KP/AZ central discussion, questions & answers
Botan replied to Jan Polc's topic in Manufacturer News
Hello Jan Is a camouflage scheme for Polish Bf-108 correct? According to "Polish Wings 8, Poland's captured Luftwaffe Warprizes" that BF-108 was finished with dark Prussian Blue or ultramarine blue lacquer. By the way, Dutch scheme is a very nice addition, I will go for it. -
It was posted in KP thread, that this is a Fly plastic + resin parts replaced by plastic. Anyway, two posts above charlie_c67 said that.

I did. Looks like no AFV next year and no Russian aircraft, bye bye Yak-9. And if Airfix decides to make an Italian plane I hope for something different than SM-79.
-
Catalogue is scheduled on 06/01/2017.

I'm going to join with AFV 1/72 Soviet AT-1 artillery tank from Mirage Hobby

Everybody have such thoughts sometimes, or do not share a opinion of others. I was dreaming about fabric wing Belgian Hurricane and Airfix made me really happy, then I constantly see "why not a metal wing one"? It's a funny feel to be in minority. Anyway it's not a problem to not like a announcement, but is good to practice a positive thinking: "great, I saved moneys and my stash is not getting bigger". As long as a new models brings any improvement to existing range (and this one as early option would do it) is a good. To be honest, from this year new Airfix kits only Me-262 (and only with Czechoslovak option included it may get some priority) and Mitchell II with some exotic camouflage are interesting to me. Not much, but hey I still I have some older Airfix releases on "to buy" list!

The Museum's Yak-9 is one of four original aircraft known. It is the only original Yak-9 on display in the West.

4 new kits in December, a new bits informations about details are being posted. 72031 - Otter Light Reconnaissance Car (decals and parts are shown, plus renderings with PE parts on FB, and inbox review on KFS-miniatures on FB) 72032 - Chevrolet C60S with Holmes breakdown 72034 - Stridsvagn m/39 Swedish light tank (renderings with PE parts on FB) 72037 - TYPE89 Japanese Medium tank KOU - Gasoline, Early Production (2 figures included!) (renderings with PE parts on FB) I see Otter have Polish and Canadian decals.

First of all, I wonder if there is a chance for non-aircraft new tool. Cutting means rather not, but they could have been developing something before cuts and maybe they will carry on such non-aircraft project.

Something quite big in 1/72. Wellington Mk.III, Catalina or B-25 Mitchell. Liberator sounds as possible one too.

1/72 - Spitfire Mk. I, II and V by re-Kovozavody Prostějov (AZ Model)

Those decals are everywhere. Incoming Eduard will have them too. I guess this is the most popular Polish Spitfire. -
It is hard to call them "built on licence", after all Sikorsky is simply assembling their S-70i helicopter in their factory.

Airfix is a company associated with brick and mortar or toys shop, so it simply have to have a Mustang in catalogue. They are a a bit different from more niche modeller companies, which can make living on producing more refine subjects for smaller, but more aware of market, customer base.
-
Isn't a civil Tiger Month is dropped, but military one stay in catalogue? Same as one of two bf 109 or Gladiators.
-
Or they will cover different versions

AZmodel/Legato/Admiral WWII aircraft - comments, questions and wishes
Botan replied to CzechKits.com's topic in Aircraft WWII
Are you going to continue cooperation with Ardpol, and remake more their models, or LVG C.VI is a single case? -
It is a known fact, that KP like to use other companies models for their masters in new technology, Apparently this model is the same case too. From Facebook Well, I hope their cooperation with Ardpol do not end on single plane. I mean Airco DH-9, Curtiss O-1E, RWD-13, P.W.S.-10, Brandenburg B.I and other German two-seaters...

I realised, that French Curtiss H-75 appeared on Martlet artwork, and also on 1/48 Stuka artwork.. Same plane added on two boxes, it can't be a coincidence.

Fortunately people are writing comments. First is Andrea Doria battleship - Taking part in WWI and WWII (Taranto air raid) Second is a Soviet river boat if I'm correct 3rd - probably Conte di Cavour-class battleship 4th - Liberty ship 5th - some transport ship 6th - Scire submarine - quite interesting history, performing attacks in Gibraltar and Alexandria. Voted it. 7th - Brooklyn class cruiser - those served in US Navy, and after war in South America. One of these, the General Belgrano, formerly the USS Phoenix (CL-46), was sunk during the Falklands War in 1982. Voted it. 8th - some unknown modern submarine 9th - Italian MAS torpedo boat 10th - Zara-class cruiser 11th - no idea 12th - some Italian submarine?

Those dark depressing clouds kind of match a nuclear bomber going on mission.
