  2. Hello Abteilung and Circloy, Thank you both for this inside in color indications on Jerry Cans and Drums. I will be looking forward to some more responses. In the meantime, will try to get some information from the US. I will be keeping this site informed about the progress. Regards, Orion.
  3. Dear fellow modelers, Any specialist out there, that can tell me the color indications on jerry cans during WW2 and in the fifties. Also specific book-titles on the subject are welcome. Questions; 1. Water/Diesel/Gasoline/AVGAS/AVTUR/Lubricants color indication 2. Where were these color indications noticeable marked on the jerry cans or oil drums by the US and GB forces. I have been asking by the historical department from the Dutch Army, but no sensible answers. Got only white and red on clips. To my knowledge there were no clips in WW2. Your answers will be very much appreciated. Regards, Orion The Netherlands.
  4. "UP IN TH AIR" That's were these Phantoms should be. Great idear and very smart excecuted. Regards, Orion
  5. Hello "62", Stunning model from the Norwegian Airforce. These military (rescue) aviators most be very skilled to operate in the harsh Norweging climate. (Mountains and thousends of fjords.) Your model is a clear tribute to their operations. Thanks to Whirley Bird and Vingtor, this was all possible. Regards, Orion.
  6. I agree what is mentioned above. The pictures (scale ) did put me on the wrong foot (Scale) Superb model. Regards, Orion.

  12. Hello 238, I think you can not find any customer (worldwide) who is not satisfied with the performance of the Twin Otter on floats-skis/different type of wheels. This reliable multi function workhorse is still in production and (Yes) would have been a good acquisition for the RAF. If the RAF is told about this model, you never know what is going to happen in the future. Indeed, I like your proposal very much. Regards, Orion./
  13. Hello March, Excellent model and great presentation on the rotating plate. Regards, Orion
  14. Hello HSR, This model is a topper. I really like the looks of it. Regards, Orion.
  15. Hello RAY, The Argentina Armada Fleet Air Arm is small, but very effective. Highly trained and very dedicated crew. Your model shows this to great effect. With the USN replacement of the P-3C to the new "Poseidon" , it is likely, that some of the air frames will be used to replace the old P-3B. So we will see the P-3 for many years to come. Amazing design, from many, many years ago, still soldering on. Your model looks fantastic. Excellent color scheme Regards, Orion.
  16. Hello Aigore, I have seen this aircraft performing at two air shows. I was very impressed with the take off (Full AB) and the reverse parking at the end. I am just as impressed with your model. Looks fantastic. Regards, Orion.
  17. I passed this model already once. But I was tempted to look again. Color Scheme and the fresh (Clean-Marine) look made it for me. EXCELLENT. Regards, Orion.
  18. Hello Red Baron 5, Thanks for the additional information. That's what I call a QR (Quick Response) All new information regarding the France Air Force. Regards, Orion
  19. The Royal Netherlands Air Force needed to replace their F-84F Thunderstreak around the mid sixties. Together with the Belgians the started the search for a successor. Eventually, belgium opted for the Mirage 5. Not the Dutch, they opted for the Northrop F-5. The order of 105 examples was not ordered in the US, but by Canadair. They were allowed the rights to build in licence. The Dutch NF-5 was not an standard CF-5, but had many adjustments. To name a few: jet engines with more trust (Canadian Orenda J85), leading edge flaps, tailhook, different nose wheel strut that was able to "grow" longer, to change the angle of incidence by the start. They were delivered between 1969 and 1972. In 1991 the last one was taken out of service. Many NF-5's were sold to Turkey and Greece. In these named countries they were to fly on for many years to come. https://www.lanasta.eu/Shop/product/257/northrop-nf5.html Regards, Orion. The Netherlands.
