  2. Hello David and Patrick, Many thanks for your contributions regarding my questions. The picture in dayglo paint scheme is extraordinair, because it most be one of the first pictures of a complete Atlantic. Could be even before the first test flight was completed. The information as has been shown in all magazines could be very useful for other modelers. So I will try to copy this in an new topc. Many thanks for your responses. Highest Regards, Orion.

  7. Hello Dov, Excellent finish. Regards, Orio / The Netherlands.
  8. Hello Steve, Excellent models. By the way, your flighdeck is massive. I can see already some more AC (Skyraider/ Sea Venom/Wessex S55) harnassed to the deck. You got your worklist cut out. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
  9. Hello Thorfinn, Amazing what you did with this rather small chopper. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
  10. Dear French and Italian Modelers, My article has resolved in some more questions from vieuwers. Questions, that I have no answers for. So here we go: French Modelers Breguet developed four prototypes for the Breguet Atlantic. 2 short and 2 long airframe versions. (Day-Glo painting!) Any pictures regarding these prototypes are most welcome. Italian Modelers The Italian Air Force signed a contract for 18 airframes (+4 for the French Navy). In the contract was included: AirItalia and Alfa Romeo were to be included in the manufacturing of parts for these Italian Air Frames. Any Italian aviation specialist, that can shine some light on what the involvement exactly was from these two companies. As to mention, Alfa Romeo "Very famous Company". Any information is most welcome. Regards, Orion
  11. Hello Pete, Thanks for your kind response. Indeed, I have not seen this model on any model contest show. Yes, one time, the model from the Revell Germany Roadshow. Constructed by a modeller from the company. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
  12. Hello SAT69, Thanks for your very kind response. Much appreciated. These kind of reactions are a boost to get on with the next one. (Martin Mariner diorama Royal Netherlands Navy)
  13. Hello Callahan, Thanks for your response. You did already on e model. I find it very hard, to build a model more than ones. I like to get on with the next one. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands. Thanks Mike. Your respnse is very much appreciated. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
  14. Hello Miguel, Thanks for your kind response. Indeed, I know some modelers who started with the kit, but never finished it. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
  15. Hello Dolphin, Thanks for responding to my article. Much appreciated. I had the same problem. The very intimidating boxart was looking at me from the shelf since 2011. But after reading some interesting articles regarding this aircraft, I grabbed the box and started with the cockpit. I have seen it in actual service by the Netherlands Navy Air Arm. For some updates on my model, I visited the Armed Forces Air Force Museum in Soesterberg. Armed with my camera, I made some pictures. Regretfully I was not allowed inside the airframe. The parked aircraft, has been handed over (Free of cost) by the German Federal Navy. Standing next to it, you realize how hughe the aircraft actually is. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
  16. Hello Daneel,

The grey paint used on the German Atlantic was: Xtracolor Enamel. X003 BS 637 Medium Sea Grey. Straight from the jar, only mixing with white spirit to get the right substance for the airbrush.

White I use standard Revell Enamel satin white (SM301.) Also mixing with white spirit. This white never has let me down.

    Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.

  17. hello plasticsurgean, Thanks for the positive response. I think mine example with the German flag was released a few years later. But nevertheless was also for years in "long storage". Regards, Orion
  18. Hello Ray, It took me a while to start with the model also. It is the size that put me off a few times. But after starting it was straight forward. Already lots of success with the future construction. Regards, Orion.
  19. Hello Miguel, Thanks for your kind words. Indeed, rarely seen in a finished state. I bought a special plastic container that was high and long enough. For storage, transportation but above all fighting the dust collection on plastic. Regards, Orion.
  20. Hello Daneel, Thanks for your kind words. The grey is straight from the jar. XtraColor enamel. X003 / BS637 / RAF Medium Sea Grey. Only mixing with white spirit for the airbrush. Regards, Orion.
