  1. So tell me Mr Canberra, how many times have you wished that your paving slabs were to scale
  2. Ive just had a look through a dozen or so images of underside shots of 43 Phantoms and that area looks slightly shaded/darkenend which suggests the panels at least remained as original FG1 spec, then I found one image that proves they were where the hook is a lot clearer- that image is un dated but I estimate circa mid 1970s
  3. So now you're just showing off Great work Calum, real effort to get the accuracy right, I like!!
  4. I'm hoping this is a T2/T4 release but easily rectified if it isn't
  5. I think its just the lighting and angle John, Im always up to be proved wrong but Ive never seen a T2 with a non standard nose, BAe, A&AEE etc included - do agree though that image makes it look odd
  6. Rene, I followed your build on Facebook and the finished build is awesome - your photography too is just as good as your build.
  7. Great trio Paul, I so wish we had a new tool Super Mystere available on the market in 1/48 of course
  8. I have Mirages coming out my ears, so I'm in this one
  9. Id much prefer someone like Special Hobby or Revell, Kinetic would supply as a 1000 pc kit!
  10. As Cpl Jones used to say........"close those airbrakes" :-) Coming on nicely
  11. Ive only ever built the Airfix's HC1 so I can comment on other brands, but the Airfix kit seemed quite good - The HC4s are basically upgraded HC2's and externally the main visual differences are the lack of the "TV earials" on the nose and the addition of nose mounted FLIR - the other non visible improvements were avionics & Engines.
  12. Thats a cracker and beautifully presented and photographed too
  13. Yes I heard that but Ive also recently finished Kinetics Mirage III and a Belgian Mirage VBD (2 seat) both w/o weighting the nose - the main u/c is set sufficiently far back.
  14. I used Tamiya Acrylic paints and found them spot on straight from the jar XF61 Dk Green XF66 Light Grey
  15. No weight needed, the positioning of the u/c prevents the need for it - however if youd like to add some just in case, no harm done.
  16. Apart from stencils immediately below the cockpit which are yellow, stencilling is in Black throughout the rest of the aircraft. Im not aware of any dedicated stencil decal sheets for the GR5/7 but of course Hasegawa released the GR5 in 1/48 so it may be able to track decals down that way?
  17. One thing you forgot...... You appear to have everything else Will be watching
