  1. If your a Facebook member why not just ask them?
  2. If you looking to model an RAFG version, then your looking at the T4 version only....
  3. Love those, really clean builds - Cold War warriors all day long
  4. Apart from having a stalled 1/48 C1 in my WiP stash, Im also an ex RAF Mover and have lashed down a load or two in C1/C3's in my time - watching very carefully now
  5. Typhoons self designate so I wouldnt think so, perhaps more likely to be the first option if in fact true - when's the last time you saw a GR4 with self defensive ordanance (chaff aside). The report suggests the combination of both a/c capabilities work well for best results across many areas.
  6. Thats a bloody great build mate and brilliantly presented
  7. The masking and spraying is like a build in its own right - looking really good
  8. I didnt realise that they'd included an air intake cover - a nice little feature that
  9. I dont know any more than I added above and it could be in fact that these dates are wrong - taken from the book "Shackelton, Guardian of the sea lanes" - there is an image of a Mk1 flying over London with Westminster Abbey clearly below. Its definately a Mk1 in the image so it would suggest that there was another flypast. Sorry I couldnt add more info
  10. On the off chance that some of your data could be wrong? 220 Sqn flying MR1s over flew London on 5th June 1952 as part of the Coronation flypast. VP257 was amongst the formation although I have no idea how many were in the formation. Different occassion or inaccurate date somewhere?
  11. There isnt a bad 104 Nato scheme so pick your favourite
  12. Id personally take this route - providing you apply the gloss coat adequetly and allow at least 24hrs drying, it should be ok over decals, especially if you use a low tack tape?
  13. I followed you WiP thread with interest - both turned out looking the biz
  14. Thanks all For sure, these new kits have everything included but in their own way, offer challenges. Just goes to prove what a classic that Monogram Harrier was :-)
  15. The Monogram kit was re-scribed, the Airfix kit donated the Nose and tail sections only, resin cockpit, Flightpath CLB pod and decals are Sky. The 330 Gal ferry tanks were made by converting F-111 tanks and all paints are Tamiya Acrylics. The WiP thread id here http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234992202-harrier-gr3-merging-monogram-airfix-kits-148/
  16. Finished.... Might add a few RBF tags and take pics when the Sun comes out........ Its been fun
  17. As long as you dont present a parked Lightning with the air brakes open, its all good :-)
  18. Can concur this as I had to research for my current GR3 build
  19. and with that tel tale brownish nose - looks great Bill that!
