Evening all, well I finally plucked up the courage to start the weathering she looked so good in the black finish but I wanted to slightly do some wear and tear.I restricted it to breaking
up the mono finish passing over the airframe with NATO black then after nearly cocking the exhaust staining up finally got it to a point where I'm happy enough.once glossed and decalled
and when she;s re-matted I'll try some weathering pencils.

Thank's folk's glad you're enjoying the build hopefully you are happy with the upper dark gray, just broke up the solid colour with a few passes on low power plan to repeat it on the undersides.

Well I have the big 1/32 Me262 in the stash but looking over the sprue's and the twisted fuselage might hold off till another time,I'm leaning towards a couple of Hasegawa 1/72
offering's especially the Fuji trainer which I've wanted to build for a long time now also in the mix would be the Grumman Panther and Tiger and another two seater Skyhawk.

Shaping up nicely Stew and that pilot figure is superb and a great addition to gauging the size of this beast.Good luck with the rest of the build.

Hi Folk's I'll be joining in with something a bit different for me,nothing in the stash so trawling around E-bay I set a limit of £20 for something suitable pleasantly suprised to get a kit I'd quite
fancied for a while and coming in at just under budget which included delivery at £18:75 is this beauty.
Inside is the 1990's Academy kit which still stands up well.

Great choice Dave nice to see the classic kit Flag flying, built one for the Heller GB, faultless fit and finish for it's age.

Great choice . The decals make it hard to stop at one . No 2 looks great too.

Thank's Martin,I sat and thought which scheme to do and in the spirit of why I bought the original kit decided on option 2 as firstly the colourful options are for the F3 as well
so I thought maybe in the future seek out the much more accurate Kittyhawk kit to lavish the colour scheme on so primed in black then brush painted Tamiya Sea Blue over two coat's
then three thinned brush coat's of Humbrol glosscoat and she's shining beautifully!

Anyway, good luck with this one, are you going to make the GSE as well?
Thank's for the serial explanation Wez,yes I plan to build a diorama time permitting.

Hi folk's when I ordered the Ocean Hawk for just over a fiver I added this kit as well,It's an easy kit which is a great way of getting to the paint stage without
the faf! These kit's now come in an end opening box which now has the instruction's and colour scheme's on the back.
As you might expect not a great deal of parts but as always nicely moulded.

Hi folk's I'm a big fan of HB's 1/72 Helicopter range having built a good few they are nicely detailed and don't cost a fortune either.this one is new to me
but very nice indeed with two really colourful markings on what would be a dull gray scheme.
As I said very nicely moulded and detailed.Got a couple of builds to bring home before getting round to this one yet.

Hi folk's my first Esci F1 since the kit was first released many moons ago.I got it of e-bay for 15 quid last year so time she was built.
molded in tan plastic with fine recessed panel lines.
Ground support equipment with crew and pilot figure as well a big chunk of vac formed tarmac is supplied.
Looking forward to this one plenty of time to build it as for this GB only this one planned.

Is the mottling done by brush, sponge or airbrush? It looks well I might add.
Thank's Marklo, airbrush for the mottling sadly I'ts not the best in this scale being a dirt cheap Chinese one but Ideal for most of what I need to airbrush on other projects.

Hi folk's decal,s went on fine but had issue's with the walkway pair between fuselage and engine's. They were very thick and just would not settle on the rivet detail so I shaved of the rivet's with a scalpel sanded and repainted the area.
