Last time you heard from me, I had had a paint reaction and any chance of completing this within the Blitzbuild was lost. However I didn't want it joining the shelf of doom, so stripped off the paint and redid it, the results of which are below. Better late than never Cheers Pat

L096/218 Caudron-Renault 714 The Wooden Blunder **Finished**
JOCKNEY replied to JOCKNEY's topic in Heller Classic GB
Apologies this one hasn't got into the gallery yet as the masking took long than expected But that's all finished, replacement pitot tube made and fitted, so what's stopping me... Just that the decals I have have yellowed with age so I'm trying to revive them with UV currently, this is supposed to work, but it's the first time I've tried it. So I'm stuck for the minute, however I have made a start on my other builds and actually finished my Fulmar, from the last Blitzbuild ! Cheers Pat -
143 - Groupe mitrailleuses Hotchkiss (complete)
JOCKNEY replied to Dean Whiston's topic in Heller Classic GB
Delighted to see this one joining the GB, not a kit I've seen before either. Good luck with the build. Cheers Pat -
Hi Martin All good mate, it's great to have the info, then it's always up the individual what they wish to do with their kit / build. I could recount the tale of a Frog Renzan / Rita build and the choice of Japanese trainer Orange / Yellow, but I can't as my therapist has advised against it in the strongest terms ! Good luck Jerzy, when I build mine it will be out of the box cause, I'm a big girls blouse, sorry can't find an emoji for that ! Cheers Pat

L390 Amiot 143 The flying Chocolate Eclair ++Finished++
JOCKNEY replied to JOCKNEY's topic in Heller Classic GB
Humbrol 121 it is then Bit more flash on the Smer boxing than the Heller original, which is only to be expected as the moulds got older I suppose Trial fit of wings to fuselage is a bit disappointing, as neither of them fit in the slot in the fuselage ! @TonyW fingers crossed yours is ok as you have yours all painted, and looking the business. Still can't make my mind up about whether to do an interior, it's that balance of build extra kits over more time spent on this one. "I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure !" Cheers Pat -
L390 Amiot 143 The flying Chocolate Eclair ++Finished++
JOCKNEY replied to JOCKNEY's topic in Heller Classic GB
Been looking at starting this one, despite unfinished builds littering the house... However Mrs Jockney is away for a couple of nights so the opportunity for a kit bash is too good to resist ! I have been doing a bit of research on the interior colour, (no seriously this time !) and the colour "Chamois" seems to keep being mentioned. Any ideas on a Humbrol equivalent of this ? My first thoughts was Humbrol Oak H71, any thoughts ? I was going to leave the interior but it's too open so it's off the scrap box, for inspiration Cheers Pat -
Hi Jerzy There is no obligation on you to change the kit if you don't want to mate, the only obligation in a Group Build is to enjoy yourself ! Look forward to following this one, whichever way you decide to build it. Cheers Pat

Hi @CrazyCrank Delighted you have joined the Group Build, and what's not to like about a Bugatti and a Mercedes ! Please start a buy thread for your build / builds and welcome to the centre of the Heller universe, you are in excellent company. Best of luck Cheers Pat

What's up Dave getting soft in our old age are we ? There are pubs up here in Scotland that do a breakfast if you've drunk right through from the previous night Cheers Pat

Well is real answer is both obviously, where's @Enzo Matrix when you need him Cheers Pat

Hi Paul Great idea, my 2 suggestions for this would be anything built by either Merlin or Unicraft. Pop me down on the list, absolutely no will power when it comes to GB's Cheers Pat
-
Sorry can I ask a daft question, did you spray the parts your intended colours or did they come like that ? Cheers Pat
-
Looking really good Rob, definitely the right idea re engine / drivechain alignment. That would really annoy you if it wasn't right. Cheers Pat

Wow Rob, your post in the chat section took me right back to being a nipper. My Gran used to live on Hayling Island so Havant was our trip to the shops where if I was well behaved I might get to buy a model, which of course would be built within hours of getting back to Grans. Best of luck with the build. Cheers Pat

Looking great Björn, it will be terrific to see such a distinctive aircraft in this GB. Best of luck Cheers Pat

I think Kingkit must really enjoy these Classic GBs, although worryingly I hear they are currently stocking up with Starfix kits in anticipation for a future GB ! Cheers Pat

Gloster Sea Gladiator 813F NAS
JOCKNEY replied to 825's topic in Mediterranean Theatre of Operations (MTO) in WW2 GB III
Looking very sharp @825, the pilot looks really nicely moulded and your painting of him really highlights this. Makes a nice change from some of the aliens we were given as pilots on previous kits ! Cheers Pat -
Great work Tony, although I think you are showing off your trainer yellow skills ! Cheers Pat

JOCKNEY replied to Touvdal's topic in Mediterranean Theatre of Operations (MTO) in WW2 GB III
Really enjoying this one, we don't see enough Greek builds. Cheers Pat -
Hi Greg Really enjoyed following this one, congratulations. I hope to finish the same aircraft in the MTO III GB. Can I ask what colours you used to paint the crew please ? Many thanks Pat
-
Hi Dennis I just noticed Lavender is one of the camouflage colours, you must have a very extensive paint range ! Cheers Pat

Hi Philip Great to have you with us, if you do go for the stripy version make sure you use good quality masking tape, I didn't on a Hawk and the result looked like a scene from Reservoir Dogs when I took the tape off ! Cheers Pat
