  1. Ok, finally home and have had a look for myself. Got to say that compared to the old kit I'm really impressed. I do agree that there are some omissions and moulding isn't perfect in some areas but on the whole I'm impressed for the very little money that I paid for it. Troschi, a quick question for you. Would you know if the Eduard paint masks will fit the new tool kit? Paul
  2. I don't know if you are sorted yet but just seen that Lidl are going to be selling these from 20th Jan. No idea how good they will be but I'm going to get myself one and see. http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/SID-3E0CB314-D440873B/www_lidl_uk/hs.xsl/our-offers-2491.htm?action=showDetail&id=9187 Paul
  3. Looking fab! I am following this with great interest. The engine looks really good and I'm looking forward to see how the mould turns out. My first every flight of any form was in a Lynx when I was a mere slip of a boy in the Army and for that reason the Lynx has always held a special place in my heart. I have a 1:48 Airfix AH7 kit I was given for Christmas so this GB is giving plenty of inspiration! Paul
  4. Oh, that's a bit of a shame. Like you say I would have thought with the amount of time in development and the wait we've all had there wouldn't be such obvious deficiencies. I agree that I would have gladly paid more for better quality. I guess I'll have to withhold judgement properly until I get home in the new year and have a proper look, taken the wind out of my sails a bit. Thanks for your review though. Paul
  5. I bought one and it arrived at my home today! Only downside is I'm away til the new year. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
  6. Happy Days, I know what I'll be asking Santa for Christmas. Pity I'm working away on a ship til the New Year. Something else to look forward to on getting home though. Thanks Troschi!!
  7. Sooo, we're approaching the end of November. I wonder if they are still on track for December release in time for ?
  8. Looks great, really looking forward to getting this now. The wait is getting to be almost unbearable! Paul
  9. Loving this GB and really like the progress on your build. How are you getting on? Paul
  10. Sorry to hear of the nightmare this build turned in to Steve. Any news on the rebirth? Paul
  11. Beautiful. I'm in awe! Thanks for the thread Paul
  12. Just read this thread from the start and now up to date. I'm really enjoying this build! Thanks! Paul
  13. Nooooooo! I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, I'm really hoping it is anyway Paul
  14. Loving the progress. Great work and looking forward to seeing it continue! Paul
  15. Hi Duncan, Could you give me an idea of over what period of time/usage the parts became worn. My friend and I are looking at getting a new airbrush and we were looking at the Neo, but as you say, if the parts wear pretty quickly then it could turn out to be a false economy. Thanks Paul
  16. Wow, comprehensive changes Looking forward to it's release even more now! July you say (marking calendar) Thanks very much for taking the time to write such a detailed post. Really appreciate it Paul
  17. Hi Troschi, Thanks for the update, looking forward to getting my hands on it. What are your thoughts on the windscreen? Does it fit better/easier than the previous kit? Also have they corrected the blade direction? Paul
  18. Surely it can't be long before the new kit gets released now?! I keep looking in anticipation lol Paul
  19. Cheers Paul, I did see that kit and thought I could build the 105 and 135 as the old and new air ambulance, and the 117 is currently in use as the police heli down this way. Having said that I think its a bit difficult to get hold of now as it's out of production, I've been looking around and not found it yet. Paul
  20. Thanks for all your help all, I'll just bite the bullet and add one to the stash, hopefully the skills will improve and in the meantime it'll be there waiting for me Cheers Paul
  21. Hi Jessica, Is the police kit that I've found, 12003, a rebox of the tiger? I can see that I'm going to have a lot to do from scratch, not sure I quite have the skill for that yet . Do you know of any other BO105 kits out there? Needs to be 1/32 as it will hopefully become the original Cornwall Air Ambulance sat next to it's modern replacement. Thanks very much Paul
  22. Hi All, As per title really, I am looking around for a 1/32 BO 105 as a follow up build for the (yet to be started ) EC135 Cornwall Air Ambulance. I've found the Italeri kit and wondered if anyone here had experience of the kit or had any recommendations for a different kit. I've had a look around on this forum but haven't found any more info. Thanks! Paul
