Hi folk's,gonna build this kit as not only were they based at times on NATO duties but they were used by member countries too.I did have a crack at this one
when first released but made a hash of it hopefully with a better grasp of metalic finishes this one will be different, kit is ordered this is the boxing and
the 75th fighter squadron scheme which carried it's sharkmouth markings from the P-40 through the Sabre,Voodoo,Corsair and A-10
Warthog's will be built at the time they were tasked with the defence of the US mainland.

Great work Jari and I like your thinking with this nod to equipment available at NATO's begining's when we could have fought a war more akin the the one that had just ended
rather than the Nuclear threat we grew up with later.Airfix just can't put a foot wrong with their family of newer tool Spitfire/Seafire kits in this scale.

Hi folk's,so glad I took up this build again it's coming together nicely masked the red areas where no decal is supplied next job will be the wing leading edges before glossing.
All the wheels and u/c are done so even though the GB is nearing it's conclusion I think I will have time to mask and paint the Red/White and Green underside's.

Coming along a treat ED,much prefer the painted undersides and glad that nose panel did'nt give you any trouble inspiring me to push on with mine now thanks!

Morning Folk's,took another look at the horrible shape of the nose due to the poor fit of the panel forward of the windshield got the filler out and over the last coupe of days
gradually corrected the shape so with that done the primer is on and I reckon using the decals for the underwing,s and rattle can for the finish I can get this kit across the line
and done as she deserves, fingers crossed!

Very nice choice Steve It’s another definitely on my to do list. Along with the other types of the era. The buffalo, Vindicator, Hell-diver(bi-plane), Devestator, and the early Curtiss, Grumman, and Vought bi-planes. I hope to do a piece of a carrier deck to photo both these ⬆️ and also my USS Essex 1945 builds.
A great era of aircraft modelling Dennis, happy memories of Airfix's Devastator build when I was a kid,if I didn't need to get my 1/32 Helcat used from the stash a yellow wings Wildcat
would have been on the cards for the US Navy GB.

Morning folk's,built for the Mustang GB I thought as Lou IV is being built exactly as it should be by others taking part mine would be based on a restored Warbird
in the colours we'd really like to think she was in,all brush painted and the rear cockpit removed for the second seat for the paying passengers! Many thanks for
looking in.

Cheers,
Mark
Many thanks folk's might need one more coat on the yellow wing this area I'm spraying rather than brushing, once done as with the fuselage it needs masking for the red bands.

We don't see that many P-35s being built Steve, so a particularly nice choice!
Never built this aircraft before Cliff so
Looking forward to it.

Looks really good! I’ve never seen the upper Stars and Bars on the starboard wing before, is it that way on the real warbird?
Edit, never kind I see that you’ve seen that
Corrected now Mark, I,ve only done the same on Missouri Armada to!!!!!

Good afternoon Steve
Sorry but the stars on the top should be the left wing and not on the right wing ...
I hope you can
Patrice
Phew thanks Patrice I can sort it as I,ve spares.

Hi folk's had a struggle but replaced the original wing star with a spare and got the silver decal cut to match the star as on the real aircraft,I also noticed these restored warbirds
have later clipped props (maybe from old F-51's)?Not a great deal left to do now especially as no weathering needed.

Morning folk's good progress with no issues, that large glass panel worried me so I thought as the wing to fuselage join needs no filler I would paint both then slip the glass in before joining
them together.
