  1. Good for you showing your early modelling efforts. Personally I would find it too painful to look at my previous builds, and would often just throw them away and start again!
  2. Fantastic! But it must take so long to do!!
  3. Love the painting and display. The skin maybe looks a little too dark?
  4. Great model, well done! HaHa my Avatar is the Gambier Bay. It comes from the book cover off the book about the Gambier Bay!
  5. Hi. With Vallejo Model Colour paints I like to give the paint bottle a good shake with an electric shaker, then dispense a little into a small plastic cup (cheap ones from Reject shop for eg), and add Vallejo thinner for a milky consistency, PLUS a drop or 2 of Vallejo FlOW. Have a good stir, and then pour into the airbrush. Seems to work well with me. I also might add a little thinner when using Vallejo Air paints.
  6. Great work. Amazing story. I think the pilot should have been given a medal for inititive, a brilliant landing and saving the plane!
  7. HaHa!, now I'm tempted! Need to think fast.
  8. I've just seen this. I've never entered a modelling competition in my life. I think I'm too scared to be judged now.
  9. Looks amazing. Just needs some Grenadier Guards! Actually they were at Hougmont. I think I mean't KGL (King Germal Legion) soldiers.
  10. Looks amazing. Love seeing figures with a plane/vehicle whatever, always improves a sense of scale.
  11. Indeed me too. Had a Honda 50 that ran out of fuel. Luckily I had a down hill free wheel for about 3 miles to the next petrol station!
  12. Faultless! What a Master. So many great skills.
  13. Love it! Appropriate for ANZAC Day tomorrow Saturday here in Oz! Were'nt the DLI the most 'successful' regiment during WW2?
  14. Thanks everyone. Thanks Badder for the comment, indeed since looking at the photos I've seen a few things I could improve on. including muddier/dustier shoes/boots.
  15. Fantastic. Beautifully assembled, painted and presented. Museum quality as they say!
  16. HaHa, well spotted the deliberate mistake! Since edited!
  17. Just in time for the ANZAC commemoration this Saturday 25th April 2020. It marks the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. This diorama represents a scene from the Westen Front sometime between 1914-1918. The figures and a tench wall came from Masterbox 35114. The rest is composed of an assortment of boxes/tins and scratch babred wire, sandbags. The figures may look shiny in the photos but appear a nice dull matt in reality?
  18. Incredible! fantastic painting, rigging, presentation!
  19. Fantastic, life like model. Would love to see photos of the process involved in the making of this 'diorama'.
  20. I like Fine EZ line but you still need to be wary of twists.
  21. Really amazing painting! Obviously a lot of love and care went in to that. Was the wood effect painted in oils?
  22. Looking very neat! I think MDF is great stuff to use as well. Haha 😂you might need to get hold of a mask, to avoid the toxic dust it produces when cutting.
  23. You can purchase aftermarket buckles etc, plus decal insignias.
