  1. Catchie title I must say, by the time you had warned someone you had spotted it, it would already have shot you down ! I don't envy you that many pieces, I can almost see the carpet monster salivating at the thought Good luck with the build cheers Pat
  2. Hi Christian Yes it is the old VEB, reboxed, thanks for the tips re SWMBO, all advice / bitter experience gratefully received ! cheers Pat
  3. This aircraft has to be one of the Warsaw Pact's icons from this era, the only thing that changed over the years was the type of NATO aircraft flying along side it asking / telling it to go home ! What this kit lacks in accuracy, detail and finesse is more than compensated by the size it's a whopper ! Not many bits so it shouldn't take too long to build, famous last words of many a build on BM. Pictures below, good luck to everyone on this and all the GBs cheers Pat Classic East German box artwork It's going to need a lot of H11 Silver paint ! I did say there wasn't many bits, didn't I ! The wingspan is even bigger, this is going to take some smooth talking / grovelling when Mrs Jockney sees this !

I haven't encountered the filter when making any post, II can only apologise for my lack of vocabulary that and a dodgy comprehensive education although the Jesuit teachers might have had more to do with it. cheers Pat
  5. Thanks Fuad, everyday is school day, always great to learn something new. Cheers Pat
  6. Well done, 3 fantastic examples, the Do26 has a really beautiful shape, but I can't imagine what the original designer thought when they fitted that front turret ! Cheers Pat
  7. Congratulations Andrii Having followed the build the finished result is a thing of beauty What can we look forward to next ? cheers Pat
  8. Hi Fuad Congratulations, you win of course the Ju390 and Me264 is also symmetrical How about some flying boats, Dornier 26, Emily, Mavis ? Cheers Pat
  9. Hi Fuad I agree looks aren't everything, I'm no oil painting myself, how about this one ? Not pretty but you are going to need a lot of green paint cheers Pat
  10. Hi Fuad Beautiful work congratulations, what can we look forward to next ? We haven't had a big aircraft for a while, do you have an me323 in the stash ? regards Pat
  11. Congratulations that sir is a cracker. This is the first built one of these I have seen and it looks the business. I have always been intrigued by the red stripes on the top wing for Italian aircraft of this era. I always wondered if it was to make them more visible if they ditched at sea ? The old Felixstowe flying boats did a simular thing in World War One. Can I ask how long it took you to build it ? cheers Pat
  12. Fantastic job, can I ask do the Taranto raid decals come with the kit ? Pat
  13. Outstanding. I know it's correct but the fuselage colour and the wing colour always seems a strange combination. You would have thought they would be either one or the other. I have the ancient original boxing of this, which looks enormous, yours must look amazing congratulations Pat
  14. Thank you so much for reminding us all, of when kits were bought with pocket money, and you ran home because you were so desperate to start building it ! Wouldnt it be great if we can all create that same level of excitement with the next generation of modellers. cheers Pat
  15. Hi Hairy Sorry mate, my geography is shocking, I had no idea you were that far away and I believe enjoying summer ? Only one kit left in the stash ! I suggest you edit that bit, lots on here myself included have a stash that even if we were reincarnated we wouldn't finish ! Pat
  16. First couple of pictures, I thought that's a cracker, then the engine cover is removed and you think as others have said, no you don't fool me this is a real one ! simply stunning congratulations cheers Pat
  17. Congratulations, both aircraft are a credit to you and the history behind them makes the builds even more significant cheers Pat
  18. Good morning Hairy I love the eclectic mix of aircraft, personal favourites of the ones posted are the Hurricane and the Blackbird. The recent Black Widow look the business, did you need need to add any weight to it as it looks a tail sitter from side on ? What aircraft can we look forward to seeing next and what are you currently working on ? cheers Pat
  19. Hi Les That's a new kit company for me, but far more importantly the aircraft looks the business, congratulations. Stainless steel rigging sounds very different from the normal fishing line etc, what's the story please ? cheers Pat
  20. That classic, still looks the business, congratulations cheers Pat
  21. Hi Stefan List the parts you need on the wanted section of BM, lots of people on here are really helpful. Good luck in you quest, let us know if the parts turn up. regards Pat
  22. Tony, don't be so hard on yourself, at one stage you were building half the Russian airforce in a GB as I remember. Stop multitasking, genetically us boys aren't meant to do that sort of thing anyway cheers Pat
  23. Adrian You are a star, I will definitely try that, thanks
  24. Really lovely job, congratulations The alternative decals was a smart move, I don't think I have ever been able to use a set of Novo decals, they seem to desolve on impact with any liquid ! Yet the original Frog ones are still perfect after all these years ? I look forward to seeing the next blast from the past, from you collection. Now where did I put my own Hotspur kit cheers Pat
  25. Wonderful job congratulations. Who else but Matchbox would have produced a kit of this aircraft, but we should all be very grateful they did ! cheers Pat
