  1. "Sloty" are leading-edge slats, and "kozioł przeciwkapotażowy (collapsable goat)" is rollover protection structure, and indeed, "kozioł" literally means "male goat" in Polish. I haven't made research about PZL.23 versions, so I just posted links to discussion, without translating details which I do not know for sure, just telling if somebody is concerned by lack of translation.
  2. The same thing is being discussed on Polish forums here and here. Details seems are explained in No 95 Mini Replika magazine, and seems to be some small modifications added during overhauls.
  3. According to Polish site AW139M and H145M were competitors.
  4. Defiant have additional "weirdness" trait, when Beaufort is absolutely bori... I mean normal aircraft.
  5. Beaufort would mean two new tool twin-engined British bombers from WWII in the same year. I think it is not going to happen.
  6. A variant have 6 bombs in box, but I can't confirm without research, if B variant had more. About possible variants, having B (early) logically means we should get B (late). IBG confirmed on Facebook, that there will be Romanian box too, as far as I known Romanian modified some PZL.23 by mounting MG 81Z on back, that would be nice addition. About PZL.43, it needs at least new engine and hull, and it could be done in two variants, PZL.43 and PZL.43A (different Gnôme-Rhône engine). Some PZL.43A were taken by Polish Army from factory in September 1939 and used by Polish Air Force, so that's additional reason to make it. I don't remember a direct confirmation of PZL.43, but taking into accout what I have mentioned here and fact, that IBG made a single prototype (PZL.42), I'm a optimist here.
  7. Good to see Belarusian paint scheme, because those aren't only grey, but green!
  8. It haven't, but a few countries were interested in buying it, including Finland too I assume. So it is a "what-if" scheme.
  9. I checked it yesterday and it was already blue? Are you taking about single profile, which still have red crosses, or full camouglage scheme, which have blue on plane and red cross with annotation in right down corner?
  10. I doubt Airfix is going now to release two new tool iconic British bombers in the same year. Unless it is in other scale like 1/48., but that would be a huge project.
  11. They also say that they works on more variants too.
  12. Fair point. This was my guess for 2017. Still, Wellington was on top on my these (and 2017) year list There is many people guessing (and dreaming), I just thought, if I assume a few factors, and rewrite Airfix catalogue from awesome database on Airfix Tribute Forum (really god job guys), I may make a list with points in different categories, and sum them up. Wimpy had the biggest amount of those, 19, when next in queue had 16. I still have some ideas how to improve it, but it can wait for 2019. It was fun to going through old Airfix models.
  13. Looks like I have hit the jackpot. So now my count of predicted retools is three. And I'm happy with it. A Coastal Command Wimpy from Polish Sqn. 304 for long time was on my to do list.
  14. I would like to bring some thoughts to the table. Firstly, you mentioned, that Airfix is rather preparing a double versions, than multiple. I think it may a bit to early to be sure about, maybe kits have possibility to more versions being made (even or tooled, if half job is done with CADs), bu Airfix simply takes time. Other thing, which bothers me, is that earlier Airfix keep some older tools afloat, when retooling worn out old ones. But now looks like all older tools are out of range, I wonder if that means younger tools also have the same chance to be retooled. Anyway, those for now are my types to be retooled in 1/72 scale. I mean I don't dare to try predict absolutely new planes. Most probable: Vickers Wellington B.III Sopwith Camel Short Sunderland Supermarine Walrus Mk.II Messerschmitt Me 109F Middle group Bristol Fighter F2B Supermarine S.6B Westland S.55 (Scout) Vought Corsair Blackburn NA.39 Buccaneer And those still probable Albatros D.V Armstrong Whitworth Seahawk R.E.8 Republic P-47 Thunderbolt (razorback) Consolidated Catalina Fairey Battle I guess about 1 or 2 from list about appears, except that I think for example Meteor may be downscaled, British box of Mitchell appears, together with double seat Me-262 nightfighter.
  15. I guess you have make a mistake. This is not box with "Hungarian Air Force" Fw-189, but Axis, because it contain 2 sets for Hungarian planes, and one for Bulgarian Air Force.
  16. Or read this book: On Wings of War: My Life as a Pilot Adventurer (by Jean/Jan Zumbach) I really enjoyed it, book covers wars in Biafra and Congo and much more. Too bad there is no decals for Katangese Dove though. I don't knowfor sure, but for some time firsts DK Decals were also posted on DP Casper site, later they were removed.
  17. Some new wonderful decals sheet from Czech company DP Casper (72028), covering Civil War in Congo.
  18. By the way, is there is a list of new Corgi releases from 2016?. I haven't been interested in diecast models earlier. Denford, I still hope some WWI type may appear, because of 100 anniversary of the Great War end. Corgi released SPAD XIII this year, and this plane match this and was even used by British.
  19. Good to know, I have made a excel file with formula to predict Airfix retools, it worked for 2017, but now I have another factor to add
  20. Fly is planing to release it on autumn, so I guess they will be first.
