Brits abroad - British subjects in foreign markings Chat
Botan replied to Giorgio N's topic in Brits Abroad GB
By the way, Kora models have released decals for Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I in Estonian service. As far as I know, Estonia ordered those, but after start of war deal was cancelled, but it is confirmed, that some Spitfires had Estonian markings already painted on them? -

1/72 - RWD-8 PWS & DWL by IBG Models - released - new boxing
Botan replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Links are broken, they leads to different decals. Anyway, those still do not satisfy Procopius need for scheme with white-red checkerboards. -

Botan replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Why not both? There are still civilian from Palestine and Estonia to be done, after those maybe they will make "September 1939" with Polish Air Force checkerboard? After all I get printed Latvian decals for old ZTS Plastyk kit, so no wonder IBG decided to release Latvian ones too, and because I have Palestinian decals, so in accordance to modellers Murphy's laws IBG have to make them too. -

There was over 2 years break between those new boxes and first ones, I wonder if maybe IBG took that time and corrected wings for example? -
Also British Austin armoured cars were used on Eastern Front by Russians and by other sides, like Austro-Hungary, and including post-WWI conflicts. Austin armoured cars. Ukrainians company Master Box makes Austin Mk IV and Austin Mk III in 1/72 and with very interesting camouflage schemes. I will be making Ukrainian one from 1919.

In that moment there is three GB with 60 votes being on cutoff line, including ours, so every singele vote is important. So I'm just posting some ideas to get more votes: http://Bristol Fighter F.2B in Polish service with Modelmaker decals Exotic Spitfires (Mk.22s) from TigerHead Decals - Rhodesia, Syria, Egypt BAE Canberra in Latinamerican Service, part 1 and part 2. -
Apparently it served in Norway since 1969, so 60's NATO/Warpac
-
Let be honest, there is Pacific, Carriers, Grumman and MTO GB, so sea connected groups pretty well cover that topic anyway. Shackleton could even make it into NATO/Warpac group too.
-
Being a "Brits abroad" supporter is surely exciting with constant hanging above cutoff.
-
On what site? Maybe that one? Hawker Hurricane MkI 1:72 It was out of stock and it is going to be restocked.
-
Apparently Zvezda kit will have 41 parts, that less than Eduard one have, but match Dragon.
-
On scalemates that MiG-15 is linked as a rebox to Dragon MiG-15, and maybe UTI is on picture, but it is named simply as "MiG-15". Could it be just a rebox?

I have bought Airfix Jet Provost with Xtradecals set. Those South Arabian decals are something out of the ordinary. -

Star Decals have nice decals for Iranian ones, not in my scale though: 35-C1050 Iranian Army tanks and AFVs in the 1980s Iraq-Iran War. 35-C1052NLA - National Liberation Army of Iran (Peoples Mujahedin of Iran). -
Italeri "new" (reissue, repop, rebox etc.) in 2017
Botan replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
It's a Bird?... It's a Plane?...No, it's skyrocketing Italeri price! -
Spanish Civil War GB II 33 and STILL growing!
Botan replied to TonyTiger66's topic in Group Build Chat 2020
Instead I would love to see a Interwar wars GB, starting with wars following WWI (Eastern Europe was still in flames a few years after 11.11.1918, but I think whole Russian Civil War could be included), and ending with Sino-Japanese war up to 1941 and Ecuadorian–Peruvian War (also 1941). Maybe then we could make it in poll. -
For sure they managed to surprise us.
-
What about finding a middle ground between "British" and "that famous Fokker" and so giving us a Sopwith Triplane?
