  1. Interesting to read this. My father was co pilot to Cruickshank prior to being promoted to pilot and was then transferred to Ceylon and then Korangi Creek in what was then India.

I gather Pheon are considering doing a decal sheet so the Shark might be included in it.
  3. What a stunning build. I have this kit but I can't see it being a patch your excellent rendition.
  4. This is a really excellent build. I've been following it for a while as I've just started the same kit myself. If it gets to be half as good as yours I'll be a happy bunny. I shan't be going for all the PE stuff though. I don't play well with them so mine will be a somewhat sparse Beaufort.
  5. I would certainly be interested in this when it becomes available.
  6. T/34/85s from Armourfast seem to be favourite for first timers. I've not tried to be that accurate in this just wanted to get a feel of making a tank and all that goes with it. I've addded some detail not included in the kit and I hope I've got the slogan on the turret the right way up!!. All comments welcome no mater how damning. Don't be shy. I'm not
  7. If that's your first effort I'm looking forward to when you really get the hang of things. That is very impressive .
  8. Quality workmanship and that camo is just the bees knees!!
  9. Not as scary as a Churchill Crocodile though.
  10. Cracking model. I've just finished an Airfix one and I wish it was as good as yours
  11. Rob, as a matter of interest did you leave the headlight off intentionally or like me did you not see it on the instructions? I was about to throw the sprue away when I saw it nestling looking like an bit of excess plastic.
  12. Very nice effort. I'm just starting on my first tank and it's also the same as yours. I'm trying to get some Eureka towing cables for it to add some detail to its somewhat sparse exterior. I have found some patriotic slogans to go on later. I'll probably use Vallejo Russisn green and then weather it. Yours has inspired me and the pictures are excellent. Well done.
  13. Very nice rendition of a very pretty plane.
  14. I've just bought some Akan paints from Martin. Very quick to dispatch and very helpful
  15. A spat of spitfires. Very nice indeed. I'm just making the Marchbox version. Hope it's as good as the ones here.
  16. Just completed this after an earlier disaster of spraying in very hot weather where the paint was drying before settling. Still several things wrong but I'm slowly heading in the right direction. Well at least I hope I am Markings are from inSCALE depicting the 75A of LeLv32 in June 42
  17. Fantastic. For a moment I thought it was real. I'm just building a Monogram 1/72 Bearcat. It won't be a patch on yours though.
  18. A couple of lovely kits there and hard to believe they're in 1/72. Just making the Airfix PR Mk XIX myself. I like what you've done with it. Given me a couple of ideas when I finish it off.
  19. That is really good work there. Not really into the human aspect of kits but you've done it well. I've just finished the Airfix 109e in Romanian markings. Things didn't go anywhere near as well as yours.
  20. I'd be very happy to have failures like that. As you say research can be the biggest enemy to a modeller. I think they are excellent for all their "faults"
