  1. If I had 10% of your skills I'd be a very happy man.
  2. Your Bf.108 is exceptional but this just appears to be on another level entirely. A phenomenaly good build. Top skills, Sir.
  3. Stunning. I have one of these in my stash, looking at how good yours is has just put me off building it for a year or two more. I need more skills...
  4. That's tremendous. Love the splinter camoflage. Great job.
  5. I've read the entire thread with interest and a growing sense of wonder. As a newbie here I have to ask; Do any of you actually finish painting a model or do you just argue about the colour scheme that it will eventually be painted in? I asked a simple question (I thought) about the VVS camo schemes during the GPW in a different thread and, interesting as all the replies were, it did make me wonder if any models were ever finished or whether the builders were rendered incapable of continuing through sheer indecision.
  6. Really useful links, thanks. Massimo's research appears very complete and it obviously isn't as simple a task as wandering down to my local model shop and having paints ready to be bought off the shelf. I'd like to thank everyone who has posted, the thread's been really informative for someone just getting back into the hobby again. ALL of the links posted have been really useful, not just those in the post I've quoted. Many thanks to all.
  7. Soooo.... No one makes the correct colours because no one knows what the colours are? Right? Bugger it, I'm painting them all white
  8. I intend to model a fair number of Soviet WW2 aircraft (or Great Patriotic War as a Russian would have it). And I'm looking for some advice on one aspect in particular. I'm a brush painter recently returned to the hobby and having his first taste of acrylics (I've been out of the hobby a loooooong time!) however I can't find anything that fits the quite vivid sky blue of the aircraft's undersides in the Tamiya or Revell acrylics range. Have I simply not been looking hard enough or is there something out there from another paint brand that matches? Thanks for your help.
  9. Utterly convincing, utterly beautiful and I'm utterly envious of your skills.
  10. That's an enormous project. Three weeks? That'd take me about six months! Great job.
  11. I have a soft spot for russian aircraft and I really really like what you've done here. Great modelling, well done!
  12. Tremendous. That's a superb representation. Very impressed indeed with the discolouration of the engines.
