  2. Hi Andrew, RAN Wessex Ugly bird, but gave sterling service to RN and RAN. Your model got the right looks. Well constructed and painted. I give it a 10+ Dirk The Netherlands.
  3. Hi Garry, Thanks for taking the time to respond to my article. All pictures are of the same model. Window wipers, Windscreen (bubble) and paint is added, after I was sure the Spanisch are using this type of window. It gives the crew the possibility to put their head in the bubble for more eyeball vision. Aloso the load has been placed months after finishing the AC. Some pics show the cargo bay empty. I prepared the cargo bay, but had to get the idear and inspiration to get it done. Highest Regards, Dirk The Netherlands
  4. FOKKER F27 MK400 MPA MARITIME PATROL AIRCRAFT EJÉRCITO DEL AIRE REINO DE ESPAÑA In 1979 Spain bought 3 F-27 aircraft, serialsD2- 01 D2-02 D2-03 for Maritime Patrol, Fishery protection, Coast Guard duties, SAR and Communication between the Canary Islands. The same three aircraft are still in use today. Based at Gando Airbase Las Palmas. Lately they are painted overall grey. So if you travelling to these Islands for vacation/spotting, keep the camera ready. Scale model 1/72 from Esci (very basic) Built out of box, including the excellent decals Revell Master Class Airbrush and Xtra Color Paint brought the model to life. Dirk
  5. NORTH AFRICA 1941 “ALLO ALLO HERE RADIO TRIPOLI” This 1/35 scale diorama was an coöperation between Luc De Dapper, experienced tank/vehicle modeler, and Marc DeGraeve, experienced figurine designer with master paint skills. Both are members of the Model Club Eeklo, Belgium. Luc purchased the North African House, Marc had a look at it and from there the planning took shape, resulting from the list below. MATERIALS: Radio unit: IBG Scale 1/35 Einheitsdiesel (coöperation built between MAN-KRUPP-HENSCHEL) Interior (lighted) scratch. Command Vehicle: Italerie Scale 1/35 Horch Kfz 15 House: North African House Mini-art scale 1/35 Figurines: On the balcony Ref: 35016 DAK officer from Alpine / Ref: German DAK crew Alpine Figurines near Truck: Figurines from different manufactures being repositioned to achieve the correct stand Figurines on the rooftop: Bronco Figurines near oil drums: Verlinden Interior: From Marc’s long kept supplies As you can see, the house is fully detailed and the rooms are completely decorated in North African style and a lot of supplies from the occupying German comms unit. The result, when two different disciplined modelers are coming together, you can judge for yourself. Enjoy. Dirk (Club member)
