we have a kit screaming to be done well so more effort for this one.here's the fuselage with the front pieces added and the base cockpit parts assembled.Superb detailing here should look great under paint.
  10. Hi folk's 1st build finish and the not so serious but still a blast build done Airfix's Banshee.
  11. Excellent job and a good collection gathering.
  12. A common issue Dennis their Wildcat Is very poor in this area.gDry ran this one seems a little tweak should do the trick.
  13. Nice on Jes I love a touch of modelling madness!
  14. Hi folk's kits arrived same comments as the D model not sure what differences between these two in the real world but the kits are identical.Nice to see HB supply swastika's as my sheet is now exhausted as far as 1/72 goes planning the two box top schemes.
  15. Hi folk's kit's arrived not seen this one before but well versed in the easy-kit format, simple construction nice fine detail's lovely decal sheet,I was planning the red underside scheme which is still the plan if I can sort some white striping.
  16. Evening folk's,nearly there now, just leaving the U/C to dry overnight then a final check for any touching up should be good for the gallery tomorrow.
  17. Always a head turner Pete what's not to like about the Cutlass?
  18. Beautiful machine RW,I ran four in the year's I rode my favourite was Suzuki's GT750 similar to this one a conversation piece wherever you went!
  19. Afternoon folk's delighted that the Honda finally got finished after four or so year's time for another stalled build from a mere two years ago. It's the lovely Tamiya P-47 Razorback which to be honest should be a breeze to finish as 75% is done.
  20. Many thanks Eric just decided on another long overdue kit in the stash This time a helicopter project.
  21. Yes Adrian it's all six million Dollar man stuff now we,re hoping it's only on for six month's not the worse case one year.
  22. You know looking at that photo I know every nook and cranny of it still it opened up a whole new world for me at the time new friend's and travel I'd think nothing of riding from Durham to the lakes and did Dunbar Scotland a good few times even with the wife on the back and a tank and saddle bags not bad for a 200cc!We did the Isle of Man on my KH250 but when I moved to big bikes never did a single big journey!
  23. Many thank's Ian,I wouldn't mind another go but like you not really into racers and sports stuff Tamiya's Virago interest's me and Aoshima do a few bike's as I recognise them I suppose folk's looking at my bikes from the 70's 80's view them as I viewed Norton and Triumph's back then!My first bike was this one(not mine but same model/colour)£700+ brand new three years on tick LOL but it was a real eyecatcher back in 79.
  24. Many thank's N,mixed the colour to a 250 my mate owned not quite silver not quite gray! Many thak's RW,really enjoyed getting her finished this week might go the Bike route for the comfort zone GB.
