Agree with that, excellent paintwork and a good looking ship, I've been fascinated by this ship since seeing it in a Blue Peter Annual in the 60's (or 70's)

Had a search but couldn't find the turret code for Sydney, my guess would be SD. Surprisingly few aerial photos of her.

Another one I need to see.... and the hardware next to it. Slight pity they enclosed it in a wet dock from a photo point of view, but I suppose this helps with the preservation

I thought the war in the Pacific was over. I would put it down to realistic battle damage, looks repairable, and thankfully Sydney is intact. You may wish to remove all musical instruments from the dockyard premises

Not very sure... for tethering boats or hanging something? They are a bit like the big anchor posts forward. Following this with great interest, having built the original Matchbox version more moons ago than I care to remember. I had plans for radio control that never quite worked. Going to be a beauty when you finish. Incidentally the windows, and the hatches in which they are set in, which are openable for ventilation and a bit of light (and maintenance), are the skylights.
