  1. If you want a really nice large Sky 1 then i recommend the one made by Donald Showalter, have it myself & the quality is fantastic, i'm now waiting for him to finish the master for the Diver section to go with it. https://www.donshoko.com/skydiver/index.shtml
  2. Apologies, but i've only just seen this. You could try a direct e-mail to '[email protected]' but other than that Facebook is the only option that i'm aware of.
  3. This makes a nice change, i'm constantly amazed at the skill of people who build these cardboard models and your work is top notch. I'm a big fan of Wacky races and so is a friend of mine, he has the original design sketch for the Mean Machine on his wall. Following this with interest.
  4. Always nice to see B5 models. I have a couple of these in the stash along with Alain Rivard's STL files for a 1/32 build i plan to do.
  5. Nothing much to see at present, just a very basic CAD drawing. I cant post it here for some reason. Update, it looks like its ready to print now with a 4 week lead time. Still cant post pics though.
  6. Is this Alain Rivard's kit ? I was tempted to go for his 1/32 scale version but was concerned that the postage would be prohibitive, so i was thinking of purchasing the STL files and getting it printed locally but then i would need to find a local company that could print it to the same quality so i've not moved forward on this yet.
  7. Really pleased to see this new section. It's come at just the right moment for me as although you say that we're not at the point of printing our own kits just yet, we actually are. There's a couple of individuals in the states who are designing & printing complete kits (mostly SF related) that are absolutely stunning and would give some injection moulding companies a run for their money. There're quite a few other garage producers putting stuff out as well and to be honest i see more complete kits than i do parts or conversion sets. I personally don't have an interest in learning how to do the design and would more than likely use a third party to get the parts / models i want printed as it's the actual build that's my "thing" but anything learned here with regard to materials etc. will be very useful, watching with interest.
  8. The drive ball looks great, glad the pics helped, also nice to see you've replaced those nasty raised solar panels with more accurate representations.
  9. Very nice build, this is another on my list of studio scale builds to attempt but so far allive managed to do is aquire a couple of sets of "Tiger joe" tracks & wheels. Where did you get the UNCL detail parts, did you contact Bill direct or was it an option with the kit ?
  10. Wow, this is going to be one to watch ! 3D printing is something that i know nothing about other than certain materials require a lot of sanding to remove the ridges caused by the printing process. However, i believe that you can also print in resin which doesn't have the ridge problem, was there a specific reason why you've not gone done this route ?
  11. Pics on their way, good luck on the project, please post updates.
  12. Hi, i have a set of images of the drive section from Martin Bowers's Studio scale Liberator. Ignoring the argument of it's originality it is failtful in it's detailing and i think these will be what you're looking for as photos of the large filming model from back in the day are virtually non existant and Matt's Lib has lost a lot of the engine detail due to it's ditressed condition. Drop me a PM with your details & i'll dig them out for you.
  13. This is now available on YouTube in a slightly better resolution. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RD_rWEQfrA
  14. This was only released in a small part of the UK to "test the water" and I believe is based on the Master Replicas model which in turn was claimed to be "studio model accurate". It's common practice for partworks, a few issues are released and then production is suspended pending review, if they're happy with the sales then it gets a nationwide release a few months later. Not sure why they felt the need to test a Star Wars product as there are plenty of people who would buy anything from that franchise by the crate load.
