My vote is Green in fact the standard Green finish across the Merlin fleet - she's a HC3A which was one of the a/c destined for Denmark but Afghan changed all of that!

I think you'll struggle because I dont believe she did see operational service in that scheme - she was painted up for the beginning of the airshow season the year she was withdrawn - and pretty much restricted to static appearances thereafter.

Flew in 222 7th February 1980 when she was with 24 Sqn - Aldergrove to Odiham 1hr 10 mins

I also remember "Trembling 222" well enough - I was at Odiham 77- 81 (Supply) and when parts were issued, the specific aircrafts serial was always used in the issue doc - seems she was a hanger queen more often than not because XW222 was always quoted - however at this time she was with with 230 Sqn and not 33 Sqn.

Bulgarian markings are quite cool!
